Recording close to electronic equipment or air conditioning units can affect recording quality.

How to remove a sound file

There are two methods available to remove/delete sound files from the memory inside the Heart, as follows:

The Red ight will flash twice to indicate that the sound file has been deleted. Repeat one by one to delete additional sounds from the memory.
ii. Connect the Heart to your Computer with a USB cable and delete the required sound fileys from the list in the ‘USB Drive’ folder.
Special note for MAC users. When you delete unwanted sound files from the Heart please also ensure that you delete the files from your computer’s Recycle Bin. This will ensure the files have been completely removed.
Important Note
If you need to format your Heart, please use a Windows PC using FAT or FAT32. Please DO NOT format using a MAC computer, this will permanently damage the Heart and it can not be repaired.

Trouble Shooting

a. If you experience a problem when connecting your Heart to your computer, please check the plugs and sockets to see if the cable is fully connected or has become damaged. Please also check if you are using the correct USB cable because some USB cables do not allow you to transfer data files. Try using a different cable to connect.
b. The Heart will only play sound files saved in MP3 format. The total file size can not exceed the 8MB capacity. We recommend that your MP3 file is MONO, 128kbps, 44.1kHz, 16 Bit. Please also ensure that your file name does not include any symbols, such as -#”>* +/ etc.
c. If your MP3 file/s is larger than 8MB, try editing it to make the file size smaller. Editing methods coul include, i) Reducing the playback time, i Changing the sound file from Stereo to Mono, or iii) Altering the sample rate.
Please contact us if you require more help with audio editing.
d. MP3 files that have been created using iTunes are not compatible. iTunes MP3 files use different coding, so please try using another software program to convert your files to MP3.
e. If the battery poner becomes low, you will experience sound distortion and/or incomplete playbacks. Replace with new high quality batteries.
