BIOPSY PUNCH
Read instructions carefully before use.
Sterile. For SINGLE USE only
Multiple biopsies or samples are needed on the time patient, a new device must
be used each time.
Do not re-sterilize or re-use due to the risk of infection.
Do not use it if the sterile blister package is compromised or damaged.
Available sizes
Biopsy punch is a standardized method for performing skin biopsies.
Stretch skin, to relax skin tension lines.
Hold the punch between the thumb and index
finger. Place. on the upper skin surface, with moderate pressure press down in
a clockwise “screwing” motion.
Gently grip and raise the skin sample with
small anatomical tweezers, avoiding any crushing. Separate with scissors or a
scalpel at the base if necessary.
For wounds s 4 mm gently compress or close with hydrocolloid tape. For wounds,
z 4 mm close with sutures, clips or adhesive strips as clinically appropriate.
