Auto Power OFF:
This instrument will automatically power off if there is no button pressing
for 5 minutes. This design is to save battery power consumption.
Care and Maintenance:
When the instrument is not in use, store it in a stable, dust-free environment
out of direct sunlight. Remove the battery from the instrument if it is to be
stored for periods of more than one month or when the low battery power symbol
appears on the display.
Battery Replacement:
When the low battery icon appears on the display, replace the battery as soon
as possible.
- Remove the rear battery compartment cover.
- Replace with 3*AAA batteries.
- Cover the compartment door.
Product Usage
Softwood/Hardwood Mode:
To measure moisture in softwood or hardwood:
- Select the appropriate mode (Softwood Mode or Hardwood Mode) using the Mode select Key.
- Remove the protective cap from the measurement pins.
- Press the Power On/Off Key to turn on the Moisture Meter.
- Insert the measurement pins into the wood species to be tested.
- Read the moisture measurement displayed on the Measurement Reading Display.
- If necessary, press the Reading Hold Key to freeze the measurement.
- After use, cover the measurement pins with the protective cap and turn off the Moisture Meter using the Power On/Off Key.
Packing Mode:
To test moisture of cardboard, carton, paper, or other packing materials:
- Select the Packing Mode using the Mode select Key.
- Remove the protective cap from the measurement pins.
- Press the Power On/Off Key to turn on the Moisture Meter.
- Place the measurement pins on the surface of the packing material to be tested.
- Read the moisture measurement displayed on the Measurement Reading Display.
- If necessary, press the Reading Hold Key to freeze the measurement.
- After use, cover the measurement pins with the protective cap and turn off the Moisture Meter using the Power On/Off Key.
Building Mode:
To test moisture of sheetrock, wallboard, or other building materials:
- Select the Building Mode using the Mode select Key.
- Remove the protective cap from the measurement pins.
- Press the Power On/Off Key to turn on the Moisture Meter.
- Place the measurement pins on the surface of the building material to be tested.
- Read the moisture measurement displayed on the Measurement Reading Display.
- If necessary, press the Reading Hold Key to freeze the measurement
- After use, cover the measurement pins with the protective cap and turn off the Moisture Meter using the Power On/Off Key.

Operation
Caution:
The electrode measurement pins are extremely sharp. Users should take care
when handling this instrument. Cover the pins with the protective cap when the
instrument is not in use.
Measurement Instructions
- Remove the cap to expose the needle electrodes.
- Power ON the Instrument.
- Select the appropriate wood calibration scale softwood/hardwood using “MODE” button.
- Or Press “MODE” key to Choose Packing Mode or Building Mode. Packing mode is used for testing Cardboard/Carton or other packing materials. Building mode is used for testing Sheetrock/Wall Board/Floor or other building materials.
- Push the needle pins into the material and observe the reading.
- Power OFF the instrument.
