WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR TOOL
Observe all the relevant warnings when using your dethatcher.
- To lock after a lawn properly, you need to do more than just mow it once a week throughout the Summer. The lawn will benefit from a vigorous dethatching of the grass to remove the dead matter, moss, and weeds that disfigure a lawn.
- The build-up of dead grass provides a mat of absorbent fibers which prevents water getting through to the ground.
- Do not force your dethatcher through grass that is too long. It is recommended that your dethatcher should not be in grass that is longer than 75mm.
- Do not use it in damp conditions.
- To obtain the best results, use the dethatcher at the beginning and end of each grass-cutting season.
MAINTENANCE
- Disconnect from the main electric supply.
- Do not use an extension cable that shows signs of damage. Fit a new cable completely – do not make any permanent or temporary repairs
- Always keep your unit clean and free from grass cuttings, especially the underside of the cutter deck and the air vents. Check all electrical cables at regular intervals, looking for signs of wear, abrasion, or other damage.
- Remove the debris stuck to the bottom of the machine each time you finish operating it. Clean all plastic components with a damp cloth.
- WARNING: Do not use solvents or cleaning fluids as these may damage the plastic component of your unit.
- Store in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children. Do not place other objects on the product.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
