Overview

This device is a wonderful combination of a full, QWERTY keyboard and a touchpad mouse. The 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Keyboard operates with a universal USB interface Adapter, the Nano USB Receiver.
This device is perfect for everyday computer use when it would be difficult to use a typical mouse and keyboard setup. For example, a presenter can operate their presentation display computer wirelessly from within a 30-foot radius. Change slides and screen options, write on the screen, highlight words and objects just by using this wireless Mini Keyboard and Mouse with Touch Pad.
For people who want to watch internet TV play on their computer or even standard TV, you can use this wireless mini combo like a universal remote control.

Getting Started

  1. Flip the keyboard over, and you will see the battery bay and Nano USB Receiver storage door.
  2. Press the bottom and slide the bay door open.
  3. Inside you will see the battery bay and the Nano USB Receiver. The Nano USB Receiver should be stored in this place when the Keyboard is not in use so that it does not get lost. The Keyboard can not function without it.
  4. Insert 2 (two) AAA alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery bay in accordance with the imprinted diagram in the bay. Improper installation of the batteries will prevent the device from functioning.
  5. Remove the Nano USB Receiver from the bay and carefully insert it into an available USB port on the device you wish to use the Mini Wireless Keyboard to control.
  6. Replace the battery bay door by placing it on the side guides and pressing it back down into place until it snaps to indicate it is locked in position.
  7. On the top right of the Mini Keyboard, you will see the ON/OFF power switch. Slide the power switch to the “ON” position to establish the connection.
  8. The device you are using the Mini Wireless Keyboard to control may establish its own registration of the new device and set up the appropriate drivers for its use, this normal.
  9. Typically, you can begin using the device immediately as you would with a keyboard or mouse.

Using the TouchPad

It is highly encouraged that you begin getting a feel for the touchpad and the location of the various functional keys to make a smooth transition into using this device.
You should note the art on the pad indicating touch use. Taping the touchpad with one finger actives the left button functionality of a typical mouse. Tapping and sliding with two fingers activates the scroll wheel function. Tapping with three fingers activates right button functionality.
The Keyboard also features keys to activate left and right mouse clicking in two different regions: the far left buttons are Left on top and Richt click on the bottom, and each appears on its appropriate side beside the touchpad.
The touchpad has two modes: detail and wide. To activate wide mode or switch between modes, find the Function (Fn) button on the bottom left of the Keyboard and press it along with pressing the Space bar key at the center bottom of the Keyboard. You will see that the Space bar has blue art indicating the touchpad mode change.
The TouchPad can also be temporarily disabled by pressing the Fn key together with the F8 key. Pressing this combination of keys again will reactivate the touchpad. The touchpad will also be active by default every time the Keyboard is powered on.

Using the Keyboard

Now that you understand one use of the Fn key (see previous section), you should understand how it opens up the functionality of the rest of the Mini Wireless Keyboard. This Keyboard can perform all the same functions as a full- size keyboard. The functions in blue can be utilized by pairing those keys with the Fn button.
The Keyboard features pre-programmed shortcut buttons that activate your device’s default media player, email, and web browser home page. Please experiment with these buttons to see how your device interprets them. There will be some buttons that do not have a function on your specific system.
In addition to the shortcut keys, you can also access the media playback and audio volume via the left circular button pad. The right circular button pad acts as a way to move through selected objects in an application.

Auto Sleep and Powering Down

If there is a long period of inactivity, the keyboard will automatically go into a sleep mode. During the sleep mode, the user can wake the unit up by pressing any key (not the touchpad) The Keyboard’s power indicator lights will stay on in sleep mode. To power down completely, slide the power switch to the OFF position.
