Initial Setup

Remove both the left and right earphones from the charging case and peel off the insulation plastic strips which are initially attached to the metal contact at the back of the earphones.

Power/Charging

• Charging the charging case:
  Connect the accessory USB charging cable(C) connector to the USB port on the charging case and connect the USB(A) connector to an electrical appliance or adapter with the same shape of connector and the internal battery within the charging case will begin to charge. While charging, the LED indicator light of the charging case will flash/lights up in a different color depending on the battery power level of the charging case as shown in the table below .

• Charging the earphones:
  Insert the earphone units into the charging case and close the charging case, the earphone units will start charging. Once the charging case is closed, the LED indicator light of the charging case will light up in a different color depending on the battery power level of the charging case as shown in the table below.

• Turning ON the Earphones
  After charging, open the charging case and the power of the earphones will automatically switch ON. When the LED indicator of the earphones lights up red for 3 seconds, the power is ON. (When the earphones are fully charged, the LED indicator of the earphones lights up green for 1 second then turns into red for 3 seconds)
  When the charging case is opened, the LED indicator light of the charging case will light up in a different color depending on the battery power level of the charging case as shown in the table below.
  When the power is OFF, tap the touch control panel once and the power will turn ON.

• Turning OFF the Earphones
  When the charging case is adequately charged, returning the earphones to the charging case and closing the charging case will automatically switch the power OFF and charging will begin. The LED indicator light of the charging case will light up in a different color depending on the power level of the battery as shown in the table below.
  Touch and hold the touch control panel for about 3 seconds until two types of beep sound emanate, and the power will switch OFF.

• Performing Device Pairing
  To connect to your smartphone or other devices initially, ii is necessary to perform pairing. For devices which have already completed pairing, a connection will automatically be established the next time the power is switched ON.

  • The first time the earphones are used:
  1. Open the charging case, the LED indicator on the earphones will light up in red for 3 seconds and the power will automatically switch ON. Then, they will automatically switch to the pairing mode with the LED indicator on one of the earphones flashes between green and red.
  2. Switch the Bluetoolh function on the smartphone or other devices ON and select [COTSUBU Patra BK] once it appears on the display.When [COTSUBU Patra BK Connected]• appears on the display of the device being connected, pairing has been completed.
     The content displayed differs depending on the user interface of the smartphones or other devices.
  • To reestablish pairing or to perform pairing with second or subsequent devices:
  1. Please disconnect the device to which the earbuds are already paired or switch OFF the Bluetooth function on that device. Then the earbuds will enter pairing mode with one of the earbuds’ LED Indicator flashing alternately between Orange and White.
  2. Switch the Bluetooth function on the smartphone or other devices ON and perform the pairing.

Operation of Touch Control Panel

1. The playback will switch to the previous song if performed at the beginning of the song. If the operation is performed during the middle of a song, it will restart from the beginning of the same song. To go back to the previous song during the middle of a song, the operation needs to be performed twice in succession.
2. The functionality may not work depending on the connected device.
3. Only works when both the Land R are connected to the playback device. During the playback, music and call audio will be muted.

Voice Guidance

• While having the earbuds removed from the charging case, you can switch the voice guidance by tapping the touch control panel on either earbud 4 times. After turning off the power and using them again, the voice guidance that was active previously will be automatically enabled.
• When the earbuds are performed with factory reset, the voice guidance will also be reset to the default Variation 1.

About Secret Dialogue

There are 3 Secret Dialogues embedded in the earphones. While. having the earphones connected to a device, tap and hold the touch control panel on both the left and right earbuds simultaneously will play one of the 3 voices at random.

• During the playback, music and call audio will be muted.

About ASMR Mode
This mode is designed to allow for a more immersive experience in the world of ASMA. When ASMA Mode is activated, other touch operations except the ‘Switch between ASMA/ Normal Mode’ are disabled. There will be no sound notifications for low battery or power off, and the LED indicator on the earbud will neither light up nor blink. In order to switch between ‘ASMA Mode’ and ‘Normal Mode’, while having the earbuds removed from the charging case, tap the touch control panel on either earbud 5 times.

• When the power is turned off while in ASMA Mode, the earbuds will automatically switch to Normal Mode upon the next startup.
• During ASMA Mode, touch control panel is disabled, so you cannot answer calls using the earbuds. To operate from the earbuds, tap 5 times to switch to Normal Mode, or answer calls directly from your smartphone.

Factory Reset Method
When pairing has not been successfully completed or unexpected error has occurred, please perform the factory reset by the following procedures stated below. Once the factory reset is completed, please attempt another pairing operation.

1. Insert the left and right earphones into an adequately charged charging case then touch and hold the touch control panel on both sides simultaneously for 10 or more seconds. When the LED indicator of both sides light up in green, release the fingers off from the touch control panel.
2. After a certain amount of time, the earphones will automatically switch to the pairing mode with the smartphone or other devices with the LED indicator on one of the earphones flashes between green and red. In this situation, the factory reset has been completed.
3. When the factory reset is completed, the earphones will be in the factory default state with all previous pairing information with the smartphone or other devices deleted and the voice guidance will also be reset to the default Variation 1. Please perform pairing again with the smartphone or other devices after removing the previous pairing record on the smartphone or other devices.

• Do not use other than the supplied USB cable. Doing so may cause rupture, battery leakage, or overheat and consequently result in fire, burn mark, or injury.
• Do not put it in a fire. Doing so may cause leakage or rupture and consequently result in injury or burn mark.
• Do not disassemble the product. Doing so may cause product malfunctions.
• Do not connect to a fast charging power adapter with a maximum power output exceeding 20W per port.
• Doing so may cause rupture, battery leakage, or overheat and consequently result in fire, burn mark, or injury.
• Do not charge the battery when the charging case or USB cable is wet.
• Doing so may cause abnormal heating or malfunction due to short circuit.
• If you find that liquid is leaking from the earbuds or charging case, or if there is an unusual odor or overheat, do not touch the liquid and stop using the earbuds immediately. Besides that, move all combustible materials nearby away from the earbuds or charging case.

WARNINGS

• Do not use the product while driving a car, motorcycle, bicycle, etc.
• Doing so may cause a traffic accident.
• Do not use the product in locations where it is dangerous to not be able to hear surrounding sounds, such as at railroad crossings, pedestrian crossings, or train platforms. Increasing the volume of the earbuds can make it difficult to hear sounds from the surrounding environment.
• Additionally, this device is equipped with noise cancellation, which can make it difficult to hear warning sounds, potentially leading to accidents or injuries.

CAUTION May cause injury or damage to surrounding property.

• Keep out of reach of children or persons requiring supervision. The product uses magnets and batteries. Swallowing small parts may cause serious symptoms such as choking hazard or internal organ damage.
• Do not use in medical institutions or around people using medical equipment.
• It may cause malfuntion to medical devices such as pacemakers.
• When using the earphones on board an aircraft, follow the instructions of the flight crew. Radio wave effects may cause an accident.
• Ear tips must be securely attached.
• If the ear tips are not securely attached, they may come off and remain in the ear canal during use.
• Do not listen at high volume for long periods of time.
• Prolonged use at excessive volume may result in permanent hearing loss. Do not exceed 40 hours/week at 80 dB (A) and 5 hours/week at 89 dB (A).

About the Ear Tips
When bass is difficult to hear and high range sound jars the ear, there is a possibility that the ear tip fit is not appropriate. In order to enjoy music in accordance with the design of the earphone, it is important that the ear tip fits properly and there is a means of sealing the ear canal. In order to achieve the proper fit, please try the following methods:

• If there is any fitting discomfort with the default ear tips, please try with S or SS ear tips.
• Some users might have different ear canal sizes for the left and right ears. To achieve perfect fitting on both ears, please also try pairing ear tips with different sizes for left and right.

Maintenance
Gently remove any build-up from the mesh filter with the tip of a toothpick. Please take care to ensure that no foreign particles fall inside when doing so.

Warranty and After Service

The warranty for this product is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, we will repair the product based on the provisions below. The warranty is only valid in the country in which the product was purchased. Please contact the store you purchased the product from regarding questions pertaining to repairs.

1. During the warranty period, we will repair the product free of charge if the product failed even though it was used in accordance with the instructions in the user’s manual and the point of caution sections.

7. Repair of scratches on the surface of the housing or repair of the housing itself.

Disposal Regulation
The rechargeable batteries built into the equipment are recyclable. During disposal, please follow the instructions from your local municipal government and do not attempt to disassemble the product.
