Product Usage Instructions:
- Prior to installation, ensure that cabinetry and servicing specifications have been met and clearances have been considered. Refer to the Planning Guide for detailed information.
- Create a 615x390mm cutout in the base of the cavity for the external blower. Make sure the cutout is oriented correctly for the selected ducting option.
- Unpack all products and accessories, ensuring that everything is present. Carefully remove products from cartons and set them aside on a protected surface. Dispose of packaging responsibly. Test electrical connections of all products before proceeding with installation.
- Prepare the products by removing the foam tape backing. Attach the downdraft outlet and backing plate using the supplied nuts and washers. Pay attention to the ducting orientation. If necessary, lift the inner box out of the chassis and refit the downdraft alignment guides on the opposite side. Make sure the grease filter faces the outlet.
- Gently lower the first product into the cutout. Align the rear of the joining bracket to the back edge of the cutout and slot it into place. Fit the cover onto the joining bracket before sliding it under the adjacent product.
- If multiple products are being installed, gently lower them and the joining strips into the cutout as required.
- Slot the T spacers between the products to achieve even spacing. For flush installations, place shims around the outer edges of the cutout to ensure even spacing around the product set. Use shims on top of the product to determine the required thickness for a level installation and slot them under the products as needed.
- Fit securing brackets to the base of each cooktop. It is recommended to use a minimum of two brackets per cooktop.
