HUBBARDTON FORGE 344830 Shadowbox Post Light
Product Information
The G25 Shadowbox Post Light 344830 is a lighting fixture designed for
installation on posts or piers. It comes with various component parts,
including a post/pier mount (sold separately), J
bolts, flat washers, split washers, hex nuts, cover cap (sold separately), set
screws, fixture, rubber pads, glass shield, and decorative glass. The fixture
should be installed properly to ensure safety and prevent personal injury or
property damage. It is recommended to have the installation done by a licensed
electrician and in accordance with applicable installation codes.
Product Usage Instructions
CAUTION: Before starting the installation process, ensure that the power is switched off at the main breaker box.
Site Preparation
- Run appropriate wiring to the location where the fixture will be installed, leaving enough excess wire to reach the top of the post plus 12 inches.
- Pour a flat and level concrete base with the wiring emerging at the center. Insert J bolts so that approximately 1 of the bolts areexposed above the concrete. Follow the template provided on th last page o theinstructions for proper positioning of the J bolts. Allow the concrete to cure before proceeding with the installation.
Installation
- Position the post/pier mount over the J bolts, feeding the supply wire up through the post. Secure the post using flat washers, split washers, and hex nuts.
- If desired, place the optional cover cap over the post to conceal the mounting hardware.
- Attach the four rubber pads to the inside of the fixture. Trim the pads if necessary to fit inside the fixture.
- Connect the fixture wires to the supply wires using appropriate wire connectors. Match black to black (or smooth), white to white (or ribbed), and bare copper or green to bare copper or green. Ensure that the wire connectors are twisted on securely and no bare wire is exposed.
- Place the fixture onto the post, making sure all wiring is tucked inside the post and no wires are pinched between the post and the fixture. Secure the fixture with set screws.
Installing Glass
- Unpack the glass shield and decorative glass.
- Install a bulb (not included) into the socket.
- Slide the glass shield over the bulb until it rests on the fixture.
- Place the decorative glass down into the fixture.
- Restore electricity at the main breaker. Please note that the bulb is not included with the product, and it is important to not exceed the maximum wattage noted on the fixture. Only use recommended bulbs with the fixture.

electrician. This product must be installed in accordance with applicable
installation code(s), by a person familiar with the construction and operation
of the product and the hazards involved.*
Caution: Do not exceed maximum wattage noted on fixture. Use only recommended bulbs with fixture. Please Note: After installation extra hardware and accessories are possible; our kits are used on multiple products. To Install (Figure 1)
CAUTION BE SURE POWER IS OFF AT THE MAIN BREAKER BOX PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
NOTE Fixture, Post and Cover Cap each sold separately. SITE PREPERATION

Run appropriate wiring to the site of the fixture, leaving enough excess wire to reach the top of the post, plus 12 inches.

Pour flat and level concrete base with wiring emerging at the center. Insert J bolts (B) so approximately 1″ of the bolts are exposed above the concrete. Position J bolts according to the template on the last page of these instructions. Allow concrete to cure before installing fixture.
INSTALLATION:
NOTE: Post may be cut to desired height before installation. -
Position post (A) over J bolts (B), feeding supply wire up though the post and secure using flat washers (C), split washers (D) and hex nuts (E).

Place optional cover cap (sold separately) (F) over post (A) to conceal mounting hardware.

Attach the four rubber pads (I) to the inside of fixture (H).NOTE: IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO TRIM THE PADS TO FIT IN-SIDE THE FIXTURE

Connect fixture wires to supply wires using appropriate wire connecto(not provided), black to black (or smooth), white to white (or ribbed) and bare copper or green to bare copper or gree
CAUTION: MAKE SURE WIRE CONNECTORS ARE TWISTED ON SECURELY AND NO BARE WIRE IS EXPOSE -
Place fixture (H) onto post (A), carefully tucking all wiring down into post and making sure no wires are pinched between the post and the fixture. Secure with set screws (G).

Follow steps on next page to install glass.
To Install Figure 2
- Unpack glass shield(J) and decorative glass (K).
- Install bulb (not included) into socket.
- Slide glass shield (J) over bulb until it rest on fixture (H).
- Place decorative glass (K) down into fixture (H).
- Restore electricity at main breaker.
USE THIS TEMPLATE TO POSITION J BOLTS AND WIREWAY IN THE CONCRETE SLAB PRIOR TO INSTALLING OUTDOOR POST-MOUNTED LIGHTING FIXTURE.
