Minimum System Requirements
- Intel Pentium 4 2,0Ghz or higher Processor. (For Centrino Mobile platform: 1,7Ghz or higher Processor).
- 256Mb Internal Memory (512Mb Recommended).
- 250MB Free Disk Space (1000Mb Recommended with Time Shifting).
- AC97 Compatible Sound Card.
- Graphics Card (With support for DirectX 9.0b or higher).
- Windows XP with Service Pack 1 / Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4.
- Microsoft DirectX9 & Windows Media Player 9 or higher.
Driver & Software Installation Windows XP / Windows 2000
Note: You need to install the Drivers & Software first before you connect the CTVDIGRCU to your computer!
Insert the Product CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive. The CTVDIGRCU Menu should appear automatically. If the Menu does not appear, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CD-ROM and execute “Autorun.exe”.
Note: Make sure you have a recent version of DirectX installed on your computer. If you don’t have a recent version, use the option “Install DirectX” on the CD-ROM to install DirectX.
Driver Installation
- Select the option “Install Drivers” in the Autorun Menu.
- The driver will be installed on your computer. Wait for the completion of the installation and click “Finish” to close the installer.
Software Installation
- Select the option “Install ArcSoft TotalMedia” in the Autorun Menu.
- The Setup Wizard will be started. Select your Language and click “OK” to continue.
- The TotalMedia welcome screen will be shown. Click “Next” to continue.
- Click “Yes” to accept the License Agreement and continue the wizard.
- Change the installation destination with the “Browse” button, or keep it default. Click “Next” to continue.
- Change the Start Menu destination, or keep it default. Click “Next” to continue.
- The software will be installed. Please wait for the completion of the installation and click “Finish” to close the Setup Wizard.
- After the Driver & Software installation is finished, reboot your computer before you connect the CTVDIGRCU to your computer!
Connect the CTVDIGRCU to your computer
- Turn on your computer.
- Connect the antenna converter to the antenna.
- Connect the antenna with the converter to the CTVDIGRCU.
- Connect the CTVDIGRCU to a free USB port on your computer.
- If needed, use the USB Extension cable between the CTVDIGRCU and your computer to extend the distance between the devices.
The device will be recognized and installed automatically.

Keyboard Shortcuts
TotalMedia can be controlled with the arrow keys on your keyboard. Next to the arrow keys, the following keys can be used as a shortcut for different TotalMedia commands:
- Arrow Keys: Navigate through TotalMedia.
- Enter: Activate selection.
- Backspace: Return to the previous screen.
- F1: Open TotalMedia Help.
- F2: Activate Time Shifting.
- F4: Switch Source.
- F5: Take a snapshot of the displayed TV Channel.
- F6: Switch Sound Channel (Only for Multichannel TV Sound).
- F8: Mute Sound.
- F9: Decrease Volume.
- F10: Increase Volume.
- F11: Switch between the 2 last channels.
- Ctrl + [+] (Plus): Channel Up.
- Ctrl + [-] (Minus): Channel Down.
- Ctrl + Alt + F12: Enter / Exit TotalMedia.
- Ctrl + T: Start Live TV.
- Ctrl + M: Start Music Mode.
- Ctrl + I: Start Picture Mode.
- Ctrl + A: Start Radio Mode (Not supported by CTVDIGRCU).

Using TotalMedia
When the Drivers & Software are installed, and the CTVDIGRCU is connected to
the computer, you can use TotalMedia to watch Digital TV.
You can start TotalMedia in various ways:
- A. Click on “Start”, “Programs”, ArcSoft TotalMedia”, and “TotalMedia”.
- B. Doubleclick on the TotalMedia shortcut on your desktop:
- C. Press the ON/OFF Button on the Remote Control.
- D. Press Ctrl + Alt + F12 on your keyboard.
- E. Doubleclick on the TotalMedia systemtray icon:
When the TotalMedia application is started, you will see the following screen:

Select the option “TV” to start using the CTVDIGRCU. If the application is started for the first time, there are no TV channels defined. When you select the option “TV”, TotalMedia will ask you to define your TV Channels:

Select “Yes” to open the Channel Setup. You will see the following screen:

Check if the TV Signal is set to “DVB-T”

Select your Region.

Select “Start” to begin with the channel search. The Channel Scan takes a few minutes. Please wait until you see the following message:

Select “OK” to continue with the TotalMedia application.

Select the option “Save” in the Channel List to save the found channels.
