After successfully adding the devices, click into the device page. Then click the edit icon in the top right corner and rename the device with an easy-to-understand English name, e.g., “bedroom light”.

Configure Amazon Echo and Enable Tuya Smart Skill
To configure Amazon Echo and enable Tuya Smart Skill, follow these steps:

Use Alexa APP to configure Amazon Echo

1. Open the Alexa App.
2. Click on the “more” icon.
3. Select “Add a Device” from the menu.
4. In the setup page, choose “Amazon Echo” from the list of all devices.
5. Choose the specific Echo device you have and click “CONTINUE” to configure it.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen to connect your Echo device to the internet.

Requirements

Requirements:

Operation Procedure

1. Open your Alexa App

2. Sign into your Alexa APP account

3. Firstly click the icon “more”, then click the link “Add a Device”.
   In the “SETUP” page, choose Amazon Echo in the list of all devices.

4. Choose the Echo device you have, and then click “CONTINUE” button to configure your Echo device

5. When you see the following page, press and hold the round button on your Echo device until its light turns to orange color.
   Click the “CONTINUE” button, and let your phone connect to Echo’s hot spot.
   Then click the button “CONTINUE.”

6. Choose a Wi-Fi network to enable your Echo device to access the internet. Type in your Wi-Fi password (if any) and click “CONNECT”.
   It may take a few minutes for your Echo device to connect to the internet.

7. After your Echo has connected to the Internet successfully, click the button “CONTINUE”. It’ll prompt an introduction video of Echo.
   Click “Next” and jump to Alex homepage after the video has finished playing.
   Your Echo device has now successfully configured.

Add Tuya Account to Alexa

1. In the menu, click “Skills & Games” and then search for “Tuya Smart”. Click “Tuya Smart” in the search result and enable the skill.
2. In the prompt page, type in your Tuya Smart account and password, choose the country your account belongs to, and then click “Link Now” button to link your Tuya account to the Echo device.
   • If it prompts “Smart Life has been successfully linked”, your accounts are linked successfully. Then close the prompt page and get back to the Alexa App.
3. Use a verification code to link accounts. Open Tuya APP and click “me-more Services-Alexa” and follow the prompts and steps to link the accounts.

Use Echo to Control Your Smart Device

Discover Your Devices

• Before Echo can control any of your smart devices, it needs to discover the devices first.
• If the “Skills & Games” was configured successfully per instructions provided earlier, the “Discover Devices” page should show up automatically.
• To Discover your devices that were added to Tuya Smart APP, either click “Discover Devices” or speak to Echo “Alexa, discover devices”.

Echo will respond within about 20 seconds with the list of devices discovered.

Note : “DISCOVER DEVICES” can only find the devices that were already added into Tuya Smart App. It may not be used to discover and add new devices.

Note : Any time the Device name is changed in Tuya Smart App, Echo needs to re-discover the devices before it can control them.

Use Voice to Control Your Smart Devices
Now you my use Echo to control your smart devices.

E. g., use following voice instructions to control the device “bedroom light”:

• Alexa, turn on bedroom light.
• Alexa, turn off bedroom light.
• Alexa, brighten/dim bedroom light.
• Alexa, dim bedroom light.
• Alexa, set bedroom light to green.
• Alexa, set bedroom light to warm white.
• Alexa, set air conditioner to 24℃.
