JQBQS 12 IN Rain Shower System Ceiling Mount

Preparation

Note: The packing case has two layers. Please check all the parts carefully.

Check the package

1. To ensure installation process going well, please check the parts as follows. If there is a damaged product packaging, or missing parts, or any other problems, please let us know, we will make it right;
2. After all the parts are counted, please keep them properly.
   

Determine location and height of installation

Based on your height and preferences determine its installation location and height.

Prepare the installation tools

• Electric drill

• Pencil

• Screwdriver

• Tape measure

• Spirit level with horizontal and vertical indicators

• Split ring pliers

• Knife

• Teflon tape

• Wrench

• Hammer

Connect the water pipe with the valve body

1. Close the main water supply system in your home;
2. Mark the installation position of your valve body, cut the pipe to an appropriate length, and install the NPT 1 /2″ adapter pipe fitting on the pipes;
3. Flush the pipes to ensure that there are no impurities in the pipes and then connect the hot and cold water pipe with valve body .
   

Determine the embedded depth of the valve body and the pipeline

The optimum depth of the valve body to the tile surface is 2. 75″(70mm). Outlet water pipe elbow should be level with the tile.

Installation

Fix the valve body and the pipeline

1. Fix the valve body by screw; Please use a spirit level to test whether it is in a horizontal level;
2. Fix the pipe and pipe elbow to ensure that the ports of the rain shower head and the handheld head are aligned with the final tile surface.
   

Test with water

1. Check if water pressure and temperature of the cold and hot water are normal;

2. Remove the plastic cover on the valve body, and install the shower control handle;
   Please note: The panel is not necessary to be installed temporarily;
   

3. Open the main water supply system and then turn on the handle to flush the outlet pipes, at the same time, check if the pressure is normal;

4. After the test, block all the pipe outlets with the pipe plugs and then turn on the handle to check if there has any connection problem or leaking problem;
   

5. After the test, keep the plastic cover on the valve body till the tiles are finished to prevent the valve body from being damaged.

Install the valve body panel

1. Cut off the part of the embedded box outside the tile surface after installing the tiles to ensure that it is aligned with the tile surface;
   

2. Install the valve body panel, the valve knob and the valve handle.
   

Install the shower arm & rain shower head

1. Wrap Teflon tape around the brass fitting thread;
   

2. Use 8mm hex wrench to attach brass fitting to the pipe adaptor;
   

3. Insert the shower arm;

4. Attach shower arm to brass fitting with hex screws;

5. Install the decorative cover;

6. Install the rain shower head.

Install the hand shower holder & hand shower head

1. Wrap Teflon tape around the brass fitting, use 8mm hex wrench to attach brass fitting to the pipe adaptor;

2. Insert the hand shower holder;

3. Attach hand shower holder to brass fitting with hex screws;

4. Install the decorative cover;

5. Install the shower hose;

6. Place hand shower on the hand shower holder and finished.

FAQs

Precautions in the installation

Before sealing the wall

1. Please be sure to flush the pipe, so as to prevent the pipeline from being blocked by impurities.
2. Ensure that there is no leakage at the pipe connection.
3. Check whether the hot and cold water can work normally.
4. Test pressure and airtightness of the water pipe.

FAQs

Question: Why is the hot water not hot enough?

Solution 1 :The hot water pipe is blocked. Please remove the valve cartridge and flush the hot water pipe.

*If your shower system is working properly, do not remove the valve cartridge.

Solution 2: We added 2 check valves in the valve body to prevent water hammer, It also can be used to regulate cold water inlet pressure and hot water inlet pressure, and even shut off inlet water when you need. You can turn the check valve counterclockwise on the hot water side to get a higher hot water pressure.

Solution 3: The pressure balance cartridge has sophisticated structure, It requires the hot and cold water pressure to be as close as possible, otherwise the hot water will not be hot enough. For this situation, we recommend that you add a booster pump to achieve a relatively balanced cold and hot water pressure to solve this problem.

Solution 4: Different from the ordinary shower system, the shower system using the pressure balance cartridge will always mix cold and hot water even if the hot water was turned to the maximum. So its maximum water temperature will be lower than that faucet or shower system uses a ordinary valve cartridge. If you can get a higher temperature mixing water, please increase the setting temperature of the water heater.

Question: How can I get a high water pressure?

Solution: This shower set have been certified by the California Energy Commission. We meet California’s energy-saving requirements for water flow rates below 1.8GPM and we encourage everyone to comply with energy conservation requirements. But if you still need higher water pressure, you can remove the filter at the thread between shower arm and rain shower head to increase the water pressure.

Question: After using it for a few years, why does the rain shower head drip continuously and cannot completely shut down the shower system?

Solution : It may be caused by the loosening of the cartridge after long- term use, please contact us to get a new replace cartridge.

Question: What should I do if the thread of the shower arm or the handheld seat is too short to install, or the valve box is embedded too deep to install the control handle?

Solution: We have recommended the embedded depth of these parts for you in the installation part of this installation manual. If you have completed the installation and cannot remove the wall, please contact us and we will customize the thread length and extension valve kit for you to solve this problem.

Product maintenance

Please operate according to the detergent manufacturer’s instructions. In addition, pay attention to the following aspects:

1. Regularly clean the rain shower head and the handheld shower head to prevent the Impurities from being accumulated;
2. Clean it with the mild detergent like dish detergent and warm water, please be sure not to clean the set with the abradant or harsh chemicals, which will damage the surface treatment of shower system;
3. Carefully read the tag of cleaning product to ensure that the cleaning product can be safely used in the material;
4. Upon using the spray detergent, spray it onto the soft cloth or sponge firstly. Be sure not to directly spray it onto the faucet, because the drips will enter the opening and seams of the faucet to result in damage;
5. After cleaning, flush it with clean water to remove the stain.
