SA-01 Clone Function
- Plug Source HDD to SA-01

- Turn on SA-01, Wait for the IDE/ SATA1 and
- SATA2 RED LED Light to Turn Solid (No Need to Connect USB 3 0 at This Time)
- Click the “CLONE” Button Once for 3 Seconds
- The BLUE LED Lights Will Start Blinking from 25% -100%
- After all 4 BLUE LEDs Turn Solid, Turn Off Unit
- Connect SA-01 to the PC by USB 3.0 Cable, and Turn On the Unit to Verify That the Clone is Complete.
NOTICE:
- Ensure Target Drive has a Larger Capacity and is Formatted Before Cloning
- Do NOT Connect SA-01 to USB 3.0 when Cloning
- If Source HDD is 2.5″ IDE Use a 2.5″IDE Bridge Board
IDE Source to SATA2 Target
- Connect 2.5″ IDE Bridge Board to 2.5 “IDE HDD
- Connect 4 Pin Power Adapter
- Connect SSA-01 to 2.5″IDE Bridge Board
- Connect DC Power Adapter
- Connect SATA Target Drive
- Turn the Power Switch On
& 2.5″ SATA1 Source to SATA2 Target
- Connect SA-01 to 2.5″ / 3.5″ SATA1 Source Drive
- Connect SA-01 to 2.5″ / 3.5″ SATA2 Target Drive
- Connect DC Power Adapter
- Turn the Power Switch On
Please note:
- Fail to clone, please check whether the capacity of SATA2 is larger or equal to SATA1/IDE.
- Offline cloning, 25% 50% 75% 100% LED flashes at the same time. The SATA2 indicator goes out. The reason may be the hard disk’s bad sectors; Data virus; Hard disk Yes Failed; or SATA1 / IDE capacity exceeding SATA2.
- After cloning, SATA2 couldn’t pop up when connected to the computer. Please right-click directly “Computer Management – Disk Management to find it.
- For cloning, please mind SATA2 data will be completely covered by SATA1 And clone failure may lead to data loss. You need to backup the contents of your drive to a separate storage.
- Under the condition of power failure in the clone process, the source disk and the target disk data may be lost. Please backup your data first
- This adapter can connect up to two drives at the same time

INTIALISE & PARTITION
- For old hard drives, you can find the disks in your “Computer”.
- For new hard drives, you have to find disks in’Disk Management” as follows(Windows 10)
- a. Right-click “Computer” -Manage Disk Management, and then choose the new disk to initialize it.
- Please note: For HDD under 2TB, please select a partition, while for 2TB or more than 2TB, please select MBR partition.
- c. According to the following tips choose volume size to establish different partitions.
- Please note : For HDD under 2TB, please select MBR partition, while for 2TB or more than 2TB, please select GPT partition.
- b. Right-click “Disk 1” New Simple Volume. please select MBR partition.
- d. You will find the new disk in Devices and drives.

- In general, the hard disk can be used so do not need to change, if it can not identify the hard disk or connect multiple hard drives, you should set the hard disk Master or slave.
- There is no standard, according to the front of the label on the hard drive to set. Such as Seagate hard
USB Safe Removal
- Always use the Safely Remove Hardware feature before shutting down the docking or disconnecting the USB cable and power cable.
- It may cause data corruption if do not do USB-safe removal correctly.
- To guarantee system integrity and the safety of the product, please follow the below operation for USB-safe removal.
- Make sure the docking is not in working condition, no access operations command, and the indicators are not blinking.
- Right-click the device icon from the system tray at the lower right corner of your screen. (Figure 1)
- Click the device icon for safe removal, the system will prompt: [The device can be safely removed from the system] (Figure 2)
- Click on OK to close the prompt window
