Thank you for purchasing the VANGOA MIDI SAXOPHONE EWl-100. This compact saxophone is a simple blow instrument itself, as well as a MIDI input device. Hope you enjoy life’ s melody with this product.
To ensure a better user experience, please read this manual carefully before using the product. And please keep this manual handy for further reference.
Features Highlight
Chargeable – This product is chargeable and enables 4 hours of free playing. 10 Tones – Built-in speaker. To get better sound performance, connect to a headset or an amp.
Reverb effect – High quality reverb effect of 30 levels adjustment.
2 Fingerings, 3 sensitivities – Two types of fingerings, which meet the habit you like. Three sensitivities react differently to the wind you blow.

OPERATING GUIDE

Set up
Install the silicone mouthpiece to the product. -
Charge the product
The product is chargeable. Please charge the product with a type-C USB cable before using. -
Turn ON/OFF the product
Press the power button for 0.5s to turn on the product.
Press the power button again to turn off the product.
The product will be automatically off if there is no operation in 10 minutes. -
Use a set of headphone
Insert a 1/8′ plug into the headphone connector.
The built-in speaker will mute automatically. -
Change a tone
Press the Tone button, then press the -/+ button to choose a tone from 1 – 10. The tones are listed blown.01 Saxl| 02 Sax2| 03 Clarinet| 04 Pan Flute| OS Trumpet

Adjust the volume
Press the Vol button, then press the -/+ button to change the volume. The parameter ranges from 0 – 12, the larger number the higher the volume. -
Change the blowing density
Press the Breath button, then press the-/+ button to select the density. 01 easy/ 02 standard / 03 heavy -
Change a fingering
Press the Finger button, then press the -/ + button to change the fingering. There are 2 fingerings, which will be explained further in the “how to play” section. -
Adjust the reverb effect
Press the Reverb button, then press the -/ + button to adjust the amount of the reverb effect. The parameter range from 0 – 30, the bigger the number, the strong the effect. By default, the number is 20. -
TRANSPOSE
Press the transpose button, then press the -/+ button to adjust the transpose function. The parameter ranges from -12 to + 12. -
Reset
Press the reset button to the default setting if you mess the settings up.
MIDI CONNECTIONS
The advantage of this product as a MIDI input device is the aftertouch, i.e. you can get velocity change by your blowing density after a note start.

Connect the product to the computer with a USB-A to USB TYPE-C cable. The EWl-100 is a driver-free device. The computer will automatically recognize the device as a MIDI input device. You can then choose the device in your DAWs.

Connect to Android devices with the USB cable.
Engage the OTG function in the phone/pad setting. -
Wireless connection.
The EWl-100 can send and receive MIDI messages via bt. The wireless connection is auto-on when you turn on the product.
Search and connect the device on the phone/pad via bt. The device name is MIDI EWI. You may need to choose the device in the app before using.
HOW TO PLAY
Generally speaking, you need to blow air into the mouthpiece to make the note start and press the sensors with your fingers to decide the pitch.
You may play the instrument like this:
There are two fingerings, but the basic principles are similar:

Play basic notes following the fingering chart.

And you can get +1 octave with your thumb pressing the octave+ sensor, or you can get -1 octave by pressing the octave- sensor.

You can get a flat or sharp note by adding a semitone – or + sensor.
