Before First Use

  • Please confirm that the kettle is in good condition and the accessories are complete.
  • If there is dust on the surface of the kettle, please wipe it with a soft cloth.

Customizing the Lid Tension

If you feel the kettle lid fits too loosely or is too hard to take off, you can adjust the tightness of the lid.

  1. Take off the lid.
  2. Use a tool to adjust the 3 tabs on the kettle lid. [Figure 2.1-2.2]
    • a. If you push the tabs in, the lid will fit more loosely, and will be easier to put on and take off.
    • b. If you pull the tabs out, the lid will fit more tightly, and will not come off as easily.
  3. After adjusting the tabs, put the lid back on and take it off again to see if the fit is correct. If not, adjust the tabs again until the lid fits the way you prefer.

Water Test

Perform the Water Test before using your kettle to make sure it’s working property.
Do not drink the water that is boiled during this test.

  1. Remove all packaging from your kettle and its accessories.
  2. Completely unravel the power cable and place the power base on a flat, level, stable surface.
  3. Fill the kettle with water to the “MAX” line [Figure 1.01, then put the lid on the kettle. Press firmly to make sure the lid fits securely.
  4. Press the On/Off Switch.The indicator light will turn on

Using Your Kettle

  • It is recommended to use distilled water for perfect pour-over brewing.
  • Make sure there is always some water left in the kettle during use (at least 350ml). Otherwise, the kettle will automatically turn off.

Boiling Water

  1. Open the lid and run water into the kettle until it reaches but not sits higher than the MAX fill line.
  2. Close the lid tightly.
  3. Plug the power cord into a polarized 110 / 120 VAC wall outlet.
  4. Press the On/Off switch to turn the kettle on
  5. The kettle will automatically turn off once it has finished boiling the water.
  6. Lift the kettle off the power base to pour water and drink(MAX dumping angle 600)

Boil-Dry Protection

  • Make sure there is always some water left in the kettle during use(at least 350ml). Otherwise, the kettle will automatically turn off.
  • What should I do if a dry burn has occurred?
    • Please unplug first.
    • Please pour some cold water into the kettle and wait for the kettle to cool down.
    • After the kettle is completely cooled to room temperature, you can continue to use it.
  • Starting the heating when the water in the kettle is less than 350ml may cause damage to the temperature sensor, which may cause the kettle to fail to heat .
  • Boil-Dry can cause permanent damage to the kettle or cause a fire.

Risk of Electric Shock & Leakage

  • Do not insert any foreign objects in the air inlet or outlet when the kettle is powered on, as this may damage the kettle itself and cause electric shock or fire.
  • If any part of the kettle is damaged in operation, contact customer service or professionals for repair or replacement Do not risk repairing or replacing by yourself.
  • Do not add the water exceeded the max line as the boiling water would jump into the steam tube and cause the “leakage”
  • Avoid holding the kettle leaning towards to the handle as the water may flow into the steam tube and cause the “leakage”

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, Do not expose the kettle to water or rain.

Care & Maintence

This appliance requires little maintenance from the user as it contains no user serviceable parts. If necessary, any servicing or repairs must be done by qualified personnel.
Cleaning

  1. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the kettle and base with a soft, damp cloth. Make sure that the electric socket on the underside of the kettle is kept dry.
  3. Dry all parts after every use.
  4. Do not wash with abrasive soaps or detergents.
    • Note: Never immerse kettle or power base in water.

Descaling the Kettle
You should descale the kettle at least once a week if you use it frequently. Descaling removes any mineral deposits that have built up inside the kettle. Always descale the kettle before and after storing for long periods of time. If scale deposits build up inside the kettle, please follow the steps to descale it. Otherwise, temperature consistency may be affected and time to boiling will be longer.

  1. Squeeze half a lemon or add 16 US cup / 118mL of distilled vinegar into the kettle.
  2. Add 2 US cups / 473mL of fresh water. Boil the mixture.
  3. Let the mixture cool for 15mins to loosen the deposits, and pour it out.
  4. Use a soft damp cloth, sponge, or brush to clear off any remaining deposits.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
  6. Repeat the above steps as appropriate.

General Safety

CAUTION!

  • Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.

  • Using accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
  • Do not use outdoors. Household use only.
  • Place the kettle on a dry, flat, stable surface.
  • Do not place the kettle (including the base) on or near heat sources such as stovetops, ovens, radiators, etc.
  • Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the kettle.
  • To avoid scalding, always make sure the lid is securely closed while the kettle is operating.
  • Do not cover the spout opening while the kettle is in use. Do not cover the openings on the lid.
  • Plastic bags and other materials used for packaging should be properly kept to prevent infants from suffocating.
  • Never use the cord as a handle or otherwise yank, strain or stretch the power cord. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces.
  • The kettle should not be allowed to be used by person with mental, physical or sensory impairments and inadequate experience and knowledge, including children and the elderly, except under the supervision and direction of those responsible for their safety.

PLUG & CORD

  • Do not let the cord (or any extension cord) hang over the edge of a table or counter.
  • Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces.
  • This kettle has a 3 -prong grounding plug. Always plug in to a grounded electrical outlet. Do not modify the plug in any way.
  • This kettle uses a short power supply cord to reduce the risk of entangling or tripping. Use extension cords with care.
  • Any extension cord must also be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
  • The marked electrical rating of an extension cord should be at least as high as the rating of the kettle
  • DO NOT operate this kettle with a damaged cord or plug.
  • DO NOT cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from high traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.
    • Note: Ifthe electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your kettle may not operate properly. Operate it on a separate electrical circuit.
