- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
- To protect against fire, do not operate the appliance in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near chil-dren, including this Food Chopper. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are provided with supervision and instructions con-cerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the event the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be con-ducted by qualified personnel only.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by the appli-ance manufacturer may cause injuries or damage the product.
- To protect against the risk of electrical shock, never put the cord, plug, or base in water or other liquids.
- Make sure the appliance is cleaned thoroughly before using it.
- Turn the appliance OFF and then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
- Always assemble the appliance completely before plugging it into an elec-trical outlet.
- The appliance will not operate unless properly assembled.
- Always secure the Bowl onto the Base before attaching the blade.
- To enable operation, always ensure the Lid is securely locked in place.
- Make sure the motor has completely stopped before removing the Lid.
- The blades on this appliance are sharp. Never allow fingers, hair, or clothing to come into contact with the blade. Use great care when handling the blade and avoid touching the sharp edges of the blade. Use protective gloves if necessary. Store the blade safely.
- Be careful to prevent the Blade from falling out of the Bowl when emptying the Bowl. Remove it before tilting the Bowl.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.
- Avoid coming into contact with moving parts. Keep hands, spatulas, and other utensils away from moving blade while processing food to prevent the possibility of severe personal injury or damage to the Food Chopper.

- Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes or industrial use.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
Important Cord Information
- This appliance has a polarized electrical plug for the wall socket (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified elec-trician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
- Connect the power supply cord to a 120VAC electrical outlet only.
- A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entan-gled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is properly exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked elec-trical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The extension cord should be installed so that it does not hang over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
- If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your Food Chopper may not function properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.

- When first using your Food Chopper, you may notice an odor coming from the motor. This is normal and will dissipate with use.
WARNING: The blades on this appliance are extremely sharp. Handle carefully.
FOOD PREPARATION
- Do not process food containing hard objects, such as meat containing bones or fruits with large hard stones, which cannot be safely broken up. Remove bones from meat, stones from fruit, etc. Peel, core, and/or remove seeds and pits.
- Food should be cut into small, even pieces. Foods cut into same-sized pieces produce the most even results.
NOTE: This appliance is not suitable for:
- Chopping hard items such as ice cubes or frozen produce.
- Grinding coffee beans or converting granulated sugar to caster sugar.
ASSEMBLY AND USE
-
Make sure the Food Chopper is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
-
Place the Base on a flat, level, stable surface.
-
Place the Bowl onto the Base by aligning the tabs on the Base of the Bowl with the slots on the Base and turning the Bowl clockwise until it locks into place.
-
Carefully place the blade attachment over the center shaft of the bowl. Avoid contact with the sharp blades.
-
Place ingredients into the Bowl.
NOTE: Do not fill the Bowl above the marked ‘1.5-Cup’ level to allow room for processing. -

-
Press the Pulse Button to start processing. To stop, release the Pulse Button.
-
Use the Food Chopper with a pulsing action. The longer the continuous pulse, the finer the texture. For coarsely chopped foods, use short pulses.
NOTE: Do not run the appliance continuously for more than 30 seconds. After chopping continuously for 30 seconds, allow the appliance to rest for at least one minute before resuming. -
Wait until the Blade has completely stopped running before removing the Lid.
-
Unplug the Food Chopper from the electrical outlet when it is not in use or is left unattended.
CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning, make sure to remove the power cord from the power outlet.
Removable Parts (Lid, S-Blade, Bowl)
- To make cleaning easier, rinse the removable parts immediately after use to prevent food particles from drying.
- Hand wash in warm, soapy water using a mild liquid detergent and a non-abrasive sponge. If necessary, use a small nylon bristle brush.
- DO NOT use metal or other abrasive cleaning tools or cleansers on any plas-tic or metal parts. Use only warm soapy water and remove stubborn residue with a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad or nylon brush.
- All removable parts may occasionally be washed in the dishwasher (top rack only with the temperature kept below 140°F/60°C), however, washing in the dishwasher is not recommended on a regular basis, as prolonged exposure to harsh detergents, hot water, and pressure will damage and shorten the life of the plastic and the interlock components.
- Blade is extremely sharp; handle carefully. Always use a spatula or brush to remove food from the blade. If you wash the blade by hand, do so carefully.
- Always allow all parts to dry completely before assembling and using the appliance again.
Base
- Base, Pulse Button, and non-slip rubber feet may be wiped with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
- Wipe any excess food particles from the power cord.
- Stubborn spots can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
CAUTION: Do not immerse the Base or the power cord in water or any other liquid.
Stubborn Food Stains and Odors
- Strong smelling foods such as garlic, fish, and some vegetables such as carrots may leave an odor or stain the Bowl or the Lid. To remove them, make a paste of 1 tablespoon baking soda and 2 tablespoons warm water. Apply the paste to the stains and rub with a soft cloth. Rinse in soapy water and dry thoroughly.
STORAGE
- Store your Food Chopper upright, with the Bowl and Lid resting in position but not locked. Locking the Bowl and Lid can put unnecessary strain on the safety interlock.
- Handle and store the blade carefully. Its cutting edges are very sharp.
- All accessories should be kept in a safe place out of reach of children.
- Protect the appliance, its power cord, and power plug from dust, direct sun-light, dripping, and splashing water.
