Product Usage Instructions

2. APP Download:

  * Method 1: Download the “Label Expert” app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  * Method 2: Scan the provided code to download the app directly.

APP Download

1. Method 1: Download ‘Label Expert’ from App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Method 2: You can also scan the code to download it directly.

Printer Connection

1. Connect and power on the printer referring to the User Manual-‘3. Printer Connection.
2. Load labels and calibrate referring to the User Manual-‘4. Label Loading and Calibration’.
3. Turn on smartphone Bluetooth-> Open ‘Label Expert’-> Click ‘ ’to add the printer-> Click ‘Search’ and select the device ‘BY-482BT’-> Wait for connect automatically.
4. If a pop-up window asks for a PIN code->check the two boxes below->enter ‘0000’ and click ‘OK’.

Print a PDF File

Download or send the PDF file to your smartphone. OR you can get a sample label in the U-disk.

Import a PDF file

• Method 1: Tap ‘PDF print’->click ‘Import PDF documents’->Search the file you want to print from the Position shown at the bottom.
  NOTE: Please allow the app access to ‘Storage’ permissions.

• Method 2: Open the file from any software on your phone directly. Click ‘Open in Other APP’-> Select the ‘Label Expert’ APP.

Set the preference
Click ‘More Settings’-> Check and change the settings such as ‘Paper size’, ‘Print effect’, and ‘Watermark settings’

TIPS:

1. Choose the ‘size’ according to the size of the labels you load.
2. You can open ‘Smart crop ’ to make the label content fit the label size.
3. Click ‘ ’ to rotate the label.

Edit a watermark with ‘Image’ or ‘Word’ if you need.

Slide the ‘Transparency’ to change the density of the watermark text. Click ‘Next’.
NOTE: If you choose to print labels with watermarks in black and white, the watermarks will obscure the content. However, if you select the ‘dither’ option, the watermarks will not obscure the content.

Choose the copies you need->Click ‘ ’ to set more parameters such as ‘speed’, ‘density’ and ‘spacing’. Generally, turn on the default speed, density and spacing settings to print-> Click the ‘ ‘ icon in the upper left corner to return to the last step.

NOTE: If the labels printed are light or not clear, you can increase the density properly. A larger number means higher density, but too high density may cause some unwanted dark lines, and the label may get too hot and stock to the printer head.

Before print check the ‘Device status’->Click ‘BY-482BT’->Click ‘ ’->Click ‘Attributes’.
NOTE: Must choose ‘203’,’ TSPL’.Keep “Filling” being OFF in case of label reversal and “Compression” being ON in case color inversion or mass black and white text.

More Features

Template your customized labels
Tap ‘New label’-> Choose ‘Shape’ and ‘Size’ as you need and input the name of this label.

Edit your own customized label content by using module materials. Click ‘ ’ to save it for the next time use. Click ‘Image’ -> Choose a piture and crop the area you want to print.

Scan to print
Tap ‘Scan Print’ to scan the barcode(such as FNSKU)-> Edit the content if you need->Choose the preferences such as ‘Content Format/Status’ ’, Barcode Font/Size/Align’, Layout’ -> Click ‘Print’ or Click the ‘ ’ icon to save it .

NOTE: If the barcode you crop out is horizontal, please rotate it to be vertical before printing, in case high temperature causes black blocks on barcodes, which may result in unsuccessful scanning.
