Connection
- Connect the RJ9 to RJ9 connection cable supplied with the Jabra PRO 94×0 in the socket marked with the “phone” on your PRO 94×0 base and the other end in the socket marked with a “phone” symbol on the EHS adapter.
- Now connect the end of the RJ45 to RJ45 connection cable (EHS adapter) marked in “red” to the socket marked “AUX” on the EHS adapter to the “AUX” socket on your Jabra PRO 94×0 base.
- Now connect the RJ9 to RJ9 connection cable marked white and “C” to the socket marked “headset/handset” on the EHS adapter and to the “headset” socket on your phone.
- Important: With the phones 1408/1416 and 9404/9408, the cable marked white and “A” must be used (instead of the “C” cable).
- Connect the dial tone sensor with the EHS adapter, and attach this to the middle of the phone speaker.
- Please be aware that the phone will not be fully functional until the coloured markings for all cables have been connected to the EHS adapter, see photo.
- You now have the option of setting up the headset on your phone via the automatic or manual configuration.
Automatic configuration
- To start the automatic configuration, ask someone to call you on this phone and wait at least 10 seconds before taking the call. The appropriate EHS mode should now be installed.
- If the automatic configuration has not worked, please select DHSG mode manually.
Setup
Base setup
- Set the phone setup switch to position “A”.
Microphone level setup
- Remove the cover from the base of the Jabra PRO 9450 and make a call with the headset, to a colleague for example.
- If you are too loud or too quiet to the person you are calling, please use the volume adjuster until you achieve the optimum volume level.
