Product Information

The DS17-60 is a 2.0 Channel Speaker System with a model number of OR-01. It has dimensions of 100mm x 150mm and weighs 80g. The LED indicator on the sound bar provides information about the status of the speaker.

Install or replace the remote batteries

Battery type: 1.5V AAA Alkaline battery x 2 (Battery not supplied, please use yours)

How to use the remote control:

  • Short Press Power on/off
  • Short Press Switch Mode (USB, OPTICAL, ARC, BT, AUX)
  • Mute/recover the volume
  • Volume turning up
  • Play/Pause
  • Previous Track
  • Next Track
  • Volume turning down
  • Short Press to BT mode
  • Treble Down
  • Treble Up
  • Bass Down
  • Bass Up
  • Long Press to Volume Reset

Connect the SPEAKER:

  • Choose one of the following connection methods:

AUX Connection:

  • Use an AUX audio cable or RCA cable to connect the SPEAKER to your TV.

Optical Connection:

  • Use a digital optical cable to connect the SPEAKER to your TV.

ARC Connection:

  • Use an ARC cable to connect the SPEAKER to your TV.

Product Usage Instructions

AUX Connection:

  1. Choose a line in cable (3.5mm to 3.5mm) or RCA cable to connect the SPEAKER to your TV.
  2. Turn on the SPEAKER.
  3. Press the MODE button on the sound bar remote to select the AUX input mode.

Optical Connection:

  1. Turn off the SPEAKER and TV.
  2. Connect the SPEAKER to the TV using the optical cable (remove the white cover on the cable).
  3. Turn on the SPEAKER.
  4. Press the MODE button on the SPEAKER remote to select the OPTICAL input mode.
  5. Turn on the TV.
  6. Press the home button on the TV remote and go to TV settings.
  7. Select “audio” or “sound” settings.
  8. Select “external speaker” or “TV speaker setting”.
  9. Select “audio” or “sound” expert settings.
  10. Select “digital audio output” or “PCM”.
  11. Select “SPDIF optical” or “setting”.
  12. Play a TV show to test the SPEAKER.

ARC Connection:

  1. Turn off the SPEAKER and TV.
  2. Connect the SPEAKER to the TV using the ARC cable (remove the white cover on the cable).
  3. Turn on the SPEAKER.
  4. Press the MODE button on the SPEAKER remote to select the ARC input mode.
  5. Turn on the TV.
  6. Press the home button on the TV remote and go to the TV settings.
  7. Select “audio” or “sound” settings.
  8. Select “external speaker” or “TV speaker setting”.
  9. Select “audio” or “sound” expert settings.
  10. Select “digital audio output” or “PCM”.
  11. Select “SPDIF ARC” or “setting”.
  12. Play a TV show to test the SPEAKER.

Connect the SPEAKER

Using &Connect to your TV

Optical

  • Step 1, Turn off the SPEAKER and TV, and connect the SPEAKER to the TV through the optical cable. (Remove the white cover on cable).
  • Step 2 , Turn on the SPEAKER, press the “MODE” on the SPEAKER remote, then select the input mode “OPT” which is shown on the LED display.
  • Step 3, Turn on the TV, press the home on the TV remote, go to TV setting audio(sound) →TV speaker–select external speaker or turn off TV speaker save the setting, then back to audio (sound setting)–select expert setting digital audio output (or optical output)-select PCM (some TV called SPDIF or optical), Save the setting.
  • Step 4, Play a TV show to test the SPEAKER.
  • Kindly Note: For optical connection, please change the TV audio output to PCM(or SPDIF and optical) and external speaker, otherwise you will get cracking noise or no sound.

ARC

  • Step 1, Turn off the SPEAKER and TV, and connect the SPEAKER to the TV through the optical cable. (Remove the white cover on cable).
  • Step 2, Turn on the SPEAKER, press the “MODE” on the SPEAKER remote, then select the input mode “ARC” which is shown on the LED display.
  • Step 3, Turn on the TV, press the home on the TV remote, go to the TV setting →audio(sound) →TV speaker–select external speaker or turn off the TV speaker, save the setting, then back to audio (sound setting)-select the expert setting digital audio output (or optical output)-select PCM (some TVs called SPDIF or ARC), Save the setting.
  • Step 4, Play a TV show to test the SPEAKER.

AUX

  • Step 1, Choose a line in cable (3.5mm to 3.5mm) or RCA cable to connect the SPEAKER to your TV.
  • Step 2, Turn on the SPEAKER, press the “MODE” on the sound bar remote, then select the input mode “AUX” which is shown on the LED display.
  • Step 3, Turn on the TV, press the home (or menu) on the TV remote, go to TV setting → audio(sound) →TV speaker–select external speaker(turn off TV speaker), and save the setting. For some TVs, please back to audio(sound) →select analog output→ to select the Variable save the setting).
  • Step 4, Play a TV show to test the SPEAKER.

BT

The BT connection

  1. Press the “MODE” on the SPEAKER remote, then select the input mode “BT” which is shown on the LED display, the “BT” will flash.
  2. Turn on BT on the BT device. (see the device’s manual for more information)
  3. Select “OR-01” from the device BT list, and connect it. When your BT device is connected, the LED display will stop the flash.
  4. Play music from the BT device to test the SPEAKER.
  • You cannot connect more than one BT device at a time.
  • If your device requests a password, enter the default “0000”.
  • Only works with the device that can output a BT signal, it can not work with some devices that can not output a BT signal such as headphones.

USB

  1. Connect your USB drive to the USB jack on the SPEAKER.
  2. Press the “MODE” on the sound bar remote, then select the input mode “USB” which is shown on the LED display.

Kindly Note: only for USB flash drives to play MP3 music and update firmware, can not be compatible with other USB devices.
