STICKING FILM ON CAR WINDOWS
What you need:
- Glass cleaner or ethanol to clean the windows.
- Plant spray filled with water and 5/10 drops of washing-up liquid.
- Towel.
- Rake.
- Razor blade.
- Window scraper.
Please note. For the first 6 steps do NOT remove the protective sheet.
- Clean the windows thoroughly. Remove all impurities with a window scraper.
- Spray the detergent solution on the outside of the window.
- Cut the film to size: Place the film on the sprayed window with the sticky side towards you. (You can check this by loosening a small corner and feeling what the sticky side is).
- Cut the shape of the window into the film.
- Attention! A heat-gun and squeegee are necessary for curved windows, such as the rear window. This is in order to remove wrinkles.
- Heat from the point where the wrinkles start and iron from the middle to the top. And from middle to bottom. Never iron from left to right.
- Wet the inside of the window to be coated with the detergent solution.
- Remove the protective sheet (when removing the protective sheet, leave the vinyl on the outside of the window).
- Moisten the inside of the window to be coated with the detergent solution.
- Then stick the window foil with the sticky side against the window and rub the water between the adhesive layer and the pane with the felt side of the squeegee.
- After installing the film, please wait 48 hours before cleaning the film (greasy fingers) and turning down the side window.
