Installation Instructions

Preparation

Remove Protective Film

Before you begin, remove any protective film from the device to ensure proper functionality.

Installing the Doorbell

Mounting the Bracket
- Position the mounting bracket on the inside of your door where your existing peephole is located. Align it so that the camera on the bracket fits into the peephole opening.
Inserting the Battery: On the outside part of the door, insert the battery part of the Ring device into the mounting bracket, ensuring the connectors align properly.
QR Code and Setup: Locate the QR code inside the battery compartment. This will be used later to continue the setup in the Ring app.

Securing the Device

Inside Assembly:

On the inside of the door, attach the inside assembly of the Ring device by connecting it to the outside part. Ensure the ‘ring’ logo is facing up.

Unscrewing the Keyhole: Use the provided tool to unscrew the keyhole cover by placing the tool’s flat edge in the slots and turning.
Outside View: The outside part of the device should now be secured to the door with the camera facing outwards.

Final Adjustments

Smoothing Edges: If necessary, use the provided tool to smooth out the hole’s edges on the outside.
Peephole Positioning: Ensure the device is positioned correctly, with the camera peering through the peephole.

Battery and Cable Management

Cap Removal: Remove the cap from the end of the battery cartridge.
View Hole Adapter (Optional): If needed, install the large view hole adapter.
Cable Routing: On the inside, route the cable through the provided space so it doesn’t obstruct the battery compartment or the peephole.
Cable Adjustment: Pull the cable out of the tube until there’s no slack, ensuring a tidy installation.
Secure Cable: Use the cable clips to secure the cable in place inside the door.
Attach Keyhole Cover: Snap the keyhole cover into place on the interior assembly, making sure it’s secure.
Excess Cable: Gently pull any excess cable through the clip to keep it from dangling.
Cable Finalization: Ensure that the cable is not pinched and that it sits comfortably within the clip.
Attach Device Interior: The interior part of the device should now be attached to the door, with the battery compartment accessible.

Finishing Touches

Battery Insertion

Slide the battery pack into the bottom of the Ring device until it clicks into place.

Privacy Cover:

Your Ring Peephole Cam is now installed. Use the peephole cover to slide up for privacy as needed.

App Setup

Continue the setup in the Ring app by scanning the QR code you found in step 4 and following the in-app instructions to connect your device to Wi-Fi and complete the installation.
