WARNING

  • DO place this flashlight out of the reach of children!
  • DO NOT shine the flashlight directly into the eyes of anyone!
  • DO NOT place light heads near flammable objects as high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and become flammable/ignite!
  • DO NOT use the flashlight in inappropriate ways such as holding the unit in your mouth. If the battery were to fail while doing so death or serious injury could result.
  • This flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight’s outer case. Pay close attention to the thermal condition of the flashlight to avoid burns.
  • Remove the battery from the flashlight to prevent accidental activation when the flashlight is placed in a closed-in and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks!
  • The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable; so the whole flashlight will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Switches

  • The round tail switch is the tactical switch for instant activation.
  • The oval tail switch is the functional switch for output selection and instant strobe.

On/off

  • Tap the tactical switch to momentarily turn on the light, release it and the light will go out.
  • Fully press the tactical switch to constantly turn on/off the flashlight.

Output Selection

  • With the light switched on, single click the functional switch to cycle through Low
  • With the light switched on, press and hold the functional switch to enter the strobe mode, and single-click the functional switch once again to cycle through Strobe—SOS.

Strobe

  • With the light switched off, press the functional switch to enter the strobe mode,

Note: The above specifications are from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing using the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.O battery, under the temperature of 21±30C and humidity of 50% – 80%. The true performance of this product may vary according to different working environments nd the actual battery used.
The Turbo output is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to the built-in temperature protection mechanism.

Intelligent Memory Circuit
The light memorizes the last selected output excluding strobe and SOS. When turned on again the previously used output will be recalled.

“21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion. Cell abuse or short-circuiting are considered user- induced damage and are not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability.

Unscrew the tail cap and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the tail cap back on.

CHARGING

  1. Open the anti-dust cover to reveal the USB Type-C charging port and plug the USB-A socket of the charging cable into an appropriate AC-powered USB plug/outlet, then connect the USB Type-C socket of the charging cable to the flashlight.
  2. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn to green when fully charged.
  3. Once charging is completed, be sure to unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust cover.

Note

  1. When charging fails or the battery is inserted backwards, the battery level indicator will flash red to notify the user to check the battery condition.
  2. The normal charging time of the flashlight is approximately 3.5 hours from depletion to fully charged. The flashlight cannot be operated while charging.
  3. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain the optimum performance of the battery.

*Note: These features only work with a Fenix ARB-L21 series rechargeable battery.

BATTERY LEVEL INDICATION
Each time the light is turned on, the indicator will indicate the battery level will.

  • last for 3 seconds.
  • The green light on saturated 100% – 85%
  • Green light flashes: sufficient 85% – 50%
  • Red light on: poor 50% – 25%
  • Red light flashes: critical 25% – 1%

*Note: This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L21 series rechargeable battery.

INTELLIGENT OVERHEAT PROTECTION

  • The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 650C/1490F or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
  • When the temperature drops below 650C/1490F, the light automatically recalls the previously used output level.

LOW-VOLTAGE WARNING
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the lamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind you to replace or recharge the battery.

USAGE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent-quality battery.
  • lf the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
  • A: Poor battery level.
  • Solution: Replace or recharge the battery (Ensure the battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
  • B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
  • Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
  • If the above methods don’t work, please contact your authorized distributor.
