Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Please read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference.

  2. This appliance is intended for domestic use only and its intended purpose. Not intended for professional use.

  3. Do not use the appliance outdoors.

  4. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and over and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the associated risks.

  5. Children should not play with the appliance.

  6. Close supervision is required for any appliance used near children.

  7. CAUTION: Keep the appliance away from children and pets.

  8. Children should not play with the appliance. To ensure the safety of your children, please keep all packaging materials such as plastic bags, boxes, Styrofoam, etc. away from them.
    CAUTION : Do not allow small children to play with the packaging materials.
    Risk of suffocation!

  9. Unplug the appliance when not in use, before filling it with water, and before cleaning.

  10. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance must not be done by children without supervision.

  11. Before filling the water tank with water, remove the plug from the socket.

  12. Do not open the water tank cap during operation.

  13. Keep the iron and the cord of the appliance away from children under 8 years of age when it is switched on or cooling.

  14. CAUTION: The surface of the appliance may heat up and develop a high temperature during use.

  15. The iron must not be left unattended when connected to the power supply. Do not use the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room, you should always turn off the appliance.

  16. Make sure your mains voltage is the same as the voltage on the appliance’s rating label.

  17. The iron must be used and supported on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Use the iron only on an ironing board.

  18. When not in use, always place the iron vertically on its base on a stable surface.

  19. The iron must not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.

  20. Keep the appliance away from heat sources, direct sunlight, moisture (never immerse it in any liquid) and sharp edges.

  21. Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers, sinks, swimming pools, etc. where it may get wet or come into contact with water.

  22. To protect against electric shock, keep the appliance, plug and cord away from water or other liquids. Do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.

  23. Burns may occur from contact with hot metal parts, hot water or steam. Be careful when turning a steam iron over as there may be hot water in the water tank.

  24. Never immerse the iron in water or other liquids.

  25. Before connecting or disconnecting the appliance from the power supply, make sure that you have set the thermostat to the “OFF” position.

  26. Never bend or pull the cord.

  27. Unplug the appliance from the power supply when not in use, when moving it from one location to another, before installing or removing parts, and before cleaning.

  28. Do not let the cable come into contact with the hot surfaces of the appliance.

  29. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or a hot surface.

  30.  Periodically check the appliance and its cable for any damage.

**HOW TO USE

**

BEFORE FIRST OPERATION

  1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
  2. Remove all packaging materials and keep out of reach of children.
  3. Remove any sticker, protector or storage cover from the plate.
  4. Check that the mains voltage you will use matches the operating voltage indicated on the appliance’s rating label and that they are in correspondence.
    Heat the iron to maximum temperature and iron over a piece of wet cloth for several minutes to remove any residue on the plate.
    NOTE : When the appliance is used for the first time, there may be a slight odor. It is normal and does not affect the security of your appliance.

FILLING THE WATER TANK

  1. Remove the plug from the outlet before filling the water tank.
  2. Set the steam control switch to the “MIN” position and open the water inlet cap.
  3. Hold the iron in an inclined position, open the water-filling inlet cover, and then fill the tank with water using the included water-filling container to fill the tank with water up to the “MAX” mark.
  4. Lower the water fill inlet cap to close it until you hear the characteristic locking sound and wipe any water drops on the appliance housing.
    CAUTION : Do not fill the water tank above the “MAX” mark.
    NOTE : For a longer life of the appliance it is recommended to use deionized water.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

  1. Make sure the spray button is in the DRY position.
  2. Place the iron in a vertical position and plug the power cord into the outlet. The power indicator light will light up, indicating that the iron is starting to work.
  3. Use the thermostat to adjust the iron temperature according to the type of fabric. The temperature light indicates that the plate is heating up. When the light goes out, it indicates that the required temperature has been reached.
  4. Then set the steam knob to the desired position and start ironing.

CAUTION : Never touch the hot plate during operation. Switch off the appliance after ironing and allow it to cool thoroughly before storing.
IRONING WITHOUT STEAM

  1. For ironing without steam, set the steam control switch to the” ” position. This will stop the steam flow if there is water inside the water tank.
  2. Turn the thermostat to select the desired temperature and place the iron vertically on a flat and stable surface.
  3. When the iron reaches the selected temperature, the indicator light will turn off and you can start ironing.

SPRAY FUNCTION

  1. Make sure there is enough water in the water tank.
  2. Press the spray button to spray water on the fabric and continue ironing.
    NOTE : Do not spray on silk fabrics.

STEAM IRONING

  1. Steam ironing can only be done at higher ironing temperatures: “• • •” or “MAX”.
  2. Make sure there is enough water in the water tank.
  3. Place the iron vertically on a stable surface. Insert the plug into the outlet.
  4. Turn the thermostat to the desired position(“••• ” to “MAX”).
  5. When the iron reaches the selected temperature, the light will turn off and you can start ironing.
  6. Place the steam control knob in the desired position.

CAUTION:

  • Never fill the iron with fabric softener or any other detergents as this may damage the steam mechanism. We recommend using deionized water.
  • Do not aim the iron at yourself or other people when using or adjusting the steam. Burns or serious injury may result.
    NOTE : If the plate temperature is not high enough, the steam function cannot start.

IRONING WITH EXTRA STEAM

  1. Make sure the water tank is at least full of water (up to the MAX mark).
  2. When the temperature is set to steam setting ( • • • or MAX), the extra steam function can be used.
  3. Press the extra steam button and the iron will emit a large amount of steam.

CAUTION:

  • Use the extra steam button only when the iron has reached the steam temperature and the light has gone out.
  • Do not press this button more than 3 times in a row. For optimal performance, allow at least four seconds.

AUTO POWER OFF FUNCTION
The iron has an automatic shut-off function, In case the iron remains stationary:

  • It will automatically turn off after about 30 seconds when in a horizontal position.
  • It will automatically turn off after about 8 minutes when in a vertical position.

VERTICAL IRONING

  1. When the iron temperature is set for steam mode, you can perform vertical ironing mode.
  2. Hold the iron vertically, place a short distance in front of the fabric you want to iron and press the extra steam button.

NOTE : This is especially useful for ironing hanging clothes, curtains, etc.

AUTO CLEAN FUNCTION

  1. The unit needs to be cleaned regularly according to the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
  2. Make sure the plug is disconnected from the outlet.
  3. Set the steam control knob to the “DRY” position.
  4. Fill the water tank up to the “MAX” mark.
  5. Insert the plug into the outlet.
  6. Select the maximum ironing temperature.
  7. Unplug the iron when it reaches the required temperature.
  8. Hold the iron over a sink, set the spray button to the “Self-Clean” position.
  9. Release the “Self-Clean” button once the water in the water tank runs out. & WARNING: Never pour vinegar or other liquid descalers into the water tank.

NOTES:

  • Steam and boiling water will escape from the plate along with the residue.
  • Do not press and hold the auto clean button while ironing.

CLEANING

  1. Before cleaning, disconnect the plug from the outlet, let the appliance cool down completely, and then clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  2. Wash the water tank regularly by filling it with water and emptying it after cleaning it.
  3. Ironing delicate clothes at high temperatures may burn your clothes and leave residue on the unit plate. We suggest ironing an old cloth to clean and remove this residue from the plate.
  4. If using an ironing spray, wipe the plate with a soft, damp cloth to prevent residue build-up.
  5. After the operation is finished, disconnect the plug from the outlet, empty any remaining water from the water tank and store the iron after it has completely cooled down.
  6. Never use wire sponges, abrasives or chemical cleaners or solvents to clean the casing or plate of your appliance, as this will cause scratches and/or damage to the appliance.

STORAGE

  1. Always store the appliance out of reach of children.
  2. Always store the appliance in a safe and clean place. To best protect the appliance, store it in its original packaging.
