Perfect coffee from the grounds up
A truly perfect brew starts with ground coffee, but it takes the right grinder for coffee beans to reach their full potential. You can select cup quantity or grinding time by touching the LED Screen to grind the exact amount of coffee you want. The high torque/low-speed grinder helps keep beans from overheating during even the longest grinding session, creating a uniform grind for optimal flavor extraction, and generating minimal static to reduce mess. Whether you like strong or weak, espresso or drip, French press or pour over, our coffee grinder can help you get the grinds you need to make your perfect cup.

North American models with a grounded plug:

POLARIZED PLUG
This machine has a polarized plug(one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm, do not use that outlet.

POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) may be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a long detachable power- supply cord or extension cord is used:

  • a. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the machine;
  • b. If the machine is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord;
  • c. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Do not pull, twist, or otherwise abuse the power cord.

NOTE

  1. As our machine is equipped with a voltage of 100-120V and UL plug, to prevent burning out, do not connect the grinder with any improper power supply. If the machine is not connected to a voltage of 100-120V, make sure an adapter is being used. The rated power of the adapter should be higher than 300W, otherwise, it will not function normally or even could be burnt out.
  2. Do not touch the LED screen with oily hands or use too much force, it will not work.

The Quest For Perfect Powder

Prepare the Beans

  1. Prepare your preferred amount of fresh coffee beans, open the Hopper lid, and then add the beans into the Bean hopper. (The bean hopper holds up to 240g of beans at a time. We suggest each time adding your daily amount of coffee beans into the bean hopper. Don’t add too many at once.)
  2. Press the bean hopper lid tight to avoid coffee beans being moisturized.

NOTE: This grinder can only grind dry beans. It will not grind anything moist, extremely hard, or gummies such as whole ginger, chocolate, sesame seeds, or oily spices such as cinnamon, cloves, or nutmeg. Do not grind peanuts or grains such as wheat, rice, barley, or dried corn. Attempting to grind any of these foods may damage the unit. Never use it to chop ice cubes.

For optimum flavour & extraction:

  • A. The grind settings 0-15 are suitable for medium or dark roasted beans, 15 and above can be used for light, medium, and dark roasted beans, but very dark beans are not suitable for very fine grind settings, and settings 8 and above are more suitable, otherwise, your grinder will be easily blocked. The deeper the roast level, the more oily the beans would be, and the more frequent deep cleaning for your grinder is required.
  • B. If you don’t clean and maintain the grinder properly, the coffee beans can leave some greasy residue on the burrs and in the feeder channels. The oil residue can cause the coffee grinds to stick in the feeder channels and lead to a clog. Over time, this slows down the flow of coffee grinds. The amount of coffee grinds is controlled by the selection of cup quantity or grinding time. Therefore, you will find that fewer and fewer coffee grinds would be produced by grinding with the same cup setting or time setting.
  • C. Do not use lightly roasted beans with the grind settings below 15, because the lightly roasted beans are of high density and hard to grind, if you grind them with a fine setting, fewer coffee grinds will come out and they will be sticky, which can cause the coffee grinds to stick in the feeder channels and lead to a clog. Over time, this slows down the flow of coffee grinds. The amount of coffee grinds is controlled by the selection of cup quantity or grinding time. Therefore, you will find that fewer and fewer coffee grinds would be produced by grinding with the same cup setting or time setting.
  • D. Do not fill the bean hopper with frozen or coated beans, moisture will seep into the burr and feeder channels. Over time, this will cause the same problem as that in point A.
  • E. Do not add any liquid flavorings or syrups to the beans, otherwise, this will cause the same problem as that of point A.

Setting the Grind Size

  1. Optimal grind size depends on many factors including brewing method, roast darkness, bean type and freshness, and more. Experiment with different grind settings to achieve the brew that best suits your taste.

  2. You may need to vary the grind setting when using different coffee beans depending on bean freshness. The range of 35 grind settings allows for precision adjustment, controlling the grind size and ultimately the characteristics of the resulting extraction.

    • You can refer to the following table:
  3. If your coffee tastes too bitter, try a coarser grind size. If your brew is weak, adjust to a finer grind size. (1=finest, 35=coarsest).
    NOTE

  4. If the grind is too fine, over-extraction and bitterness will result. Too fine a grind may also clog the filter and cause water to overflow.

  5. If the grind is too coarse, the water will pass through too quickly and the maximum flavor will not be extracted.

  6. Use the correct method to adjust the grind size settings.

    • Situation 1 : When you want to adjust a fine setting to a coarser setting, just rotate the Grind Regulator directly before grinding.
    • Situation 2 : When you want to adjust a coarse setting to a finer setting.
    • If there are no coffee beans inside the grinder, you can rotate the Grind Regulator directly to achieve your setting;
    • But if there are coffee beans inside the grinder, you cannot rotate the Grind Regulator forcibly, otherwise, grinder damage may occur. In this case, you can either grind all the coffee beans inside the grinder and then adjust the grind setting directly, or grind beans and rotate the Grind Regulator simultaneously to achieve your fine setting.
  7. After every time switch grind setting size, firstly place the silicone lid of the grind container under the grinder powder outlet, and then grind a small amount of beans and discard, this can avoid powder from your last grind affecting your coffee.

Operation Tips

  1. To pause the grinder during operation, press the Start/Stop icon to stop.
  2. To save your time and meet your taste, we suggest that you firstly test to confirm your desired grind size and bean amount, and then grind the beans by time mode. Take note of how much time it takes so that next time you can easily get your desired powder by inputting the recorded time based on the same type of beans and grind size. If changing grind size and beans, please follow the above method to get the new time.
  3. Do not operate the grinder for more than 3 minutes at a time, Otherwise, the grinder will stop automatically to protect its motor and maintain its lifespan. The grinder will not start regardless of any operation until it cools down for 30 minutes.
