Be attentive when testing the Ferminator
If testing the Ferminator before use, it is of key importance to do this with
a fermenter filled with water and place the temperature probe on the back of
it, facing away from the Cooling/Heating unit. Read more: 1.5.1 The
temperature probe. This will ensure the Ferminator is operating correctly
during the test. Neglecting to do this could result in the Ferminator not

Press Start/Stop button to begin the temperature regulation of the Ferminator.
1.5.1 The temperature probe must be placed on the back of the fermenter,
facing away from the Cooling/Heating unit. It recommended to isolate the probe
with an isolation material to get an exact temperature measure of the brew as
possible and not the air around the fermenter. Even better would be to measure
the temperature inside the fermenter with a Graviator or thermowell.
NOTE! The temperature probe should still be applied when using a
Graviator or Tilt. The Ferminator will use the temperature probe as a backup
if it loses the connection to the Graviator or Tilt, ensuring the temperature
is still adjusted correctly.
1.6 Page 2: Connect a Graviator or Tilt.

Make sure the Ferminator has access to your WiFi network.
Place your fermenter with your brew inside the Ferminator and place the
temperature probe on the back of the fermenter or in a thermowell. An even
better and more precise solution would be to use a Graviator for measuring
temperature and density. Assemble the Ferminator and connect the power cord.
On the display of the Ferminator you can see when the WiFi icon have connected
to the server (see section 1.8) and on the BrewCreator “Dashboard” you can
also see when your Ferminator Connect is “ready”. Choose your Ferminator and
press the “Batch Info” tab and enter the information about your batch of beer.

save and the batch will be saved, and the “Brew date” will automatically be
set.
You will now see a “started” icon in the Ferminator tile and a icon in the
Ferminator display, illustrating that datalogging to BrewCreator has started.
Chose the tab “Devices”, where the desired temperature and fan speed are
entered. Click on “Regulate temperature” so this is set to “on”. Press “Save”
to save these entries. On the Ferminator display these values will now be
shown, and your brew and temperature regulation have started. The “Brew Stats”
and “Graphs” tab gives you an overview of the brew and it is possible to
follow the temperature regulation closely. When a brew is stopped and a new
brew is started, the “Brew date” will automatically be set again.
