Product Usage Instructions

Charging the Speaker and Smartphone

  1. Charge the speaker before using it by opening the rear cover and connecting the speaker to the charging adapter.
  2. To charge a smartphone:
  3. Connect the speaker to the charging adapter. If adapter not connected, press Power button on the speaker to turn it on.
  4. Connect the smartphone to the DC OUT (5 V 0 2 A) terminal via USB cable to start charging.

Connecting LG XBOOM App

  1. Find LG XBOOM app on Google Play or App Store and install it on your smartphone.
  2. Run the LG XBOOM app to access additional features like EQ,Wireless Party Link, Lighting, Sleep Timer, Settings, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What should I do if the Bluetooth connection fails?
A: Ensure both the speaker and smartphone are sufficiently charged, within range, and try reconnecting by following the steps provided.

Q: Can I use a different charging adapter with the speaker?
A: It is recommended to use only the AC adapter supplied with the device to avoid potential damage not covered by warranty.

Q: Is the speaker waterproof?
A: The speaker is not waterproof. Do not immerse it in water or expose it to excessive moisture.

Connecting and Using the Speaker

  1. Charge the speaker before using it by opening the rear cover and connecting the speaker to the charging adapter.

  2. Charging a smartphone

  3. Connect the speaker to the charging adapter. Or if the adapter is not connected, press the Power button on the speaker to turn it on.

  4. Connect the smartphone to the DC OUT (5 V 2 A) terminal via the USB cable. The smartphone starts to be charged.

  5. Connect the speaker to a smartphone via Bluetooth

  6. Press the Power button on the speaker to turn it on. Bluetooth LED blinks.

  7. Press the Settings button on the smartphone and select Bluetooth .
    Turn on the Bluetooth function.
    (Off > On )

  8. Find “LG-XG8T (XX)” on the device list on the smartphone and connect to it. Once the smartphone is connected via Bluetooth, the Bluetooth LED will turn on.

  9. On the smartphone, play a music of your choice.

  10. Connecting the LG XBOOM App

  11. Find LG XBOOM app on the Google Play or App Store and install it on your smartphone.

  12. Run the LG XBOOM app and use more features. (EQ, Wireless Party Link, Lighting, Sleep Timer, Setting etc.)

    Do not leave rubber or plastic products in contact with the unit for a long period of time.

  • Do not place the unit over the vehicle’s air bag. When the air bag deploys, it may result in injury. Before using in the car, fix the unit.

  • Do not use the handsfree function during driving a car.

  • Do not leave the unit on an unstable place such as high shelves. it may fall down because of the vibration of the sound.

  • Do not use high voltage products around this product. (ex. Electrical swatter) This product may malfunction due to electrical shock.
    CAUTION when using this product in environments of low humidity.

  • It may cause static electricity in environments of low humidity.

  • It is recommended to use this product after touching any metal object which conducts electricity.

CAUTION: Only use the AC adapter supplied with this device. Do not use a power supply from another device or another manufacturer. Using any other power cable or power supply may cause damage to the device. The LG limited warranty does not cover damage caused by the use of third party accessories.

This device is equipped with a portable battery or accumulator.

How to Safely remove the batteries or the battery pack from the equipment:
To Remove the old batteries or battery pack, follow the assembly steps in reverse order. To prevent contamination of the environment and bring on possible threat to human and/or animal health, the old batteries or the battery pack must be put in an appropriate container at designated collection points. Do not dispose of batteries or battery pack together with other waste. It is recommended that you use local, free reimbursement systems batteries or battery packs, (may not be available in your area). The batteries or the battery pack should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

POWER: This unit operates on a mains supply of 100-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz.

Wiring: This unit is supplied with a BS 1363 approved main plug. When replacing the fuse, always use a fuse of the same rating and approved to BS 1362. Never use this plug with the fuse cover omitted. To obtain a replacement fuse cover contact your dealer. If the type of plug supplied is not suitable for the mains sockets in your home, then the plug should be removed and a suitable type fitted. Please refer to the wiring instructions below:

Warning: A mains plug removed from the mains lead of this unit must be destroyed.
A mains plug with bared wires is hazardous if inserted in a mains socket. Do not connect either wire to the earth pin,marked with the letter E or with the earth symbol 6 or coloured green or green and yellow. If any other plug is fitted, use same rating of fuse in the plug.

Important: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following codes:

  • BLUE: NEUTRAL, BROWN: LIVE – As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this unit may not correspond with the coloured marking identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
