Step 1: Log Placement
To properly place the logs in your Aspen 18 gas log set, follow the log
placement guide:
- Place log A-2-16 in the designated spot.
- Place log A-1-18 on top of log A-2-16.
- Place log A-1-9 next to log A-1-18.
- Place log A-4-12 on top of log A-1-9.
- Finally, place log A-2-9 on top of log A-4-12.
Step 2: Lighting the Gas Logs
Once the logs are properly placed, follow these steps to light the gas
logs:
- Ensure that the gas supply is turned on.
- Locate the gas valve control knob on your gas log set.
- Turn the control knob counterclockwise to the “Pilot” position.
- Press and hold down the control knob to release gas to the pilot light.
- While holding down the control knob, use a long-reach lighter or match to ignite the pilot light.
- Keep holding down the control knob for about 30 seconds to allow the pilot light to heat the thermocouple.
- Release the control knob and the pilot light should stay lit.
- Turn the control knob to the desired flame height or temperature setting.
