Thank you for choosing this Garland machine. We are sure that you will appreciate the quality and performance of this machine, which will facilitate your task for a long period of time. Remember that this machine has the most extensive and expert technical assistance network that you can go to for the maintenance of your machine, troubleshooting and purchase of spare parts and / or accessories.
ATTENTION! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to observe all of the warnings and instructions listed below can result in electric shock, fire, and / or serious injury.
Cut only wood. Do not use the chainsaw for other, unforeseen purposes. For example: do not use the chainsaw to cut plastic materials, bricks, or building materials other than wood. Using the chainsaw for operations other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.

The term “machine” in the warnings refers to this electrical machine with the battery connected. The term switch in the “open” position means switch disconnected and the switch in the “closed” position means switch connected.

SAFETY RULES AND PRECAUTIONS

To avoid mishandling this machine, read all instructions in this manual before using it for the first time. All the information included in this manual is relevant to your personal safety and that of the people, animals and things around you. If you have any
questions regarding the information included in this manual, ask a professional or go to the point of sale where you purchased this machine to resolve it.
2.1. USERS
This machine has been designed to be manipulated by users of legal age and who have read and understood these instructions.
ATTENTION: Do not allow minors to use this machine.
ATTENTION: Do not allow people who do not understand these instructions to use this machine. Before using this machine, familiarize yourself with it, ensuring that you know exactly where all the controls, safety devices are and how they should be used. If you are an inexperienced user, we recommend that you carry out a minimum practice doing simple tasks and, if possible, in the company of an experienced person.
ATTENTION: Only lend this machine to people who are familiar with this type of machine and know how to use it. Always provide the instruction manual together with the machine so that the user can read it carefully and understand it. This machine is dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
2.2. PERSONAL SECURITY
Be alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating this machine.
Keep your free hand away from the cutting area. Never touch the chain links, they are very sharp and can be cut. Always wear protective gloves while pruning.
Do not use this machine when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications. A moment of distraction while operating this machine can cause serious personal injury.
Avoid accidental starting of the machine. Make sure the switch is in the “open” position before connecting the battery, picking up or transporting this machine.
Carrying electrical machines with your finger on the switch or inserting the battery into electrical machines  that have the switch in the “closed” position can putyour safety at risk and cause accidents.
Don’t overdo tit. Keep your feet firmly on the ground and stay balanced at all times. Always maintain proper foot support and operate the scissors only when standing on a fixed, secure and level surface. Sliding or unstable surfaces such as stairs can cause a loss of balance.
Always wear safety gear. Always wear eye protection, safety gloves and non- slip boots.
Keep all parts of your body away from the saw chain when the chainsaw is operating. Before starting the chainsaw, make sure that the saw chain is not in contact with any object. A moment of carelessness while operating chain saws can cause your clothing or other body parts to become entangled in the saw chain or you may be cut by the tool chain.
Use extreme caution when cutting weeds and young shrubs. Fine materials can pinch the saw chain and be thrown at you, or cause you to lose your balance under pulling.
When cutting a branch that is under tension, be alert to the risk of elastic return. When the tension of the wood fibers is released, the branch, under a spring effect, can hit the operator.
When transporting the chainsaw, hold the chainsaw by the handle with the machine switched off and away from body parts. When transporting or storing the chainsaw, always cover the bar with the cap. Proper handling of the chainsaw will reduce the likelihood of accidental contact with the moving saw chain.
2.3. SAFETY OF THE WORK AREA
Keep the work area clean and work in good lighting.
Messy and dark areas cause accidents.
Do not operate this machine in explosive atmospheres as well as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases and dust. Electric machines create sparks that can ignite dust or fumes.
Keep curious and children away while operating this machine. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Make sure that children, people or animals do not enter your work area.
2.4. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Use only Garland batteries for this machine.
Use only the Garland charger to charge Garland batteries. The use of a different battery or charger may cause the battery to explode and risk of fire.
Be sure to connect the charger to an AC power source with a voltage between 100 and 240 Volts and a frequency of 50Hz to 60Hz.
The electrical plug on the charger of this machine must match the base of the power outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way. Unmodified pins and matching bases will reduce the risk of electrical shock.
When using the battery charger, avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, electric ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
Do not expose this machine, charger or battery to rain or wet conditions. The water that enters them will increase the risk of electrical discharge.
Do not abuse the cord. Do not use the cord to carry, lift or unplug the charger. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
Never use this charger with a damaged cord or plug.
Before connecting the charger, check the plug and cable for damage. If you discover any damage, send your machine to a technical service for repair. If the cord is damaged or broken, unplug immediately.

Replacing the plug or power cord should always be done by the manufacturer or its technical support service. It is recommended to connect this charger to a residual differential device whose tripping current is less than or equal to 30mA.
Never use a damaged, non-compliant docking station for this charger.
Disconnect the charger from the power supply when not in use to prevent damage in case of mains overload.
Charge the battery only with the charger supplied with the machine, in a dry place with a temperature between 0º C and 40º C.
Do not attempt to tamper with or open the battery and / or charger.
Do not short circuit the battery and be careful when handling it so as not to accidentally short circuit it with conductive elements such as rings, bracelets, keys, etc. When the battery short-circuits, the temperature rises and can explode or burn.
Do not change the battery charging polarity or reverse connections.
Do not attempt to burn or incinerate the battery even if it is damaged or fully discharged. Do not leave the battery near a heat source. The battery can explode with heat or fire causing serious personal and material damage.
Do not put the battery into the microwave, into the oven or pressurize it.
Do not use the battery in electrostatic environments.
This battery is sealed and no liquid should ever flow out of it. If the seal breaks and the liquid touches your skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water, neutralize the liquid with a weak acid such as lemon or vinegar, and go to your medical center urgently. If battery fluid touches your eyes, flush them thoroughly with water for 10 minutes and immediately seek medical attention. If the seal is damaged do not inhale the vapors produced by the battery as they may cause irritation. In case of accidental inhalation, breathe fresh air and seek urgent medical attention.
Do not use the battery if it is deformed. Always disconnect the battery from the machine before performing any maintenance on the machine. Only handle this machine when it is disconnected
2.5. USE AND CARE OF THIS MACHINE
Only cut wood branches. Do not use this machine for any other purposes not intended. For example: do not use the scissors to cut plastic materials, bricks, metals. The use of the scissors for operations other than those foreseen can cause dangerous situations.
Use this machine, accessories, supplies, etc. in accordance with these instructions and as planned, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be carried out. Using this machine for applications other than those intended may cause a hazardous situation.
The manufacturer will not be liable under any circumstances for damage caused by improper or incorrect use of this machine.
Do not force this machine. Use this machine for the correct application. Using the correct machine for the type of work to be performed will allow you to work better and safer.
Do not use this machine if you cannot use it properly or cannot turn it off because the switch does not change between “closed” and “open”. Any electrical machine that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Keep this machine. Check that moving parts are not misaligned or locked, that there are no broken parts or other conditions that may affect the operation of this machine. Whenever this machine is damaged, repair it before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained machines.
Keep cutting instruments sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting instruments with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and easier to control.
Keep the handles of this machine dry and clean.
Greasy or oiled handles are slippery and cause loss of control over the machine.
Disconnect the battery from the machine before making any adjustments, cleaning or storing this  machine. Such preventive safety measures reducethe risk of starting this machine accidentally.
Follow the instructions regarding greasing, tensioning, and chain changing accessories. A chain with incorrect tension and lubrication can break and increase the risk of kickback.
2.5.1. UNEXPECTED FORCES WHILE WORKING WITH THE CHAINSAW
Always be alert while cutting with the chainsaw and watch for possible unforeseen reaction forces.
The unforeseen reaction forces that occur in a chainsaw are kickback and kickback. These forces can unbalance the user and lead to dangerous situations.
2.5.1.1. REBOUND
The contact of the tip of the bar can in certain cases cause a sudden reverse reaction, propelling the bar up and back towards the operator called REBOUND. A kickback of the chainsaw may occur if an object is touched by the cutting chain in the area of the tip of the bar while it is running. The contact of the chain at the tip of the bar can cause an unforeseen reaction force that can propel the tip of the bar upwards, generating a movement in the rotating chain saw that can cause the chain bar to collide with the user. . This reaction can cause loss of control of the machine and cause severe bodily harm.
2.5.1.2. FORWARD PULL
Kickback can occur when the tip or tip of the bar touches an object, or when the wood closes in and pinches the saw chain in the cutting section. A “Forward Pull” can occur when the chain stops abruptly due to being caught in the cutting area by a foreign body in the wood or because the chain is not being cut properly. The chain, when stopped, pushes the chainsaw forward which, if it is not correctly held against the branch or tree by the claw, produces an unexpected pull that can cause the user to lose control of the chainsaw, cause him to fall forward and produce severe bodily harm.
2.5.1.3. RECOIL
Trapping the saw chain on the top of the bar can quickly push the bar back towards the operator. The chain, when stopped, pushes the chainsaw backwards (Reverse) which, if it is not correctly held against the branch or tree by the claw, produces an unexpected
push that can cause the user to lose control of the chainsaw, cause it to fall backwards and cause severe bodily harm.
Any of these reactions can cause you to lose control of the saw, which can lead to a serious bodily injury.
Do not rely exclusively on the safety devices built into your chainsaw. As a chainsaw user, you should take steps to eliminate the risk of accident or injury when cutting.
These reaction forces result from tool misuse and / or improper operating procedures or conditions and can be avoided by taking the appropriate precautions specified below:

• Hold the saw firmly with your thumb and fingers enclosing the handle of the chainsaw and position your body and arms to allow it to resist unexpected forces. Unexpected forces can be controlled by the operator, if proper precautions are taken. If you experience unexpected force, do not let go of the chainsaw and release the throttle trigger.
• Don’t extend your arm too far. This helps prevent inadvertent arm contact and allows better control of the chainsaw in unforeseen situations.
• Use only replacement bars and chains specified by the manufacturer. Incorrect replacement bars and chains can lead to chain breakage and / or unforeseen forces and injury to the user.
• Follow the instructions regarding sharpening and maintenance of the saw chain. A decrease in the depth gauge level can lead to an increase in unforeseen forces and injury to the user.
• Always be aware of where the tip of the chain bar is.
• Pay attention so that the tip of the bar does not touch any object.
• Do not cut branches with the tip of the bar.
•  Make sure there are no nails or pieces of metal in the cutting area and pay special attention to nails or pieces of iron that may be around the cutting area.
• Also be careful when cutting hardwoods where the chain can snag causing the chain to lock up and kick back.
• Cut only one branch or piece of wood at a time.
• Be extremely cautious when driving the saw chain into a cut already started to continue.
• Do not cut with the chainsaw until you are familiar with the cutting technique.
• Do not cut branches or pieces of wood that may change position during the cut or that may close the cut while it is being made.
• Keep the chain in good condition.
• Only work if the chain is sharp and correctly tensioned.
• Never stand in the cutting plane of the chainsaw.

2.6. SERVICE
Periodically have your machine serviced by a qualified repair service using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of this electric machine is maintained.

5.1. CONDITIONS OF USE
This machine is designed to cut branches and logs. It is recommended to work at temperatures between -5 ºC and 55 ºC, at a humidity lower than 50%.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMMISSIONING

6.1. UNPACKING AND MATERIALS LIST
This machine includes the following items that you will find inside the box:

1. Chainsaw.
2. Sword
3. Chain.
4. Manual.

6.2. MOUNTING
6.2.1 INSTALLING THE BAR AND CHAIN
The chain of the chain saw has very sharp teeth.
Always wear protective gloves to avoid accidentally cutting yourself
Make sure the machine is unplugged before doing any work on this machine.
To install them, follow these steps:

1. Unscrew the bar lock nut (8) until the cover is free

2. Place one end of the chain on top of the bar.

3. At this time, set the chain as shown in the figure because it rotates in the direction of the arrow.
   Before mounting the guide bar with the chain, check the cutting direction of the teeth. The correct position of the chain will have the cutting edges of the teeth in the direction of rotation of the chain:

4. Replace the bar cover (3) making sure that the tensioner screw (15) matches the lower hole of the bar.

5. Screw the bar lock nut (8) back on and tighten the tensioner (15) until the desired tension is achieved.

6.3. BATTERY CHARGE
The supply voltage and current must comply with the indications on the charger’s nameplate.
Before using the battery for the first time, charge it for at least 1 hour.
To charge the battery, plug the charger into the mains,  the led will light up red. Put the battery in the charger,the led will turn green and start blinking. The charger LED will turn from flashing green to green when the battery is fully charged. When the battery is charged, remove it from the charger. If you leave the battery in the charger and it is fully charged, the charger will automatically turn off after 2 hours, the green LED still on.
The charging time of a fully discharged battery is 2,5 hours.
If you insert the battery into the charger and the led starts blinking red, it means that your battery is damaged or that the battery does not correspond to this charger.
Recharge the battery when you notice that the power of your machine decreases. Avoid using the machine until the battery is fully discharged. Grades:
– The battery will require 2 or 3 complete charge discharge cycles to reach its maximum energy storage capacity.
– This battery does not have a memory effect so it is not necessary to fully discharge it before recharging it.
– If you are not going to use the battery for a long period of time, charge it to the maximum, store it in an appropriate place and recharge it every 30 days.
– Follow the advice below to ensure that the charge capacity of your battery is maintained for as long as possible:
– Avoid fully discharging the battery. Battery life will be longer if you recharge the battery when you notice your machine’s power diminishing and don’t let it run out completely.
– Always recharge the battery after using the machine. Do not store the battery discharged or half charged.
– Always recharge the battery inside your home and garage to preserve the battery and charger from humidity and inclement weather.
– Recharge the battery at temperatures between 5º and 40º C.
– Always keep the battery away from water, humid areas, heat sources and chemical products.
6.4. INSTALL THE BATTERY
Install the battery by sliding the battery along the rails until it clicks. This ensures that it will remain securely connected to the machine.
To remove the battery, press the release button and pull out the battery. 6.5. CHECK POINTS BEFORE START-UP
Before starting work, always check that the chainsaw is working correctly and that it is safe to operate.
Check the machine and look for loose parts (bolts, nuts, casings, etc..) and damage. Tighten, repair or replace the parts that you have found to be in poor condition. Make sure there are no oil leaks or leaks. Do not use the machine if it is damaged or incorrectly adjusted.
6.5.1. SAFETY BRAKE CHECK
On kickback, the tip of the chain bar rises sharply, the chainsaw changes angle rapidly so that the user does not have time to change the position of the arm which hits the safety guard and activates the safety brake . The safety brake stops the chainsaw motor in less than 0.15 s.The safety brake can be activated at any time by pushing the safety guard forward. To release the safety brake pull the safety guard back until you hear a “click”.
Be sure to check the safety brake each time you use the machine. To do this, with the chainsaw unplugged, activate the safety brake by pushing the safety guard towards you until you hear a “click”. Holding the chainsaw horizontally about 40 cm from a piece of wood, remove your hand from the front grip and let the machine rotate in your right hand until the nose of the bar touches the wood. If the brake works correctly, the chain should not move when it touches the wood.
Otherwise, the brake will not be acting correctly and you should take the chainsaw to the technical service for its review.
6.5.2. CHAIN OIL
Use only special oil for chainsaw chains. Do not use used or impurity oils as this could damage the machine’s oil pump.
The chain oil must be filled in the chain oil tank (6). To prevent dirt from getting inside the tank, clean the oil tank cap before opening it. Close the oil level plug by tightening it and clean up if oil has spilled out of the reservoir.
Check the contents of the oil tank by looking at the oil level window.
Min.: When only 5 mm approx. oil levels are visible at the lower edge of the oil level.
Max: Filled with oil until the window is full. Note: The service life of chainsaw chains and guide bars is highly dependent on the quality of the lubricant used. Old oil must not be used! Use only environmentally friendly chain lubricant. Store chain lubricant only in containers that comply with regulations.

6.5.4. CHAIN TENSIONING
This machine has a quick and easy manual chain tensioning system, without the use of tools.
Always disconnect the battery from the chainsaw before doing any work on it.
To avoid injury from sharp cutting edges, always wear gloves when mounting, tensioning or checking the chain.
Chain tension:

1. Make sure the chain is inside the guide groove of the guide bar.

2. Loosen the lock nut (8) without removing the cover.

3. Turn the chain tensioner (15) in the (+) direction to tighten or in the (-) direction to slack the chain until the chain tension is correct.a. Example (A) corresponds to a chain that is too tight.
   b. Example (B) corresponds to a chain that is too slack.

4. Hand-tighten the lock nut (8). Do not overtighten the chain.

6.6. STARTING AND STOPPING
Power on the machine: install the battery
Push the chain brake to the operating position.
Press the on/off button ().
Then press the safety button and, without releasing it, press the throttle trigger.
Disconnection of the machine:
Release the throttle trigger, allow the chain to stop rotating and press the on/off button. Then remove the battery if you are not going to use it for a long time.
Do not start and stop the machine repeatedly in a few seconds, you will put heavy work on the engine, generate a lot of heat and decrease the life of your engine and battery. We recommend that each time you stop the machine, wait at least 5 seconds before restarting it.
6.7. CHECK POINTS AFTER START-UP
6.7.1. ANTI-REBOUND PROTECTION VERIFICATION
Chainsaw kickback is the most significant hazard on this machine. This machine has an automatic safety brake to stop the rotation of the chain in the event of an unexpected kickback during use.
To verify the correct operation of the automatic brake:

1.  Start the chainsaw and keep it running
2. Push the parking brake lever forward safety with the left hand.
3. The chain of the chain should stop immediately.

If the chain does not stop or takes time to stop, take the machine to the technical service.
Check the safety brake every time you start to use the machine.
6.5.1.- VERIFICATION OF AUTOMATIC LUBRICATION
After starting the engine, accelerate the chainsaw until the chain rotates at a medium speed and check if the chainsaw oils the chain, for this, it will be worth observing that when placing the chainsaw as in the figure at medium speed, oil is thrown out.

USE OF THE MACHINE

Use this machine only for its intended use. Using this chainsaw for any other use is dangerous and can cause damage to the user and / or the machine.
Cut only wood. Do not use the chainsaw for other, unforeseen purposes. For example: do not use the chainsaw to cut plastic materials, bricks, or building materials other than wood. Using the chainsaw for operations other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.
This chainsaw is not designed for forestry work (felling in forests).
Stay away from the chainsaw chain when the engine is running.
If you slip or lose your balance or fall, release the throttle trigger immediately.
Do not rely solely on the safety features of this machine.
Do not use this machine if you are fatigued, ill, have taken medication, narcotics, or alcohol.
Do not expose this machine to rain or wet conditions. Water entering this machine will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not use this machine at night, in fog, or with reduced visibility that makes it difficult to see the work area.
Lack of rest and fatigue can lead to accidents or damage.
Limit the time of continuous use of this machine to 10 minutes and rest between 10 and 20 minutes between each session.
Never leave this machine unattended. Do not allow anyone to enter the work area. This work perimeter must be 15 meters and it is a dangerous area.
Holding the machine firmly by the handle will reduce the risk of kickback and increase your control over the machine. Never use the chainsaw when you are on a ladder, in a tree, or any other unstable location.
Be careful when cutting thin branches or bushes. Thin branches can catch on the chain and be suddenly thrown off hitting you and knocking you off balance.
If you are cutting a branch that is in tension, be aware of the possible rebound of the branch when making the cut. Check the condition of the tree to prevent dry branches from falling and hitting you while you are cutting.
Clean the work area and remove all obstacles that could cause accidents. While cutting, do not let the tip of the chainsaw touch any log or obstacle. Removethe chainsaw from the wood with the chain still running. When cutting, always rest the claw of the chainsaw on the log.
Pay extra attention when cutting wood that splinters.
Splinters can be thrown in any direction. There is risk of injury.
Never stand on the branch you are cutting.
Always keep the chain sharp. Sharpen it as explained in this manual.
If you make multiple cuts without letting go of the machine, always turn the chainsaw off between cuts.
Do not cut with the tip of the bar. There is a high risk of rebound in thecuts with the tip of the bar so they should never be made.
Always set the machine on a flat and stable surface.
Do not use accessories in this machine except those recommended by our company, as their use could cause severe damage to the user, to people near the machine and to the machine itself.
Never drop the machine and never try to stop the chain by approaching a wood or obstacle.
7.1. MACHINE HOLDING AND GUIDING
While working always hold the chainsaw firmly with your hand on the handle.
7.2. SHARPENING THE CHAIN
The chainsaw chain dulls as cuts are made. If you observe any of the following symptoms it is time to sharpen the chain:
– More effort is needed to make the cut.
– The cutting path is not straight.
– Vibrations increase.
– When cutting, sawdust is produced instead of chips.
To sharpen the chain, follow the instructions in point 8.2. ”Sharpening the chain”.
7.3. CUTTING WITH THE CHAINSAW
It is recommended that you practice with small branches in a position that makes it easy to acquire experience before tackling more complicated cuts.
Always follow the safety rules given in this manual.
Use this machine only for cutting wood. It is forbidden to cut any material.
Do not use the machine to move objects.
Use the machine gently while cutting. Only use a slight downward pressure while maintaining the machine at full power. The own weight of the machine will be enough to make the cut.
If the chain blocks, do not attempt to pull the chainsaw while it is running. Stop the chainsaw by setting the switch to “O” and use a wedge to release the chainsaw.
7.3.1 FELLING A TREE
Felling a tree is dangerous because of the risk of the tree or any of its branches falling on the user.
Before tackling the task, follow these steps:

1. Decide the direction the tree will fall (A). Note the inclination of the tree, the length of its branches and remember that they may change direction in the fall.

2. Make sure there are no other trees, branches or obstacles that may hit the tree as it falls.

3. Check which will be the final position of the tree to be cut.

4. Clear the area around the drop zone, make sure that  you can work in a stable position and set an easy getaway that allows you torun away in case the tree does not fall in the expected direction. The safety distance must be at least twice the height of the tree.

5. Perform an initial limbing. Start with the lower branches that may make it difficult to work. Remember that you should not cut branches that over shoulder height.

6. To guide the fall of the tree make a cut Guide (B). To make this guiding cut, cut at a 60 degree angle up to the width of the tree (¼ d) quarter by the side of the direction in which want tree to fall (E) and then a cut of 35° that reaches until the end of the cutting 60° so that you get a discharge at 90° as shown in the following figure.
   Recommendation: Before moving on to the next stage, fill in fuel and oil deposits of the saw to avoid the machine stopping unexpectedly in the following operations:

7. Start a horizontal cut (C) on the opposite side, 3 cm above the inside of the cutting angle Guide (B).

8. When you have cut a ¼ of the tree’s diameter, stop cutting and insert a wedge at the beginning of the cut to prevent axle tilt in the opposite desired direction, the cut is closed and the chainsaw rod is pinched.

9. Continue cutting (C) until you reach about 3 cm of the cutting Guide. We will never cut to the guide cut in order to leave a bit of wood that will take the role of a hinge and will lead to the fall of the tree in the right direction.

10. The tree will fall in the “E” direction.

If the tree does not fall, force the fall by introducing more wedge into the tree.
In the moment that the tree begins to fall, move away in a sideways and backwards direction with regard to the direction of the fall of the tree until it is at a safe  distance (distance greater than the height of the treebeing cut).
It is essential to move away from the tree falling because at moment the tree starts to hit the ground, free flying branches (or parts of them) are split backwards and sideways and hit or cut the user.
When you are going to bring a tree down always notify all persons who are around before starting and again just before the end of the horizontal cut and the tree starts to fall.
Always be sure to be in a stable position and never lean against the tree that is about to fall.
If you work on a slope stay at the top to prevent the falling of the tree rolling toward you and hitting you.
Follow all of the “safety and precaution rules” to prevent possible bouncing of the chainsaw.
7.4. CUTTING A TRUNK PLACED ON THE GROUND
When a trunk is fully supported on the ground, cut the first half of the trunk from above, then turn it halfway around and cut the rest.
If the trunk is supported at the sides (see next diagram) you must make a cut through the top half (1) and then cut the rest from the bottom (2).
By doing it this way, you will avoid the internal tension of the trunk closing the cut, thus blocking the chainsaw´s chain and rod.If you are going to make a cut in a log supported on one end (diagram below) you shall proceed in reverse.
First cut the half of the trunk from below (1) and then finish the cut from the top (2). 7.5. CUTTING THE BRANCHES OF A FELLED TREE
It is important to verify that the branches are not folded and/or tensed. If the branch to be cut is folded or tensed, it could fly out at you when being cut.To cut a branch, in this case, cut the branch a ¼ of the total of the branch on the side in which the branch is subject to compression, and then cut the rest of the branch from the side that is subjected to traction (follows). In this way it will prevent branch tension to close cutting and block the chainsaw rod and chain.
7.6. CUTTING A TREE BRANCH To cut a branch from a tree which does not touch the ground, always start with a quarter the diameter of the branch cut from below (1) and then cut the rest from above (2).
This way you will facilitate the opening of cutting and  splitting the branch without damaging the tree.
7.3.5. BRANCH CUTTING OR SMALL TRUNK CUTTING
When cutting branches or small trunks use a strong support such as an easel.
Never hold the trunk by using your feet or asking someone else to hold the wood for you.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

The removal of security mechanisms, an inappropriate maintenance, the substitution of the bar and chain with non original spares could cause severe corporal damages.
Always carry out maintenance work with the machine unplugged from the mains.
Carry out the following maintenance checks prior to working as well as when finishing your job to ensure the good functioning of this machine in the future.
8.1. CHAIN OIL OUTPUT Disassemble the bar and check that the lubrication hole indicated in the image is not clogged.
8.2. SHARPNESS OF CHAIN TEETH
Attention!: An incorrectly sharpened chain increases the risk of kick back as well as increasing the vibration level and possible accidents!
To ensure that the machine cuts correctly, maintain the chain sharpened. You must also sharpen the chain if:

• You must place more pressure to cut.
• The cut is not straight.
• There is an increase of the vibration levels.
• When cutting instead of splinters you see shavings.

Do not forget to always use security gloves when sharpening the chain. Make sure the chain is placed correctly once it has been sharpened.
Use a special file for chainsaws when sharpening the chain.
Place the file between points (A) and (B) and push the file forward maintaining a 30 angle.File all the teeth of the chain in the same manner, filing forward at a 30 angle.
Check the security height (C), this height must be some 0.6mm approximately. A height (C) larger than 0.6mm will cause the chain to bite the wood and will require a higher work rate from the engine and a lower height will mean that the chain will cut badly.
Verify the length of the cutting teeth. All teeth must have the same length. If necessary file the teeth until all of them have the same length.
8.3. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Do periodic maintenance inspections on the machine to guarantee an efficient use of the machine.
For a complete check up, we highly recommend that you take the machine to your after sales service.
Maintain the machine clean, specially the ventilating areas of the engine.
Before carrying out any maintenance work, make sure that the machine is not switched to the mains.
Always use original spare parts so as to guarantee the best possible performance of the machine and so as to avoid dangers and risks to the user and the machine. These spare parts should be bought at the after sales service.
The use of non original spare parts can cause accidents, personal damage to the user and breakage of the machine.
8.3.1. MAINTENANCE OF THE BAR Turn the bar regularly so that it does not only wear out from one end. The guide of the bar must always be in perfect conditions.
Verify that it maintains the same thickness in all the bar. Replace the bar if necessary.
Check that there no fissures and tha the level of looseness is not big. If looseness is big or it has some fissure, change the bar.
When you unmount the bar, remove any wood  splinters or shavings near the lubrication hole and onthe guide of the bar. 8.3.2. PINION DRAG
The pinion has a high level of wear. Check the pinion periodically and if you detect wear or loss of material, do not hesitate to take the machine to your after sales service.

Depending on the symptons that you may observe, you will be able to know the probable cause of the problem and how to solve the problem.

TRANSPORT

Before transporting this machine, disconnect always the battery of the machine.
Hold the machine by the handle and the battery extracted.
Always transport the machine with the bar cover installed.

STORAGE

Store this tool in a place not accessible to children and safe so that it does not endanger any person, in a safe, dry, clean place and at a temperature between5º C and 40º C.
Always store the chainsaw with the sword covered with its protective cap.
Unplug the battery from the machine before storing it and, to prevent damage to the battery, always charge it to the maximum. If you are not going to use the machine for a long period of time, recharge the battery every 30 days. Never store the discharged battery.
Store batteries away from metal materials such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal materials that may accidentally make connections between the terminals and short out.
Short circuit to battery
it can cause the battery to explode or burn.
The battery will discharge more slowly at low temperatures.
If you are going to store the machine in a closed place, empty the oil from the tank since the vapors could come in contact with a hot flame or body and ignite.
If you are storing the machine for a long period of time, empty the oil in the tank, clean all parts of the machine and store the machine in a safe and dry place.

RECYCLING OR DISPOSAL OF YOUR MACHINE

The battery of this machine contains elements dangerous to health and the environment and must be recycled appropriately. Do not throw the battery in the trash, take it to an official collection point. waste.
