PREFACE
Thank you for purchasing GMRS Two Way Radio, It is a multitask GMRS
transceiver. Combining the latest technology in radio communication along with
a sturdy mechanical frame, the radio is the ideal and effective solution for
professionals who need to stay in touch with the working team (in construction
sites, buildings, shows, trade fairs or hotels) or for leisure users that just
want to keep up with friends and family.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
To help you ward off bodily injury or property loss that may arise from
improper operation, please read all the information carefully before using our
products. This contains instructions for safe usage and RF energy awareness
and control for compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Getting started
Operating Instructions
- Transmit no more than the rated duty factor of 50% of the time. To transmit (talk), press the Push-to-Talk (PTT) key. To receive calls, release the [PTT] key. Transmitting 50% of the time, or less is important because the radio generates measurable RF energy only when transmitting (in terms of measuring for standards compliance).
- Keep the radio unit at least 2.5cm away from the face. Keeping the radio at the proper distance is important as RF exposure decreases with distance from the antenna. The antenna should be kept away from the face and eyes.
- When worn on the body, always place the radio in an approved holder, holster, case, or body harness or by use of the correct clip for this product. Use of non-approved accessories may result in exposure levels that exceed the FCC’s occupational/ controlled environmental RF exposure limits.
- The use of non-approved antennas, batteries, and accessories causes the radio to exceed the FCC RF exposure guidelines.
- Contact your local dealer for the product’s optional accessories.

Before Use
Attaching the Battery
- Align the battery with the battery holder on the back of the radio.
- Push the battery firmly into the radio and slide the battery up until it locks into place.
To remove the battery, turn off the transceiver. Slide the battery latch into the unlocked position and hold, and then slide the battery downward and out of the battery mount.
Attaching the Belt Clip
- Align the belt clip with the belt clip guide on the back of the main unit and press down on the belt clip until you hear a lock.
- If you need to remove the belt clip, press the lock firmly inward and push the belt clip up until it is completely retracted
Attaching the Audio Accessories
- Open the headset cover
- The headset plug into the headset hole will be 0k.
- When you do not need to use the headset, unplug the headset plug from the earphone jack and cover the earphone cap. When not using the universal interface, please cover the dust cover.
Charging and battery maintenance
Charging the Battery
Before initial use, fully charge the battery to ensure optimum performance. To
charge the battery, do as follows:
- Connect the cradle to the power adapter and plug it into a power outlet.
- Place the battery into the charger, and then switch the power outlet on.
To determine the charging status, check the light-emitting diode (LED) indicator on the charger according to the following table:
Battery Maintenance
The battery for your radio comes uncharged from the factory; please let it
charge for at least four to five hours before you start using your radio.
- Use only batteries approved by the original manufacturer.
- Never attempt to disassemble your battery pack.
- Do not expose your batteries to fire or intense heat
- Dispose of batteries under local recycling regulations. Batteries do not belong in your trashcan!
Prolonging the life of your battery
- Only charge batteries in normal room temperatures.
- When charging a battery attached to the radio, turn the radio off for a faster charge.
- Do not unplug the power to the charger or remove the battery and/or radio before it’s finished charging.
- Never charge a wet battery.
- Batteries wear out over time. If you notice a considerably shorter operating time with your radio, please consider purchasing a new battery.
- Battery performance will be reduced in temperatures below freezing. When working in cold environments, keep a spare battery on you. Preferably inside your jacket or in a similar location to keep the battery warm.
- Dust can interfere with the contacts on the battery. If necessary wipe the contacts with a clean cloth to ensure proper contact with the radio and charger.
Storage
Partially charge your battery before long-term storage to prevent damage from
over-discharge. While lead acid must always be kept at full charge during
storage, this radio uses a lithium-based battery and should be stored at
around a 40 percent charge. This level minimizes age-related capacity loss
while keeping the battery in operating condition and allowing self-discharge.
- To avoid severe capacity degradation of your battery while in long-term storage, please cycle the battery at least every six (6) months.
- Store your batteries in a cool and dry place, never above normal room temperatures.

LED Indications
The radio is equipped with LED indicators to make it easy for you to know the current operating status of the unit.
Basic Operations

Power and volume
Power On/Off: Turn the [Power/VoIume Switch] knob clockwise to turn the transceiver on and adjust the volume to maximum.- Turn the [Power/Volume Switch] knob counterclockwise to adjust the volume to the minimum until the transceiver is turned off.
- If the channel broadcast function is turned on, the current channel number is broadcast.

Select a channel
- After turning on the power, rotate the [Channel Selector] Knob to select the channel.
- If the channel broadcast function is enabled, the intercom will broadcast the current channel number.
- The current channel is empty, the radio will send out a “beep” sound alarm.

Making a call
- Initiate a call: After selecting a good channel, press and hold the [PTTJ key to place a call to the current channel. Speak into the microphone with a normal tone. When the call is initiated, the red LED is always on.
- Receive a call: After releasing the [P TTI key, you can answer it without any action.

- After installing the accessory tool, click Settings to switch to the English interface
- Plug into computer and machine with programming cable
- According to the interface function prompts, read frequency, write frequency, set related functions
One-click match
Copy the intercom frequency with one key, without programming
How does one click match?
- Power on first, then tune to channel 1, then power off
- Press and hold the side button, then power on
- When you see the green light flashing after powering on, it means entering the decoding mode
- Pick up another walkie-talkie that needs to be linked to transmit
- After the decoding intercom receives the signal, there will be a “di” prompt sound, indicating that the decoding is successful
- Restart the walkie-talkie and save the channel frequency.
When receiving a call, the green LED is always on. To ensure the best reception volume, keep the distance between the microphone and the mouth at the time of transmission from 2.5 cm to 5 cm.
Monitor Feature
- The Monitor feature allows the radio to receive weak signals.
- To turn on or off this feature, press the preprogrammed [Monitor] key.
English/Chinese language setting
- Used to prompt the sequence of the current channel.
- Chinese/English language setting: Rotate the channel knob to 15 channels, press and hold the [PTT] key to power on.
Low battery alarm
- When the battery is low, it can be charged in time by voice reminder.
- When the battery is too low, the transmission will be prohibited.
Advanced operation and Computer Programming

Scan function
- The Scan feature allows you to listen to activities on a channel, keeping track of your team members. With this feature enabled, the radio searches the scan list preset for the current channel and stays on a channel with activities.
- Selected intercom channel 16, after opening the scan, the terminal will scan according to the scan list, the channel scanning when there is an event; will stay on the channel to listen to understand the current status of activities related members.
- General CPS programming software sets the Scan Add option of the frequency list, the setting range: Yes/No. Select YES to activate the channel scan function and No to cancel the channel scan function. The factory default set of channel 16 opens to a scanning function
- When there are less than 2 scan cable channels, the radio cannot scan.

Voice Operated Transmit (VOX)
- The Voice Operated Transmit (VOX) feature allows you to transmit voice without pressing and holding the [P TTI key. The radio automatically transmits voice when the volume reaches the preset level. A higher gain level indicates lower sensitivity, which requires a higher volume for triggering transmission.
- You can set the sensitivity of the microphone voice emitted by voice gain. The higher the voice-activated gain level, the lower the sensitivity and the louder the volume of voice required for the terminal to transmit. Please set the gain level correctly according to the current environment and the volume of the speech, etc., to avoid frequent accidental triggering of voice control (high sensitivity) or difficulty in triggering voice control (low sensitivity).
- Voice is used to control the gain sensitivity of the microphone voice emitted, arranged by the dealer.
- General CPS programming software set Vox Lever option, setting range: off / 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9. Select off to turn off the VOX function. The factory default is to turn off this feature.

Busy Channel Lockout
The Busy Channel Lockout feature allows the radio to keep beeping when you press and hold the [PIT] key when the current channel is occupied by other radios. When the current channel is idle, you can transmit by pressing and holding the [PIT] key. General CPS programming software, settings list Busy Lock option, setting range: off/on. Select On to activate the channel busy lockout function, and select Off to disable the channel busy lockout function. The factory default is to turn off this feature. -
Automatic power save feature
Your radio has a unique circuit designed to dramatically extend the life of the battery. If you do not transmit and do not receive an incoming call, or no button and knob operation within 3 seconds, your radio switches to the Power Save mode. The radio is still able to receive transmissions in this mode. General CPS programming software sets the Battery Save option in the list. Select to enable this feature, unchecked to turn off this feature. -
Time-out Timer (TOT)
- The Time-out Timer (TOT) feature allows the radio to stop transmission automatically and keep beeping when the period reset by your dealer expires. To stop beeping, release the [PTT] key. You need to wait for a certain period (also preset by your dealer) to start transmission again. This feature aims to prevent a radio user from occupying a channel for an extended period and to avoid radio damage due to overheating.
- General CPS programming software sets the Time Out Timer option, the setting range: off/30/60/90/120/150/180/210/240/270/300 (s). Selecting off turns off the TOT function and does not limit the launch time. The factory default is 60 (S).

Setting the Squelch Level
- The squelch level refers to the squelch threshold required for the radio’s speaker to be turned on.
- Generally, a higher squelch level requires higher signal strength. The squelch level includes 0-9.
- In general CPS programming software, set the Squelch Lever option, the setting range is: 0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 Select 0 to turn off the squelch function and turn on the speaker for a long time. The factory default is 5 levels.

QT/DQT (CTCSS/DCS)
- QT/DQT (CTCSS/DCS) is the sub-audible signaling, to prevent the radio from receiving unwanted signals on the same frequency. When CTCSS/DCS is set, then within the communication range, you can only receive signals from the same frequency with the same QT/DQT setting. When the QT/DQT is off, you will get all the signals from the same frequency within the communication range.

Decoding function
Can crack the transmitter frequency and subtone code, The intercom in channel 1 holds down the side key + start, the green light flashes into the decoding mode, the transmitter is launched, and the signal received by the intercom has a drop of a prompt tone, the crack is successful, you can go to the next channel to crack the new signal, shut down and restart after cracking to save the cracked channel frequency.
