Introduction

pushbike! Affenzahn has been synonymous with sustainable and innovative
products since its inception. We support children in their daily lives and
convey to them values that are enormously important for their development and
growth. Our pushbike is designed to further this philosophy. Typical
Affenzahn: The wide wheelbase, ergonomically shaped frame, child-friendly
design and light weight of the frame make the pushbike child’s play. Why is
the frame so light? Unlike most other pushbikes, it’s made of plastic (PA/GF).
Thanks to the injection molding process, the frame has the same stability
throughout. A pushbike opens up new worlds. Feel the wind around your ears,
and experience a new sense of freedom and adventure. That’s exactly what it
should feel like. But it also means change for parents. Of course, every step
toward greater independence is associated with letting go. So it’s good to be

PLEASE NOTE
- WARNING! Use protective equipment. Not for use in road traffic.
- Maximum load-bearing capacity: 30 kg.
- Exercise caution when using the pushbike. Always supervise the child when using the pushbike and make them aware of possible dangers. It requires skill to avoid falls or collisions, which could result in injury to the user (child), other persons, or damage to the pushbike. Please also bear in mind that unforeseeable situations and hazards can occur due to children’s temperament and natural need for movement. These situations and hazards exclude any responsibility on the part of the manufacturer.

ADJUSTING THE BALANCE BIKE
- The recommended height for the pushbike is 85 – 110 cm. Adjust the pushbike to fit your child’s height.
- The saddle height is adjusted by opening the saddle clamp screw with an Allen key / Allen wrench. (Figure 6) The saddle height is correctly adjusted when the child is sitting on the saddle and their soles are resting on the ground with their legs slightly bent. Minimum leg length 30 cm.
- Note the minimum insertion depth marking on the Seatpost (min. 47.5 mm). Never place the saddle above the maximum upper limit as this may result in breakage. Finally, the screw of the saddle clamp must be re-tightened (torque, 5 – 8 N m).
MAINTENANCE
- Regularly check that the pushbike is fit to ride. Regularly check the screws and assembled parts and retighten them if necessary. In order to maintain the high level of safety specified by the design, worn or defective parts must be replaced immediately with original spare parts. For safety reasons, the pushbike must not be used until it has been repaired.
- Do not straighten bent parts, but replace them instead. Please check the tire pressure regularly (the air pressure to be maintained is on the side surfaces of the tires).
- Wear parts: tires (incl. inner tubes), handles.
CARE
The pushbike must not be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. Clean the pushbike with commercially available (household) cleaning agents and then carefully wipe it with a soft cloth. Keep corrosion-promoting materials (salt, seawater, fertilizer) and aggressive agents (strong acids, bases, and brake cleaners or liquids containing solvents) away from the pushbike. The pushbike must not be stored in damp areas. CE MARKING The product complies with the European Directive 2009 / 48 / EC on the safety of toys and thus bears the CE mark
SCOPE OF DELIVERY
1 Balance bike
2 Handlebar
3 Instruction manual (polybag)
ASSEMBLY
- Do not use sharp objects to open the packaging or remove protective material. They could accidentally damage the paintwork or parts of the pushbike. Keep packaging material away from children! (Risk of suffocation and choking).
- Remove all parts from the packaging.
- Remove the protective material.
- Check that the delivery is intact and complete. If anything is missing, please contact your specialist dealer or our hotline before starting any further work.
- You will need the following tools for assembly: Allen key / Allen wrench 5 mm + Allen key / Allen wrench 4 mm
An adult must assemble the pushbike very carefully so that accidents or injuries do not result later. Take enough time for the assembly. If you are unsure, please contact your specialist dealer or a bicycle workshop. In some places, it is necessary to tighten bolts with a certain tightening force/torque. This torque is expressed in Newton meters (N m). If a screw is tightened with insufficient torque, the connection may be too loose and not secure. If the torque is too great, screws and other parts can be damaged and destroyed. Before operating, make sure that all parts are correctly assembled and tightened. So please:
- Check all screws.
- Check the seat and handlebar for secure fit and maximum extension.
- Check the saddle clamp and the front fork for tightness and tighten using the Allen key provided
ASSMBLY
Steering limiter
Align the front wheel in the direction of travel. The fork must be aligned so
that it points forward and a long wheelbase is created. The screw for the
steering angle limiter must point to the rear. Attach the steering angle
limiter (Figure 1).
Installing the handlebar
The handlebar must be installed on the pushbike (Figure 2). Unscrew the face
plate (head plate) of the stem (Figures 3 and 4). Insert the handlebar into
the stem so that the ends of the handlebar are facing up and slightly backward
and the handlebar is positioned exactly in the middle. Tighten the screws of
the stem faceplate (head plate) crosswise to 5 – 8 Nm (Figure 5).
Adjusting the saddle height
Loosen the saddle clamp and then tighten it again. Observe a minimum insertion
depth of 47.5 mm (Figure 6).
