AMETEK Cyclops L Handheld Portable Non Contact IR Thermometer

Product Information

The Cyclops L is a family of high-precision portable non-contact thermometers. It comes in four models: Cyclops 100L, Cyclops 160L, Cyclops 390L, and Cyclops 055L (with fixed focus). The thermometers are designed to measure temperature without physical contact, providing accurate readings in various applications.

Thermometer Description

• 1. LCD display panel: Shows the measured temperature and other information.
• 2. Keypad: Used for navigating through the thermometer’s settings and functions.
• 3. Optical focusing ring (not available in Cyclops 055L): Adjusts the focus to bring the target into clear view.
• 4. Protective window: Protects the internal components of the thermometer.
• 5. Lens cap: Covers the lens to prevent dust and damage when not in use.
• 6. ON/OFF buttons: Turn the thermometer on and off.
• 7. Trigger: Pressing the trigger initiates temperature measurement.
• 8. USB connector: Allows connectivity to a computer or other devices.
• 9. Tripod mounting hole: Enables mounting the thermometer on a tripod for stability.
• 10. Adjustable wrist strap (in packaging): Provides added security when holding the thermometer.
• 11. Protective cover: Shields the thermometer from external elements during storage or transport.
• 12. Adjustable eyepiece: Allows the user to adjust the focus according to their preference.
• 13. Battery compartment cover: Houses the batteries required for operation.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Insert the battery by following the instructions provided in the user manual.
2. Remove the lens cap before using the thermometer.
3. Switch on the thermometer using the designated ON button.
4. View the target through the viewfinder and adjust the focus using the optical focusing ring (if available).
5. The target being measured will be indicated by a circle in the viewfinder. Ensure it is in focus.
6. To take a temperature measurement, press the trigger button.
7. The measured temperature will be displayed on both the viewfinder and the side display.

9. Alternatively, you can download the AMETEK LAND CYCLOPS LOGGER mobile software from the Google Play Store.
