  • Surge Protectors do not last forever. Also, a surge can happen at any time.
  • Frequently check to ensure that the “protected” indicator light is still illuminated. If not, then the unit has absorbed its limit and must be replaced. This is not a defect; it is a function of the product.
  • Clear Power warrants to the original consumer purchaser, and solely for the benefit of such original consumer purchaser (the “Consumer”), that this Clear Power product is free of defects in materials and workmanship during the 1 Year Limited Warranty period so long as such Consumer only properly uses the Clear Power product.
  • Clear Power will replace its product if, within thirty (30) days of the discovery of the defect in materials and workmanship, the product is returned pre-paid, with proof of purchase by the Consumer to:

  • Product will be replaced or refunded if after analysis and review by Clear Power’s QC Department, the product is deemed covered under the Limited Warranty, as outlined above.
  • Clear Power assumes no liability for any incidental or consequential damages relating to its use, including loss of or damage to data and/or software, lost sales or profits or damages resulting from delays or failure to perform under this Limited Warranty.
  • CLEAR POWER DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OF NONINFRINGEMENT THAT ARE BEYOND THE TERMS OF THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY HEREIN.

DEFECTS IN MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP

Products that are returned for warranty inspection after months or years of continuous reliable service are rarely found to be defective. The most common demand for replacement (other than abuse) is the result of normal wear and tear issues, which are not considered to be a defect in materials or workmanship. No warranties are extended for misuse of the product, or use that is contraindicated by instructions provided with the product.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

SURGE TAP SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This product is designed for INDOOR USE ONLY. DO NOT use in wet or damp areas or outdoors at any time.
  2. Use this product only with a 125 volt AC power source. Do not exceed 1875 watts and/or 15amps maximum load.
  3. Surge Protectors do not last forever. Frequently check to ensure that the “protected” indicator light is still illuminated. If not, then the unit has absorbed its limit and must be replaced.
  4. Always disconnect connected devices by using the plug – never pull out the plug by pulling the power cord.
  5. Never open the case or housing. There are no user serviceable parts inside and opening the case renders any warranty null and void.

CAUTION

  • Do not install this device if there is not at least 10 meters (30 feet) or more between the electrical outlet and the electrical service panel.

PLEASE NOTE

  • This device features an internal protection component that will disconnect power to the entire unit when the surge protection components are no longer functioning.
  • This is not a defect. It is an indication that the device protected against a surge and must be replaced.

WARNING

Failure to comply with the following may result in damage or injury. All warranties contained herein are null and void if the product is used in violation of any ofthe following conditions:

  1. Do not use in receptacles that are not properly grounded.
  2. Do not “daisy-chain” power strips, wall taps or surge protectors in serial fashion.
  3. Do not plug power strip or wall tap into an extension cord.
  4. Do not plug extension cords into power strip or wall tap.
  5. Do not use power strip or wall tap in conjunction with a UPS (uninterruptible power supply).
  6. Do not use power strip or wall tap with three-to-two-prong adapters.
  7. Do not plug heaters or heat producing devices such as coffee makers, toasters, clothes irons, etc. into the power strip or wall tap.
  8. Do not use with generators.
  9. Do not use with sump pumps.
  10. Do not use with water-related devices.
  11. Do not use with life support devices.
  12. Do not use with medical devices.
  13. Do not use with cars or motorcycles.
  14. Do not use with golf-cart or EV battery chargers.
  15. Do not use with aquariums.
  16. Do not plug into a GFCI protected receptacle.
