LAARS A0078800 Tanks For Volume Water Heater
Specially designed for installations where the peak demands require stored water. Both dependable and versatile, the storage tank is perfect for simple installations or for needed replacements. The tank can become a storage system by simply manifolding several tanks together when larger quantities of stored water are necessary. The Commercial Storage Tank meets the stringent efficiency performance criteria for energy-consuming appliances set forth in ASHRAE 90.1b (current standard).
Features

2” Non-CFC Foam Insulation:
The insulation covers the sides and top of the tank, reducing the amount of heat loss. This results in less energy consumption, improved operation efficiencies and jacket rigidity. -
Steel Tank:
Heavy gauge steel is automatically formed, rolled, and welded. -
Glass-Lined Tanks:
An exclusively engineered enamel formula that provides superior tank protection from the highly corrosive effects of hot water. This formula is fused to the steel surface by firing at a temperature of over 1600°F (871°C). -
T & P Valve Openings:
A separate 1″ NPT opening is provided for the installation of a temperature and pressure relief valve. -
Pressure Rating:
150psi (1034kPa) working pressure rating (certified at 300psi (2068kPa) test pressure). -
ASME Construction:
Models A0070101, A0073101 and A2086000 come standard with ASME construction. -
Two Protective Magnesium Anode Rods:
Provide added protection against corrosion for long trouble-free service. -
Rear Water Connection:
119-gallon models (A0078800 and A0070101) have a 2” NPT rear water connection for cold water make-up to the tank. -
Dielectric Fittings:
Factory-installed true dielectric fittings extend water heater life and ease installation. -
Handhole Cleanout:
Provides easy access for periodic inspection of the interior of the tank. -
High Temperature:
Designed for storage of potable water up to 180°F (82°C). -
¾” NPT Aquastat Fitting
Brass Drain Valve
APPLICATION NOTE: Local code or system design may require that a pressure and temperature relief valve be installed on the tank. When required, such devices should be sized to the output capacity of the boiler(s) heating the tank using the steam pressure rating of the relief valve.
