Product Usage Instructions

Fitting

  • Before fitting the battery, check its voltage using a voltmeter.
The voltage should be between 13V to 14V. If it falls within this range, you can proceed with fitting the battery.

  • Make sure the motorcycle is turned off before fitting the battery. Always follow the motorcycle manufacturer’s directions for fitting.

  • Connect the positive and negative leads correctly. If needed, use a spacer or stick form to ensure the best possible fit.

Application

  • The 12V 4AH Motorcycle Battery is suitable for use in motorcycles, ATVs, scooters, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, and lawnmowers. It can replace a 12V lead-acid battery with a capacity under 16AH.

Charging

  • The battery can be charged while the motorcycle is running or using a charger during regular maintenance or repair.
  • Both the motorcycle and the charger should limit the charging voltage to 14.6V. Charging the battery with a voltage lower than 14.0V will not fully charge it, while exceeding 14.6V can damage the battery.
  • When using a charger, ensure it is compatible with lithium batteries. Always remove the battery from the motorcycle before charging separately.
  • Charge the battery with a current lower than the MAX Charging Current specified in the instructions.
  • If the voltage is less than 12.8 volts after charging, additional charging is necessary to fully charge the battery.
  • If the battery becomes hot to the touch during charging, stop charging and allow it to cool before resuming. If the battery continues to overheat even with a low current of 2A, stop using it as it may be damaged.

Storage Condition

  • Store the lithium-ion battery in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place away from water, fire, and heat.
  • The recommended storage temperature is between -20°C and 70°C, with humidity lower than 75% RH.
  • Store the battery with approximately 70% capacity. Avoid exceeding 6 months of storage time without fully charging the battery.
  • If the battery remains idle for a long period, its capacity will decrease, and it should be fully charged every 6 months.

Transportation

  • When transporting the battery, pack it with insulating and shockproof materials to prevent damage from bumps.
  • Ensure the battery pole is placed upward and do not put the battery upside down. Mark the direction on the outer package.
  • Handle the battery with care during loading and unloading to avoid collisions. Do not throw the battery or place heavy objects on it to prevent damage.
  • Do not transport the battery together with flammable, explosive, or sharp metal goods. The packaging should have moisture-proof and waterproof labels to ensure safe transportation.
  • The battery will be transported at approximately 85% capacity.

Maintenance

  • If the vehicle is in storage or used infrequently, it is recommended to disconnect the battery cable. Alternatively, use a battery maintainer or charger to keep the battery charged.
