SAFETY RULES

- Stay alert. Do not operate while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- Always wear safety approved eye protection with side shields (ANSI Z87.1).
- Keep work area clean and free of debris.
- Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the 13″ Flooring Cutter and work area.
- Make sure tool is secure. Operate only on a firm substrate or solid stand.
- Use the right tool. Do not force the 13″ Flooring Cutter or use it for a job for which it was not designed; use only on approved materials.
- Keep blade sharp. A dull blade will not perform properly.
- Always keep hands away from blade while operating or carrying.
- Do not alter or misuse this tool. The 13″ Flooring Cutter is precision built; modifications not specified in this manual may result in a dangerous condition.

- Never leave the 13″ Flooring Cutter unattended. Secure the handle with the lock chain when not in use.

SET UP
- ASSEMBLY
- The floor cutter has been fully assembled and adjusted before leaving the workshop, and can be used right out of the box after the handle is tightly mounted on the Cam Shaft.
- The function of Adjustment Bolt (A) and Adjustment Bolt (B) in Fig.2 are to adjust the blade height. They are pre-set and no need to re-adjust before first job.
- SETTING UP FOR OPERATION
- The laminate flooring cutter is shipped with the blade assembly in the down and locked position.
- This safety feature ensures that the cutting edge of the blade is not exposed during transport or storage.
- To unlock the blade, loosen Velcro strap and depress the handle.
- Warning! Secure handle in the down position and re-engage the Velcro strap before storing, carrying or transporting- ing your laminate flooring cutter.
- CUTTING PREPARATION
- Warning! Do not put your fingers against the sharp edge of the blade at any time.
- Put floor plank on the work table and adjust the cutting length by rule (A and B)
- STRAIGHT CUTTING
- Insert material between the cutting blade and the base, hold the material with foot then push handle down to complete a cut.
- Warning! Maintain control of the handle. Do not allow handle to slam back after making cut.
- ANGLE CUTTNG
- Insert material between the cutting blade and the base by Angle Lines on the work table, then push the handle down to complete a cut.
- Warning! Maintain control of the handle. Do not allow handle to slam back after making cut.
- Warning! Do not put your fingers against the sharp edge of the blade at any time.
BLADE ADJUSTMENT
ADJUSTING THE BLADE
- Untighten the Lock Nut A (Fig.6)
- Turn Adjustment Bolt B (Fig.7) clockwise to press blade to a lower position to compensate for the blade wear.
- NOTE: The pitch on each turn of bolt B is 1.5mm. It is suggested to rotate bolts on each side of the cutter 1/3 of a turn to lower the whole blade by 0.5mm and tighten the Lock Nut A to secure the position of Adjustment Bolt B. The adjustment of both bolts must be the same.
- Cut a piece of paper to ensure the tool is set correctly (Fig. 8). The test paper should be cut off over 30% of the length.

WARNING: VERY SHARP BLADE
HONING BLADE
- Removing burrs from the flat edge of the blade is very important, honing a new blade should be done after the first 100-300 cuts, after every 200+ cuts and when the blade has been re-sharpened.
- With the blade (Fig. 9-B) installed and positioned roughly 1/8″ above the table top, lay the flat side of your small honing stone (Fig. 9-A) against the flat side of the blade.
- Move the honing stone from one end to the other a few times until burr has been removed.
SHARPENING OR REPLACING BLADE
- The included blade can be sharpened.
- Only the beveled edge of the blade must be sharpened. The flat edge of the blade must remain flat. We recommend that this operation be done by a qualified professional.
Warning! Blade is very sharp. Wear gloves when handling blade.
- To remove the blade (Fig. 10-A), remove the seven allen head screws (Fig. 10-B) & Spring Washers using the supplied hex. key. Carefully remove the blade.
- Once blade has been sharpened or replaced, it can be re-installed. Position the blade (Fig. 11-A) with its flat edge facing the table (Fig. 11-B). Make sure the mounting surface and blade are clean, re-install the blade with the seven allen head screws removed earlier using the supplied hex key.
LUBRICATION
To prevent surface corrosion, it is recommended to apply a small amount of
light machine oil on the sliding parts of the laminate cutter. Lubrication
should be done once every two months or once a month if working in dirty or
dusty conditions.
