Solution A: Mounting the Button with Double-Sided Tape
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface where you plan to mount the button is clean, dry, and flat. This could be near your front door or any other location where visitors are likely to press the doorbell.
- Attach Double-Sided Tape: Remove the protective film from one side of the double-sided tape and attach it to the back of the doorbell button.
- Position the Button: Remove the remaining protective film from the other side of the double-sided tape. Press the doorbell button firmly against the prepared surface for about 30 seconds to ensure it is securely attached.
Solution B: Mounting the Button with Screws and Anchors
- Mark the Drill Points: Hold the back plate of the doorbell button against the wall where you want to install it. Use a pencil to mark the drill points through the holes provided in the back plate.
- Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points, ensuring they are the correct size for the wall anchors.
- Insert Wall Anchors: If you’re mounting the button on drywall or masonry, insert the wall anchors into the drilled holes. For wooden surfaces, you may be able to screw directly into the material without anchors.
- Attach the Back Plate: Line up the back plate over the anchors and screw it into place. Do not over-tighten the screws, as this could damage the back plate or the wall.
- Attach the Button: Once the back plate is secure, attach the doorbell button to the back plate. It should snap into place or slide on, depending on the design.
