Is this the correct product for me?
- A battery charger is a long term solution to maintain the health of a battery. It monitors the voltage of the battery, topping up as required.
- A jump starter is an emergency solution to start a vehicle when the battery has become depleted for example when leaving vehicle lights on. Ring Automotive sell jump starters, call helpline, details below to get advice on which model to purchase.

Does not Charge Battery.
Ensure the unit is connected correctly, refer to the user instructions. -
Unit is displaying “Er 1”
This product is designed to recharge depleted batteries but does not resurrect fully depleted batteries. A minimum of 2 volts is required to be detected in the battery to activate the charging cycle. This feature is to ensure that the unit is connected to a recoverable battery. -
Unit supplied has wrong county mains plug fitted.

Unit is Displaying “Er 2”
Defective Battery or Battery connected is different from the charge mode select, for example charger set to 12v but you are trying to charge 6v battery. Please consult manual. -
Unit won’t Jump Start the Vehicle
This unit is a battery charger not a Jump Starter. You need to purchase an RPPL300 Jump Starter Pack or similar. -
Missing / damaged accessories

Unit Is dead / backlight has turned off / nothing on the screen
- Check unit is connected correctly and plugged in.
- The backlight automatically turn offs. Press the select button again, the back light will illuminate. If unit still not working contact Technical Support, details below.
- The charger automatically turns off when charging is complete.
- The screen says “ful.”
