WHAT’S IN THE BOX
Included in your Fly6 box is everything you need to go riding now!
FLY6 OVERVIEW
TIP
Light Button – When Fly6 is powered on, a quick press of the power button will
scroll through the different light modes.
TIP
Courtesy Dimmer Button –When Fly6 is powered on, a quick press of the courtesy
dimmer button will scroll through the different light brightness
modes.
CONNECT & CHARGE
With the supplied USB cable, connect your Fly6 to a PC or Mac. Fly6 will be visible on your computer. Your Fly6 charge light will glow Red while charging and then turn off indicating full charge.
POWER AND BATTERY LIFE
Fly6 has audible alerts when the unit is turned on/off which denote the
battery charge level.
Should the Fly6 battery deplete beyond 5% during operation, 3 long beeps will
sound. Video and audio functions will turn off and the light will continue to
operate on remaining power for up to 1.5 hours.
NOTE
Audible sounds are only a guide to Fly6 charge levels.
OPERATING YOUR FLY6
Important: Before operating, ensure the USB cover is firmly
closed/sealed.

Press and hold for 1 second to turn Fly6 on/off.

Quick press to cycle through flashing sequences.

Quick press to cycle through brightness modes.
NOTE
Fly6 will remember your last settings.
MOUNTING FLY6
Fly6 can be mounted on your seat post or aero seat post.
To mount your Fly6 follow these simple steps:

Insert either standard or aero length Velcro strap and pull all the way through until clasp meets housing, ensuring silicon-coated surface is facing outwards to grip your seat post.

Select the appropriate spacer for your bike (0 degree, 7.5 degree, or aero spacer) and place between Fly6 and the seat post, making sure the Fly6 is fully vertical.

While holding Fly6 against the seat post, wrap strap around and thread through the clasp.

Pull strap tight, check Fly6 is secure, then double back the strap and secure on Velcro.
INCIDENT PROTECTION
In the event of an incident, Fly6 is equipped with a safeguard to ensure your
important data is not lost.
If you are knocked from your bike and Fly6 tilts past 60 degrees for more than
5 seconds, 3 quick beeps will sound indicating incident mode is active. Fly6
will record for a further 60 minutes before saving and powering off with 3
loud beeps.
NOTE
To achieve optimal performance, Cycliq recommends you regularly perform a full
overwrite of your MicroSD card using SD Formatter –
www.sdcard.org/downloads (free software
download).
SET DATE AND TIME

Connect Fly6 to a PC/Mac.

Fly6 will appear on your computer.

Open Fly6 in your file explorer.

Using a text editing application (Text edit on Mac or Notepad on Windows) open CONFIG.TXT

Modify from a ‘0‘ to a ‘1’ in the 1st row.

Modify date to suit the following format:
Sep 24 2016 12:56:00 -
Save the file.

Safely remove your Fly6 from your computer.

Turn on to have the settings take effect.
MICRO SD CARD
Included with your Fly6 is an 8GB class 10 MicroSD card which has been pre-
installed. Fly6 supports up to 32GB class 10 MicroSD cards.
NOTE
To achieve optimal performance, Cycliq recommends you regularly perform a full

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM | SOLUTION |
---|---|
Fly6 powers down unexpectedly | Idle mode prevents the battery from depleting |
if you have forgotten to turn off Fly6 after 15 minutes with no movement.
Records for only 1 hour| Incident capture protection mode will activate if
Fly6 is tilted over more than 60 degrees from vertical for more than 5
seconds. Your Fly6 will then turn off completely after 1 hour.
3 loud beeps| Battery has depleted to 5% or less. Only the camera and audio
functions are shut down leaving the flashing lights functioning, which can
last up to 1.5 hours.
OR
Incident capture mode was triggered 1 hour ago and the device has just powered
down due to the function completing.
Fly6 won’t charge| Try an alternate USB charge cable.
