installing and using the unit.
1.4 DATAPLATE
The data plate is visible on the pellet hopper door or on the back of the
unit. It gives the unit technical data, including the model, serial number, CE
marking, test laboratory and the reference test report.

recording or any other storage and experiment system, for any purpose other
than the purchaser’s personal use only, without the Manufacturer’s express

The company reserves the right to make changes to the product at any time

The Manufacturer is in no way liable for the consequences of incorrect
operations carried out by the user.
1.6 GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
All operating and maintenance instructions and recommendations described in
this manual must be respected. For best results, the Manufacturer recommends
performing cleaning and maintenance operations regularly to keep the equipment
in best condition.
The Manufacturer guarantees its products in accordance with the regulations
currently in force, with the exception of parts subject to normal wear. For
the warranty conditions, contact the importer or the authorized
representative, who can supplement the mandatory warranty period with an
additional period at his sole responsibility. The product warranty is voided
for any problem, breakage or accident due to failure to comply with or apply
the instructions contained in this manual.
This manual, the technical data sheet or layout and the various declarations
(DoC, DoP, etc.) are available on the company website or by requesting them
from the local Dealer.
The Manufacturer thanks you for the trust placed in us by purchasing one of
our products.
GENERAL INFORMATION
2.1 RECIPIENTS
This manual is intended for the user of the heating system and is an integral
part of the product. The unit is a heat generator fueled exclusively with wood
pellets in automatic operation, designed to heat the room by radiation and
convection generated by combustion. It must be installed inside residential
premises sized according to its performance and heating capacity.
2.2 SUPPLY AND KEEPING
The manual is supplied in paper format.
Check that it always stays with the unit and in case of sale, transfer to
another owner or installed in another place, make sure it is present so that
it can be consulted at any time.
It must be kept intact in all its parts and in case of loss or damage, request
a copy from the authorized Technical Support Center or download it from the
company website.
It must also stay with the unit until scrapping, even in the event of moving,
sale, renting or other.
2.3 PURPOSE AND CONTENT OF THE MANUAL
The purpose of the manual is to provide fundamental and basic information for
correct installation, maintenance and use of the product. Strict observance of
the instructions provided ensures a high level of safety and functionality of
the unit.

2.5 MANUFACTURER’S RESPONSIBILITY
With the receipt of this manual, the Manufacturer declines any liability, both
civil and criminal, direct or indirect, due to:
- installation not compliant with the regulations in force in the country and with the safety directives/standards;
- partial or total failure to observe the instructions contained in the manual;
- installation by unqualified and untrained personnel;
- use not in accordance with the safety directives/standards;
- modifications and repairs carried out on the product, not authorized by the Manufacturer;
- use of non-original spare parts or parts that are not specific to the product model;
- lack of maintenance;
- exceptional events.
2.6 USER CHARACTERISTICS
The user of the unit must be an adult and responsible person with the
necessary technical expertise for routine maintenance of the product.
Make sure children do not approach the unit to play with it while it is in
operation.
SAFETY
3.1 GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read this instruction manual carefully before installing and using the
unit. Failure to comply with the provisions of this manual may void the
warranty and/or cause damage to property and/or people.
Installation, electrical connection, checking of the system, operation and
initial calibration of the unit must be carried out exclusively by qualified
and authorized personnel.
For direct electrical connection to the grid, a device must be provided which
ensures disconnection in case of overvoltage, in compliance with the
installation rules The unit must be connected to a single flue that guarantees
the draft declared by the Manufacturer and which complies with the
installation standards provided for in the place of installation.
The room where the unit is installed must be have an air intake or a suitable
combustion air supply system.
Before operating on the equipment it is necessary to know the position and
function of the controls, the operating instructions and safety instructions
contained in this manual.
The unit can be used by children at least 8 years of age and by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or the
necessary expertise, provided they are supervised and have received
instructions on its safe use and understand the inherent dangers.
Children must be supervised, ensuring that they do not play with the unit and
in the room where it is installed.
It is forbidden to operate the unit with the fire door open.
All the doors (pellet hopper, door, ash pan) must always remain closed when
the stove is working and when not being used.
The unit must not be used as an incinerator, but only and exclusively to heat
the room and/or the water of the heating and/or DHW system using as the only
fuel wood pellets having the characteristics described in this manual.
Do not use flammable liquids or substances to light it.
It is forbidden to handle easily flammable or explosive substances in the
vicinity of the unit while it is working.
Avoid direct contact with parts of the unit which can get hot during
operation.
Ensure an ambient temperature between 0°C and 35°C in the installation room,
avoiding very high humidity (e.g. with the presence of laundry hanging out to
dry).
It is forbidden to modify the safety or adjustment devices without the
manufacturer’s express authorization.
Any tampering and/or unauthorized replacement using non-original parts can
endanger the user’s safety and relieves the manufacturer of any civil and
criminal liability.
Carry out regular maintenance on the unit, at least once a year, planning the
intervention in time with the personnel of the authorized Technical Support
Center.
Cleaning and maintenance intended to be carried out by the user must not be
done by children Only use original parts recommended by the manufacturer.
Any accumulation of unburned pellets in the brazier following a failed
lighting or emptying of the pellet hopper must be removed before restarting
the unit; always check the cleanness of the brazier and correct position
before each restart.
It is forbidden to manually load the fuel into the brazier. Failure to comply
can generate dangerous conditions Disconnect the unit from the power supply
before carrying out any maintenance operation. Removal of the plug must be
clearly visible for the operator to verify safe operation.
The generator is designed to operate in any climatic condition; in case of
particularly adverse conditions (strong wind, frost) the safety systems could
intervene and shut down the unit. If this occurs, contact the technical
support service.
Never disable the safety systems.
In case of fire in the flue use suitable systems to smother the flames, or
call the fire department.
Since the unit can turn on independently with the chrono thermostat, or
remotely via the dedicated applications, it is strictly forbidden to leave any
combustible object within the safety distances indicated on the data plate and
in this manual.
Residual risks
The unit is designed in such a way as to guarantee the essential safety
requirements for the user.
Safety, as far as possible, has been integrated into the design and
construction of the unit.
A description of the risk and the relevant area or part is provided for each
residual risk. Procedural information is also provided on how to avoid the
risk and on correct use of the personal protective equipment foreseen and
prescribed by the Manufacturer
3.2 SAFETY DEVICES
To ensure total user safety, the unit has been fitted with a number of safety
devices.

Fume exhaust safety | If a certain vacuum value is not reached or the fume |
outlet is blocked or the fire door is open, the safety pressure switch detects
the lack of negative pressure inside the combustion chamber which, via the
electronic control, stops the auger rotation motor, alerting the user of the
fault with a message on the control panel “AL8 NO NEG PRESS”.
Combustion chamber overpressure safety device| Any and/or sudden overpressures
of the combustion fumes inside the chamber and the fume evacuation ducts are
discharged through opening of the safety valve located above the combustion
chamber.
Overheating -Safety thermostats| A temperature probe connected to a safety
thermostat is positioned on the pellet conveyor which automatically
deactivates the pellet feed in case of excessive heating > 85°C. In this case
the extractor and/or fans continue to operate, allowing the unit to cool
rapidly. The fault is shown on the control panel with the message “AL 7
THERMAL SAFETY”. In case of intervention, operate as follows:
▪ Allow the unit cool down for at least 45 minutes and reset the thermostat by
pressing the button on the right-hand side, after unscrewing the protective
cap.
▪ Check that the power is present and restart the unit as per normal startup.
Pellet chute flare-back safety device| The solutions that prevent flare-back
are:
▪ negative pressure in the combustion chamber.
▪ the siphon shape of the pellet chute.
▪ the hopper temperature thermal safety.
Overcurrent protection device| The unit is protected against overcurrent by a
2A fuse inserted into the power supply, mounted in its fuse holder and fixed
to the rear wall.
Fume extraction fan failure| If for any reason the fume extraction fan stops,
the electronic control instantly blocks the supply of pellets, showing the
message “AL4 FAN-FAILURE”.
4. EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION
4.1 INTENDED USE
The unit is designed and intended for domestic heating of ambient air by
radiation and convection generated by the combustion of wood pellets.

The unit is designed and built to work safely if:
- it is installed inside a room in compliance with the technical standards in force in the country where installed and according to good practice.
- it is used within the limits stated in the contract and in this manual;
- the procedures in the user manual are followed;
- routine maintenance is carried out in the times and in the manner indicated;
- extraordinary maintenance is promptly carried out if necessary;
- the safety devices are not removed and/or bypassed.
- the unit must be used for its expressly designed purpose.
4.1.1. REASONABLY FORESEEABLE INCORRECT USE
Reasonably foreseeable incorrect use is listed below:
- heating food;
- heating areas at risk of fire and/or explosion;
- drying clothes or the like.
Any use of the unit different from its intended use must be previously
authorized in writing by the Manufacturer. Without this written authorization,
such use is deemed “improper use”; therefore the Manufacturer declines all
liability in relation to any damage caused to property or people and deems any
type of warranty void.
4.2 OBLIGATIONS AND PROHIBITIONS
4.2.1. OBLIGATIONS
- Read this instruction manual before carrying out any operation on the unit.
- Do not use the unit improperly, i.e. for uses other than those indicated in par. “Intended use”.
- Always carry out maintenance operations with the unit cold and off.
- Connect the unit to a flue in compliance with regulations.
- Connect the unit to the suction via a pipe or ensure the presence of an external air intake.
- Perform routine and extraordinary maintenance operations within the times indicated in this manual.
- Use original parts recommended by the Manufacturer.
- The use of flammable liquid fuels for lighting is strictly forbidden.
- It is strictly forbidden to install the unit in bedrooms, bathrooms and in general in rooms where there is already a heating unit without an independent air flow.
- Keep objects that are not heat resistant and/or are flammable at a suitable safe distance.
- Fuel the unit only and exclusively with wood pellets having the characteristics described in this manual.
4.2.2. PROHIBITIONS
End users must not:
- remove or modify the safety, signaling or control devices without authorization;
- carry out on their own initiative operations or maneuvers that are not within their competence or which can compromise their own safety or that of others;
- replace or modify any components of the unit;
- use products other than wood pellets;
- use the unit as an incinerator;
- use flammable or explosive substances in the vicinity of the unit while it is in operation;
- use the unit with the fire door and pellet hopper door open;
- under any circumstances close the combustion air inlet and flue outlet openings.

4.4 FUEL CHARACTERISTICS
The pellet is a compound made up of various types of wood pressed with
mechanical procedures in compliance with the regulations for protection of the
environment, it is the only fuel envisaged for this type of unit.
The efficiency and heating capacity of the unit can vary in relation to the
type and quality of pellets used.
For correct operation, the pellet unit requires pellets with the following
characteristics:

it is forbidden to use the unit as a garbage incinerator.
The Manufacturer recommends using certified fuel for its products (EN Plus,
DIN Plus, Ö-Norm M7135). The use of poor quality pellets or pellets that do
not comply with the indications above compromises the operation of your
product and can involve loss of the warranty and the manufacturer’s liability.
Store the pellets in a dry and humidity-free place. Be careful when storing
and handling bags of pellets. Avoid crushing and creating sawdust. The
presence of sawdust in the unit’s hopper can cause malfunctions and/or
blockage of the pellet feed system.

TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION
5.1 INTRODUCTION
The unit is delivered complete with all its mechanical and electrical parts
and tested at the factory.
Equipment handling, transport and unpacking operations must be carried out by
personnel who:
▪ are skilled and qualified for such operations;
▪ are trained and authorized by the Manufacturer;
▪ know the equipment, its components and the manual.
Make sure the devices used for lifting and transport can take the weight of
the equipment, specified on the data plate and in this manual.
During transport and storage, avoid exposure to rain or persistent damp.
The unit must be moved only upright, using a trolley/forklift and resting on
the base.
Particular attention must be paid to the fire door and its glass in order to
protect them from mechanical impacts that compromise their integrity.
5.2 PACKING
5.2.1. PACKING HANDLING

The unit is delivered wrapped in nylon protection and packed on a pallet +
wooden crate.
Upon collection of the unit, check:
▪ that the model matches the one ordered;
▪ for any damage due to transport.
Any claims must be notified to the carrier upon receipt.
For handling of the packed unit, proceed as follows:

The truck forks/base must be of adequate length to support the weight of the
unit.
Make sure to use lifting equipment suitable for its weight.
5.2.2. PACKING REMOVAL
Use suitable equipment to remove the boards or wooden parts of the unit’s
packing.
To remove the packing, follow the operations described below:

3 | Remove the unit from the pallet and proceed with the operations described |
in par. “Positioning”.
Disposal or recycling of the packing must be carried out by the end-user in
compliance with the current local regulations, ensuring that it is not within
the reach of children or disabled people.
The unit must always be handled upright, paying attention to the moving parts
of the product. Particular attention must be paid to ensure that the door and
its glass are protected from mechanical impacts which compromise their
integrity.
In any case, handling of the products must be done with caution. If possible,
unpack the product near the area where it will be installed.
If the product has to connected to an exhaust pipe that crosses the rear wall
(to enter the flue), be extremely careful not to force entry.
5.3 PLACE OF INSTALLATION, POSITIONING AND FIRE-PREVENTION SAFETY
5.3.1. FIRE PREVENTION REQUIREMENTS
▪ The place of installation must not be at specific risk of fire or used as a
warehouse for combustible material.
▪ The storage of solid fuel for a maximum volume of 1.5 m° is permitted in the
room where the unit is installed, respecting the safety distances from the
heating unit.
5.3.2. CHECK OF SUITABILITY OF THE UNIT TO BE INSTALLED
▪ The unit’s technical specifications must be analyzed, viewing the product
data sheet, to check its compatibility with the energy requirements of the
room(s) served and coexistence with other units.
▪ Make sure the room meets the requirements and characteristics of current
standards (the volume must not be less than “Min. room volume [m3] = 10 x
Reduced output kW” ref. UNI10683). At least the amount of air required for
regular combustion must enter the room. Therefore the walls of the room must
have openings which meet the following requirements:
▪ a free section of at least 6 cm2 for each kW and in any case not less than
100 cm2; the above- mentioned area must be increased if there are other active
generators inside the room.
▪ the opening must be located in the lower part of an external wall, protected
by an external grille which must not be obstructed and/or blocked and must be
cleaned periodically.
▪ In a hermetic installation, all the combustion air must be drawn (directly
from the outside using special sealed pipes and connections), allowing
installation even in dwellings that require a high degree of insulation such
as “passive” or “high energy efficiency” houses, therefore free air intakes or
ventilation grilles are not necessary in the installation room.
Set the equipment down on the floor very carefully without any bumping and
position it in the required area.
Make sure the floor can take the weight of the equipment, otherwise see a
specialist technician.
5.3.3. PLACE OF INSTALLATION, POSITIONING AND FIRE-PREVENTION SAFETY
Installation of the product must be carried out in a domestic environment
respecting the following conditions:
▪ Minimum temperature not below 0°C.
▪ Provide for an easy-to-access technical maneuvering space for periodic
maintenance.
▪ Presence of an approved power outlet and/or safety disconnect, accessible
once the work is completed.
▪ Presence of an adequate fume evacuation system correctly sized according to
current Standards, resistant to soot fire and which respects the prescribed
distances from combustible materials as per the data plate.
▪ Presence of adequate external ventilation to allow the entry of combustion
air and for the evacuation of any small combustion fume leaks.
▪ The unit must be connected to a fume evacuation system correctly sized
according to EN 13384-1, resistant to soot fire and which respects the
prescribed distances from combustible materials as per the data plate.
To position the unit, follow the operations described below:

Strictly respect the safety distances from combustible materials to avoid

The sealed unit can also be installed in domestic environments with the
presence of forced ventilation (e.g. extractor hoods) or rooms that may be in
a negative pressure with respect to the outside.

NOTE. The definitions of the distances are taken from EN 16510-1.
If the floor is made of wood or other combustible material, use a protection
in non-combustible material (steel, glass, etc.) which also protects the front
part from possible falling of combustible materials during cleaning
operations.
If the floor is made of combustible material, always install a floor
protector.
5.4 INSTALLATION
Installation operations must be carried out by a qualified technician and/or
authorized by the Manufacturer in compliance with the standards in force in
the country of installation (the national reference standard for the
installation of domestic appliances is UNI 10683 (IT) – DTU NF 24.1 (FR) – DIN
18896 (DE) – Real Decreto 1027/2007 (ES)), who must provide verbal
instructions to the user before use of the unit.
Permitted ambient conditions
Ventilated place (for non-sealed installations).
Minimum room temperature = not below 0°C
Minimum frontal distance for the protection of flammable objects = 0.8 m
The unit comes with the room probe secured to the back; it is advisable to
remove the fastener and put the probe in an ideal place for best detecting the
room temperature and according to length of the cable.
For detection distant from the unit, the installation of a room
thermostat/chrono thermostat is recommended.
▪ Installation and assembly must be carried out by qualified and authorized
personnel.
▪ In bathrooms, toilets, bedrooms and studio apartments, only sealed
installation or closed firebox units with ducted intake of combustion air from
the outside are permitted. The unit must operate with firebox closed.
▪ Suitable fire fighting devices should be available for any eventuality.
▪ Placing the units in rooms with an explosive atmosphere is prohibited.
In case of simultaneous installation with other heating units, provide for the appropriate air inlets (according to the indications of each product).
5.5 CONNECTIONS TO THE SYSTEMS
The connections must be carried out by a qualified technician and/or
authorized by the Manufacturer.
5.5.1. CONNECTION FOR THE FUME EVACUATION SYSTEM
The unit works with the combustion chamber in negative pressure and is
equipped with a fume extractor for expulsion into a flue. The combustion
products evacuation system is essential for correct operation of the unit,
therefore its implementation, adaptation and/or checking must be carried out
by a qualified technician in compliance with the regulations in force in the
country where the unit is installed.
The Manufacturer declines any liability for faults due to an incorrectly sized
and non-compliant fume evacuation system.
The installer must check the efficiency and state of the flue and its
compliance with local rules and/or provisions, and national and European
standards. Only use certified pipes and fittings with adequate seals that
ensure tightness.
Check that there is an inspection device at the bottom of the flue for
periodic checks and cleaning which must be done every year.
Check that an antiweed grille is installed at the top of the flue, in
compliance with current regulations.
The use of flexible metal or fiber cement pipes is prohibited.
In case of fire, turn off the unit, disconnect the power supply and promptly
call the fire department, avoiding continuous attempts to extinguish it.
5.5.1.1. TYPES OF INSTALLATION
The components of the combustion products evacuation system must be chosen in
relation to the type of unit to be installed.
FLUE
Description
Vertical duct having the purpose of collecting and expelling at a suitable
height from the ground the combustion products from a single unit and, where
permitted, more than one.
Technical requirements:
▪ be compliant with the applicable product standard (EN 1856, EN 1857 EN 1457,
EN 1806, EN 13063..);
▪ be sealed against combustion products, isolated and insulated according to
use;
▪ have a predominantly vertical path with deviations from the axis < 45°;
▪ be adequately distanced from flammable materials with an air gap or
insulation;
▪ have a preferably round, constant, free and independent internal section;
▪ be equipped with an inspect able chamber for the collection of solid
materials and any condensate located under the fume duct inlet.
In any case, the fume ducts must be sealed against combustion products and any condensation. Therefore, it is advisable to use pipes with silicone seals or similar devices which resist the unit’s operating temperatures (e.g. T200 P1) and which, by removing the seals, are in any case also certified T400 N1 G.
FUME DUCT OR CONNECTION
Description
Duct or connection element between the unit and flue for evacuation of fumes.
Technical requirements:
▪ it must not cross rooms where the installation of combustion units is not
allowed;
▪ flexible metal tubes or fibre cement pipes are prohibited;
▪ the use of counter-sloping elements is prohibited;
▪ horizontal sections must have an upward slope of at least 3%;
▪ the length of the horizontal section must be minimal and not more than 4 m;
▪ there must not be more than 3 changes of direction without the T union;
▪ with change of direction > 90° a max. of 2 bends can be used with length in
horizontal projection not exceeding 2 m.
▪ the fume duct must have a continuous section and allow the recovery of soot.
CHIMNEY CAP
Description
A device placed at the top of the flue to facilitate the dispersion of
combustion products into the atmosphere.
Technical requirements:
▪ it must have a section equivalent to that of the flue;
▪ it must have a useful section not less than double the internal section of
the flue;
▪ it must prevent the penetration of rain and foreign bodies and ensure the
discharge of combustion products in all weather conditions;
▪ it must ensure adequate dilution of the products and be positioned outside
the backflow area;
▪ it must be free of mechanical means of suction.
▪ the outlet position must be outside the backflow area (*) (refer to national
regulations to identify the backflow area);
▪ must be built always at a distance from antennas or dishes, and never be
used as a support.
EXAMPLES OF CORRECT CONNECTION TO THE FLUE

Installation of flue with hole for the passage of the pipe increased by:
▪ minimum 100 mm around the pipe if communicating with non-flammable parts such as concrete, bricks, etc.;
or
▪ minimum 300 mm around the pipe (or as per the data plate)if communicating with flammable parts such as wood, etc.
In both cases, insert suitable insulation between the flue and the floor.
Check and respect the flue data plate, in particular the safety distances from combustible materials.
The above rules also apply to holes made in the wall. -

Provide for a sampling point (sealed and easily removable) on the fume
connection for periodic checks on emissions.
Check the flue data plate for safety distances that must be respected in the
presence of combustible materials and possibly the type of insulating material
to be used.
It is forbidden to connect the unit to a collective flue or to a flue shared
with other combustion units or hood exhausts.
It is forbidden to use the direct wall outlet or towards closed spaces and any
other form of outlet not envisaged by the regulations in force in the country
of installation.
5.5.2. CONNECTION TO OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE
The unit must have the necessary combustion air to ensure regular operation
through outside air intakes. The intake must be as follows:
▪ by means of a wall air inlet prepared near the unit, communicating with the
outside (minimum free surface area of 100 cm²) suitably positioned so as not
to be obstructed, and protected externally by a grille;
▪ connection directly to the outside with a pipe having an internal diameter
of 50 mm and a maximum length of 1.5 m suitably protected at the end by
suitable protection.
▪ through the room adjacent to that of installation provided the air flow is
free to pass through permanent openings communicating with the outside, which
meet the requirements described in par. “Installation”.
The adjacent room must not be put in a negative pressure with respect to the external environment due to the draft induced by the presence of other possible appliances or suction devices. The adjacent room cannot be used as a garage, warehouse of combustible material and certainly not for activities with fire hazard.
- In case of combustion air ducting for non-sealed products, check that the installation room is not in a negative pressure by more than 4 Pa with respect to the outside, otherwise provide for an additional air inlet in the room.
The inlet connection or air intake of the unit is located at the back and has a round section with diameter 32 mm. For this reason, a flow of clean air, free of polluting elements, must be ensured for regular combustion at maximum output without any impediment or obstruction of the flow section.
5.5.3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Make sure the electrical system is compliant, and provided with grounding and
differential switch in accordance with the applicable Standards. Unsuitable
grounding of the system can cause a malfunction for which the Manufacturer is
not liable.
The unit is equipped with a power supply cable fitted with a Shouko plug.
Connect the unit to an approved 230V – 50 Hz electrical outlet. The power
outlet must be easily accessible even after installing the unit.
When the unit is not being used, it is advisable to unplug the power cable.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced immediately by the after-
sales service or by a qualified technician in order to prevent any risk.
The power cable must never touch the unit’s exhaust pipe. The fume exhaust
duct must have its own ground connection.
The supply voltage must match that given on the unit’s data plate and in the
technical data section of this manual. Power supply variations greater than
10% can cause unit malfunctions.

5.6 PROMPT INTERVENTION
Suitable fire-fighting devices should be available for any eventuality. In
case of a fire, proceed as follows :
Immediately unplug the unit.
Extinguish using suitable fire extinguishers.
Call the fire department immediately.
Do not extinguish the fire with jets of water.
CONTROLS
6.1 DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS
The control panel allows the unit to be turned on and off, adjustments during
operation and setting of management and maintenance programs.
The display shows information about the unit’s operation status.

6.1.1. REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY TYPE AND REPLACEMENT
The remote control is powered by a 3-volt CR2025 battery located in the lower
part of the device and for its insertion and possible replacement it is
necessary to proceed as follows:
– operate the lever indicated on the back of the remote control;
– pull out the battery holder drawer and replace the battery (CR2025 3 Volt
model), respecting the polarity;
– insert the drawer;
– check that it works properly with the unit operating.
Keep the remote control away from direct heat sources and water.
The remote control batteries must be replaced and disposed of separately in
appropriate containers in a safe manner in compliance with local environmental
regulations.
6.1.2. TURNING ON
Before turning on the unit, the following points need to be checked:
▪ make sure to have read and understood the manual;
▪ the hopper must be loaded with pellets with the door closed;
▪ the combustion chamber must be clean;
▪ the brazier must be completely free, clean of any combustion residues,
complete with flame baffle and positioned correctly in the brazier holder
seat;
▪ check the hermetic closure of the fire door and possible pellet door.
At first lighting, remove all components that could burn from the insert
firebox and from the glass (instructions/label).
Any lightings done after long idle periods require complete cleaning of the
combustion chamber and the removal of any pellets left in the hopper, in being
damp fuel no longer suitable for combustion.
When the unit is powered, the resident software version appears on the display
and then the status of the same which, in the case of first start-up, will be
off (OFF).
To turn on, press the ON/OFF button for a few seconds, until “Ignition”
appears on the display and the ON/OFF LED flashes. In these conditions, the
unit goes into pre-heating and the resistance (Igniter LED) and fume extractor
fan come on.
After a preset time the pellet loading phase begins. The phase is indicated by
the message “Pellet Loading” on the display and the ON/OFF LED flashing.
Pellet loading occurs with an ON/OFF auger cycle and ON time for a maximum
time; if within this time the board does not detect the flame, there will be a
failed ignition error.
It is forbidden to use flammable liquids for lighting.
In case of continuous failed lighting, contact the Service Center.
After the fume temperature reaches and exceeds the preset value, the system
switches to ignition mode displaying the message “Flame stab.” and the ON\OFF
LED flashes.
In this phase, the temperature remains stable for a defined time. The fume
speed is defined, the auger turns on for a fixed time (auger LED on flashing)
and the resistance is off (igniter LED off).
If a fault occurs, the unit stops and indicates error status.
6.1.3. WORK PHASE
When the fume temperature reaches and exceeds the preset value and maintains
it for at least a certain time, the unit switches to work mode, displaying the
message “heat” and the ON/OFF LED is on.
When the fume temperature reaches the preset threshold, the fan turns on
(exchanger LED on).
During the work phase, brazier cleaning is activated at preset intervals,
displayed by the message “Brazier clean” for a set duration.
Changing the work output
During the work phase, it is possible to change the heating capacity by
pressing the + button (set output LED on).
To increase output, press the + button again, to decrease it press the –
button.
The set output level is shown on the display. Wait 10 seconds to exit the
setting, without carrying out operations on the keypad, or press the ON/OFF
button.
Changing the room temperature
Press the – button to change the room temperature. The SET temperature is
shown on the display and to change it use the + (increase) and – (decrease)
buttons. After about 10 seconds, the value is stored and the display returns
to normal viewing, or press ON/OFF to exit.
When the room temperature reaches the set value, the heating capacity of the
unit decreases automatically until it reaches its minimum value; in these
conditions, the display shows the message “temp. Reached” and the LED on the
display comes on.
Standby
If enabled in the menu, this function allows the unit to be turned off under
the conditions listed below:
– if the room temperature is higher than the setpoint plus a temperature
gradient, the display will show the message “start-standby” for a certain
time, highlighting the time in minutes to activate the function.
After this time, the message “waiting” appears on the display; in this state,
the auger is off (auger LED off), the room fan switches off when the threshold
is reached and the ON/OFF LED flashes.
When the fume temperature reaches the preset threshold, the unit goes on
standby and the message “eco stop” is displayed. The auger is off (auger LED
off), the room fan is off (exchanger Led off) and also the fume fan.
If the room temperature drops below the set temperature (Room setting) minus
the temperature gradient, the unit turns on again.
Make sure to check the pellet level in the hopper to prevent the flame from
going out due to lack of pellets.
The lid of the pellet hopper must always remain closed, it must only be opened
when loading fuel.
The bags of pellets must be kept at least 1.5 m away from the unit.
If STANDBY mode is not activated and the SET temperature is reached, or if the
fume temperature has reached the maximum set value, the message MODULATE or
MODULATE F appears on the display and the unit activates the flame modulation
procedure without any user intervention.
If, instead, the STANDBY mode is activated, when the SET temperature is
reached the unit activates the modulation mode for a few minutes. If the
temperature remains steadily above the set point, the unit turns off. Restart
occurs after the room temperature drops below the set temperature by a few
degrees (default 2 °C). If the fume temperature increases further, beyond a
set limit, the HOT FUMES alarm appears and the unit activates the shutdown
procedure.
6.1.4. TURNING OFF
To turn off the unit, simply press button P3 for about 3 seconds. The auger is
immediately stopped and the fume extractor is brought to high speed making the
message “cooling” appear on the display with flashing of the ON/ OFF LED. The
fume extraction and air ventilation motors will remain on until the
temperature of the unit has dropped sufficiently. At the end of the operation
“OFF” will appear on the display.
During the shutdown phase, the unit cannot be restarted until the fume
temperature has dropped below a preset value for a set time.

6.2.1. MENU MN01 – CLOCK SETTING
Set the time and date by pressing the ON/OFF button and proceeding with the
setting. The electronic board has a lithium battery which allows the internal
clock to last more than 5 years if the board is not connected to the mains
power supply (replacement must be carried out by an authorized Service
Center).
6.2.2. MENU MN02 – CHRONO SETTING
Submenu MN02 – 1 – enable chrono
The menu “MN02 enable chrono” shown on the display allows all the
chronothermost at functions to be enabled and disabled. To enable, press the
ON/OFF button and then press the – button or the + button for the ON or OFF
section. Confirm with the ON/OFF button.
Submenu MN02 – 2 – day prog
Selecting the “MN02-2 day prog” menu, use the ON/OFF button to scroll the
various programming parameters and enable the daily chrono.
It is possible to set two operation bands, the first with START1 Day and STOP1
Day, the second with START2 Day and STOP2 Day, which are delimited by the
times set according to the following table where the OFF setting tells the
clock to ignore the command. To change, use the – (decrease) and + (increase)
buttons, whereas to confirm, press ON/OFF.

The “MN02-3 Weekly Prog.” menu allows the weekly chrono thermostat functions
to be enabled, disabled and set.
The weekly function has 4 independent programs. Also, by setting OFF in the
time field, the clock ignores the corresponding command. The tables below
summarize the weekly program function. To access the next function and confirm
the value, press the ON/OFF button. It is possible to exit the menu by

Submenu MN02 – 4 weekend prog
Used to enable/disable and set the chrono thermostat functions on the weekend
(days 6 and 7, Saturday and Sunday).
To enable, press the ON/OFF button in the item “weekend chrono” and set “on”
using the – button (decrease) or the + button (increase).
▪ To set the operating period for SATURDAY, set the times Start 1 weekend and
Stop 1 weekend.
▪ To set the operating period for SUNDAY, set the times Start 2 weekend and
Stop 2 weekend.

6.2.3. MENU MN03 – LANGUAGE SELECTION
For selecting the desired language. To move to the next language, press the +
button (increase) and to return to the previous one, press the – button
(decrease). To confirm, press ON/OFF.
6.2.4. MENU MN04 – STANDBY FUNCTION
For enabling or disabling the standby mode. Once menu M4 has been selected
with the ON/OFF button, press the – button (decrease) or the + button
(increase) to change the status from ON to OFF and vice versa. For operation,
refer to par. “Standby” 7.8
6.2.5. MENU MN05 – SOUND
For enabling or disabling the board buzzer during alarm signaling. To enable
or disable, press the – or + buttons, and to confirm, press ON/OFF.
6.2.6. MENU MN06 – MANUAL LOADING
The manual loading function can be activated only when the board is OFF, it
allows auger loading for a specified time. After selecting Menu M6, the
message “Press plus” scrolls on the display: press the + button (increase).
The fume fan turns on at maximum speed, the auger turns on (auger LED on) and
they stay on until the time shown on the display ends, or until the ON/OFF
button is pressed.
6.2.7. MENU MN07 – STOVE DATA
On accessing the M7 menu, after pressing the ON/OFF button, some variables
scroll on the display when the unit is working. The table gives examples of
the display of some set parameters.

6.3 OPTIONAL PROBE AND EXTERNAL THERMOSTAT
The standard unit controls the room temperature via a room probe which has the
function of regulating the output according to the set temperature.
Upon request, the user can have an external thermostat or an optional probe
installed by an authorized service center, to be connected directly to the
motherboard, whose sensor can be positioned in the most suitable place.
For any choice it is necessary to contact an authorized technician who will
provide for installation of the optional component, the correct setting of the
software parameters and the functional check.
If the thermostat-chrono thermostat is installed, T-E will also be displayed
on the control panel of the unit.
UNIT USE
7.1 CHECK BEFORE TURNING ON
Before turning on the unit, the following points need to be checked:
▪ make sure to have read and understood the manual;
▪ follow the verbal instructions on operation of the unit provided by the
installer before use;
▪ the hopper must be loaded with pellets with the door closed;
▪ the combustion chamber must be clean;
▪ the brazier must be completely free, clean of any combustion residues,
complete with flame baffle and positioned correctly in the brazier holder
seat;
▪ check the hermetic closure of the fire door;
▪ check the connection of the power cable and switching to ON/1 of the power
line switch.
▪ check the closure of the safety valve, the efficiency of the seal and its
operation.
At first startup, remove all the components that could burn from the firebox
(instructions/label).
The unit must not be operated without its cladding.
Avoid the creation of smoke and unburnt products during lighting and/or normal
operation; an excessive accumulation of unburnt pellets in the brazier must be
eliminated manually before carrying out relighting.
Any lightings done after long idle periods require complete cleaning of the
combustion chamber and the removal of any pellets left in the hopper, in being
damp fuel no longer suitable for combustion.
In case of lighting after a long period of inactivity, restore any remains of
pellets left inside the hopper for some time and carry out complete cleaning
of the combustion chamber.
Each time the unit is turned on, check the correct position of the flame
baffle and the brazier on the brazier holder.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to use the unit without the flame baffle.
Its removal compromises the safety of the product and voids the warranty.
In case of wear or deterioration, request replacement of the part from the
Service Center (Replacement which is not covered by the product warranty in
being a part subject to wear).
7.2 FIRE DOOR OPENING – CLOSING
The unit must operate only and exclusively with the fire door and pellet hopper lid always CLOSED

7.3 PELLET LOADING PROCEDURE
Do not load non-conforming fuels in the hopper.
Do not load foreign bodies such as containers, boxes, bags, metals, etc., in
the hopper.
The use of low-quality and non-compliant pellets damages and compromises unit
operation, voiding the warranty with exclusion of manufacturer liability.
To load pellets, proceed as described:

Note: Loading can be done with the unit turned off or on.
The pellet hopper door can only be opened for the time required to load the
fuel and carry out maintenance.
3| Insert the pellets taking care not to let them come out the hopper.
The use of pellets with characteristics different from those tested by the
technician during first lighting involves a new setting of the stove pellet
loading parameters; this operation is not covered by the warranty.
The lid of the pellet hopper must always remain closed, it must only be opened
when loading fuel.
Do not to place the pellet bag directly on the lid of the unit!
Always use a scoop to load the hopper; do not rub or place loads on the pellet
door and/or lid.
Always keep the support surface of the pellet hopper door clean.
Frequently check the condition of the pellet door seal; in case of
deterioration, contact the authorized service center.
The bags of pellets must be placed at a safe distance from the unit.
CLEANING
8.1 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Cleaning the unit is very important to prevent: poor combustion, deposits of
ash and unburnt products in the brazier, as well as reduced heating
efficiency.
Cleaning operations for all parts must be carried out with the unit
electrically disconnected and completely cold.
Clean the brazier regularly every time the unit is lit and/or whenever
reloading pellets.
Dispose of cleaning waste, respecting the applicable local regulations.
8.2 MAINTENANCE TABLE
The following summarizes the control and/or maintenance interventions useful
for correct use and operation of the unit, to be carried out by the USER
and/or by an AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER.

The seals of the pellet door, fire door, air intake manifold and the fume exhaust ensure correct operation of the unit. These components must be periodically checked by the user, if worn or damaged they must be replaced immediately by an authorized service center.
8.3 CLEANING OPERATIONS
8.3.1. BRAZIER – BRAZIER HOLDER CLEANING
To clean the brazier, proceed as described:

brazier holder.
Note: It is advisable to use a suitable vacuum cleaner.
Clean daily to ensure perfect combustion conditions, as the brazier holes
allow the passage of combustion air.
Also check that the combustion air passage and the internal baffle (if
present) of the brazier holder are free from combustion residues and any ash.
The brazier must rest on the brazier holder and precisely on the entire annular band without having any air passage openings.
8.3.2. CLEANING THE ASH PAN
To clean the ash pan, proceed as described:

The ash pan can be cleaned every 2-3 days depending on unit use.
8.3.3. CLEANING THE GLASS
To clean the glass, proceed as described:

2 | The glass can be cleaned on the outside and inside using a damp cloth and |
specific non-abrasive detergents.

NB: When doing this, make sure the seals around the glass and the seal on the door are in good condition; failure to check these seals can compromise the unit’s operation. However, poor quality pellets can cause the glass to blacken and/or deteriorate.
Do not turn on the unit with the GLASS cracked or damaged.
8.3.4. CLEANING THE AIR INTAKE PIPE
Dust can accumulate inside the inlet pipe, which over time can limit the flow
of combustion air: periodically, every 4 – 6 months of operation, carry out a
check and, if necessary, clean the inside using suitable equipment (air blower
or suitable brushes).
8.3.5. CLEANING THE ROOM FAN
Any deposits of dust on the fan blades lead to an unbalance of the impeller
causing an increase in noise during operation.
Therefore it is necessary to provide for adequate cleaning to be carried out
only by an authorized service center.
8.3.6. CLEANING THE FUME EXTRACTOR AND COMBUSTION CHAMBER
The combustion chamber must be cleaned at least once a year, removing all
combustion residues from the internal baffles and floodways. This operation
must be carried out by an authorized service center.
Any bumping or forcing can damage the fume extractor, making it noisy during
operation, therefore it is advisable to have this operation carried out by
qualified personnel.
The inspection doors have seals, so before refitting them make sure the seals
are not worn and/or damaged.
8.3.7. VARIOUS CHECKS
When the hopper is completely empty, unplug the unit’s power cable and remove
the residues (dust, chips, etc.) from the hopper, before filling it.
All the sealing gaskets fitted on the pieces and components involved in
maintenance (fume extractors, inspection doors, exhaust manifolds, fire doors,
etc.) must be replaced by the authorized service center at the time of the
intervention. At the end of maintenance work, check the tightness of the
seals/gaskets and the correct operation of the unit.
All maintenance operations must be carried out with the unit cold and the power supply disconnected, using a suitable vacuum cleaner and tools for thorough cleaning.
SERVICE MESSAGE MAINTENANCE
Every 1800 operating hours or 2000 kg of pellets burned the unit alerts, via a “SERVICE” message, the request for maintenance (not under warranty) to be planned with an authorized service center, which provides for complete maintenance and message resetting.
Before any intervention, make sure the power supply is disconnected and that
the unit is completely cold.
Failure to comply with the above indications can compromise the safety of the
unit and may void the right to the warranty conditions.
REQUEST FOR INTERVENTION AND SPARE PARTS
To request assistance and/or spare parts, contact your dealer, local importer
or the nearest Authorized Service Center, providing the following details:
▪ unit model,
▪ serial number,
▪ date of purchase,
▪ list of spare parts,
▪ information on faults or malfunctions encountered.
Interventions on components must be carried out by authorized and/or qualified
personnel.
Before any intervention, make sure all electrical connections are disconnected
and that the unit is cold.
Only use original spare parts.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
11.1 SETTING ASIDE FOR PERIODS OF INACTIVITY
If the unit is not being used for long periods (and/or at the end of each
season), proceed as described:

11.2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT
Scrapping and disposal of the stove are the sole responsibility of the owner
who must act in compliance with the laws in force in the Country regarding
safety, respect and protection of the environment. At the end of its useful
life, the product must not be disposed of together with municipal waste. It
can be taken to the special recycling centers set up by the municipal
administrations, or to dealers that provide this service. Disposing of the
product in a differentiated way helps to avoid possible negative consequences
for the environment and health, resulting from inappropriate disposal, and
allows the its constituent materials to be recovered in order to obtain
significant saving in terms of energy and resources.
In particular, the electrical and electronic components must be separated and
disposed of at centers authorized for this activity, as per the WEEE directive
2012/19/EU and subsequent updates as well as the related national and/ or
local transpositions.
The following table and the relevant exploded view give the main components
that can be found in the unit and the indications for their correct separation
and disposal at the end of their life.

centers, as per the indications of the WEEE directive 2012/19/EU and related
national transposition.
F NON-RECYCLABLE COMPONENTS
Seals, rubber, silicone or fiber pipes, plastic Dispose in unsorted waste.
11.3 INFORMATION FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT CONTAINING BATTERIES AND ACCUMULATORS
**** This symbol, which appears on the product, on batteries or accumulators
or on their packaging or documentation, indicates that, at the end of their
useful life, the product and any batteries or accumulators must not be
collected, recovered or disposed of together with household waste.
Improper management of waste electrical and electronic equipment, batteries or
accumulators can cause the release of dangerous substances contained in the
products. In order to avoid any damage to the environment or to health, the
user is requested to separate this equipment, and/or the batteries or
accumulators, from other types of waste and take it to the municipal
collection center.
It is possible to ask the distributor to collect the waste electrical and
electronic equipment under the conditions and according to the procedures
established by Leg. Decree 49/2014.
Separate collection and proper treatment of electrical and electronic
equipment, batteries and accumulators helps the conservation of natural
resources, respect for the environment and ensures the protection of health.
For further information on the collection centers for waste electrical and
electronic equipment, batteries and accumulators, contact the public
Authorities competent for issuing permits.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Alarms are indicated by an acoustic signal (if activated) and a message on the
control panel.
In case of an alarm shutdown the unit, eliminate the cause and restart the
unit according to the normal procedure described in this manual. Every alarm
condition causes unit shutdown. The alarms which can appear on the control
panel, with causes and cures, are listed below:
