Drive Operation

First step:

After the machine is connected to a host without the corresponding driver installed for approximately 8 seconds, it will load a removable disk named “USBDISPLAY.” Inside the disk, the driver installation package will be placed. Below are the contents of the removable disk as seen by different operating systems:

Windows Operating System

The steps to install Windows drivers are as follows:

1. Connect the “dual-screen” prototype to the computer and wait for the disk to pop up. Open the driver program in the disk.
2. Choose the installation path, it is recommended to keep the default, and directly click on the icon USBDisplay_ Windows VX.X.X.XX.exe to start the installation.
3. Confirm the information is correct, click “Install” to begin the installation (as shown).
4. Wait for the installation to complete. It is recommended to select “Yes, restart the computer immediately” to restart the computer immediately. Click “Finish” and wait for the computer to restart (as shown).
5. After the computer restarts, follow the physical connection diagram mentioned above to start the screen mirroring function.

Note: This is the installation process for the first time. If USXXX or MXXXX drivers have already been installed, please uninstall the previous version before installing the new version.

macOS Operating System

The steps to install macOS drivers are as follows:

1. Connect the dual-screen devices to the computer and wait for the USB drive to pop up. The “USBDISPLAY” disk will appear on the desktop.
2. Open the installation program (it is recommended to have a local backup of the latest version of the installation program for uninstallation and viewing the current driver version).
3. Click on the “UsbDisplay. pkg” installation package (as shown).
4. Click on “Continue”.
5. Click on “Install”.
6. Enter the password as shown in the figure below and click on “Install Software” (if there is no password, click on “Install Software” directly).
7. Wait for the installation to complete and “Restart”.

Note: This is the installation process for the first time. If USXXX or MXXXX drivers have already been installed, please uninstall the previous version before installing the new version,

Note: MacOS10.15 and later versions of the operating system can only display the mouse at this step. The screen recording file needs to be configured to display normally. Please refer to the following for details:

Setting screen recording permissions on macOS:

1. When the computer restarts, a dialog box will pop up. Open System Preferences and proceed to “Step 3” for further settings. If the dialog box does not appear, open System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2. Select Security and Privacy.
3. Choose the Privacy tab.
4. Enter your password as prompted and allow changes. 5.Click the checkbox next to MacUsbDisplay.
5. Click the lock again to save the changes.
6. Click Quit Now.

If the USB to video adapter fails to work properly, you will need to restart the system again.

Q:The machine did not automatically load the removable disk named

A:Checkif the computer has installed the driver before, please uninstall it first and then reinstallit

A : Windows: Find the Macrosilicon USB Display process in the Task Manager and terminateit, then power offthe prototype and reconnect it to the host. Wait for about 8 seconds, and the removable disk named 'USBDISPLAY' will be loaded.

A: On the computer, click on System-Settings-Screen-Select the corresponding screen -Confirm-Zoom-Change the text font size

Connection Method:

(Supports Type-C/HDMI peripheral devices such as laptops and hosts)

1. Type-C Connection
   One end of the Type-C cable is connected to the Type-C port on the display, and the other end is connected to a video output device (such as a laptop or computer) with a full-featured Type-C port.

2. HDMI Connection
   One end of the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI port on the display, and the other end is connected to a video output device (such as a laptop or computer) with an HDMI port.

To receive HDMI signals, an additional USB cable (A-C cable) is required for the secondary screen to display.
Note: If the video output port is a USB 2.0 port, the default resolution of the secondary screen is 1280768. You can adjust the resolution to 19201080 in the display settings on the host, but there may be a 10ms-15ms delay on the secondary screen.
