User Guide
How to submit a postal application
If you are a frequent traveler and your fingerprints have been taken by a Schengen-State-Mission within the last 59 months, you can submit all your application documents as per the following step (Only for Schengen Visa).
Complete your application documents, including:
1.1 Completed, signed and dated visa application form
1.2 Dated and signed information forms
1.3 Two biometric passport-sized photographs
1.4 Original passport
1.5 Photocopy of the passport (personal data page)
1.6 Photocopies of previous Schengen visa/s and previous passport/s
1.7 Change name and/or surname certificate, if applicable
1.8 All remaining supporting documents according to the visa type you apply
for

Please note that when booking an appointment, the pre-payment of the VFS
Service Fee is mandatory. The system will automatically ask you to pay the VFS
Service Fee (THB 727). In case you wish to not select the mandatory Courier
Fee at this point, the Courier Fee (THB 233) will have to be transferred
together with the Visa Fee.
Example:**
- In case you wish to choose the Courier Service at the point of booking the appointment, the VFS Service Fee (THB 727) + Courier Fee (THB 233) will be charged during the booking process.
- In case you wish to only pay the VFS Service Fee (THB 727) at the time of booking an appointment, the total amount to be transferred to the bank account is the following: Visa Fee + Courier Fee (THB 233) and additional chosen services.
Prepare your courier, including:
3.1 All completed application documents according to the visa checklist of
your visa type
3.2 Payment confirmation of your visa fees (THB 3,050 / THB 1,525 for 6 – 11
Years old)
3.3 Appointment confirmation including the payment confirmation of VFS Global
service fees,
VFS Global service fees THB 727
Courier Service Fee THB 233
SMS Notification Fee THB 63 (Optional)
Payment instructions for postal applications:
Please prepare a bank transfer covering all mentioned fees/charges.

Kindly note: We will not accept personal or company cheque. cash is not accepted too. Please do not insert cash into the envelope. Only a bank transfer to the above-mentioned bank account will be accepted as payment.

Postal applications can only be processed on the date of your appointment. Please refrain from sending us the postal application before the date of your appointment.
Pre-check of application documents by VFS Global:
We will be able to process your application to the Embassy of Germany in
Bangkok if the following mandatory requirements are provided:
5.1 Passport with two blank pages, not torn or creased, valid for at least 6
months, not older than 10 years
5.2 Completed, dated and signed visa application form
5.3 Proof of payments
5.4 Photographs
If these are not provided along with the supporting documents, we will inform you by mail or by call. If the documents are not provided within 5 working days, we will return the package to you and the fees will be forfeited.
Return of passport:
After the German Embassy has decided on the visa (issuance or refusal), the Embassy will return a sealed envelope to VFS containing your passport. Once received, VFS will immediately forward the envelope to you via courier by Thai Post only. Tracking number will be provided on request via e-mail to [email protected].
