IONIC CONDITIONING
- Many aspects of modern living, including air conditioning, contact with man-made fibers & air pollution add to the build-up of static electricity in your hair. Even simply brushing & towel-drying your hair can increase these levels. This static charge causes the scales, or cuticles of the hair, to push hair strands apart, resulting in a rough hair surface. Consequently, your hair may have a dull appearance. High levels of static charge cause your hair to become ‘flyaway’ & difficult to style.
- The advanced internal ionic generator conditions hair by emitting negative ions to reduce static, leaving your hair silky & shiny with reduced frizz.
KERATIN INFUSED TECHNOLOGY
The keratin oils infused in the detachable barrels contain proteins & vitamins
that are effortlessly passed onto the hair cuticles to assist in the
protection & strength of your hair, while the ceramic coating helps keep your
hair looking healthy & shiny by maintaining even heat during the styling
process. Static is reduced by quickly sealing the hair cuticle layer, ensuring
minimal frizz making your hair easier to manage.
HOW TO USE THE SHINE ENVY ROTATING HOT-AIR STYLER
IMPORTANT:
Hair that has been heavily bleached or chemically treated should only use the
low heat setting on this product. Please consult your hairdresser on using
heated appliances if you have any concerns about the condition of your hair.
CAUTION:
Take care not to direct the airflow directly onto the skin (e.g. scalp, neck
ears, face, etc.) as hot air from the styler can, particularly if held too
close, cause discomfort or even burn.
BEFORE USING
- Remove all packaging & point of sale labels before use.
- Remove plastic cover from plug before use (used to protect it from damage during transportation).
FITTING & REMOVING THE BRUSH HEADS
To attach a brush head to the body of the hot air styler, line up the guides
of the two parts & press until you hear a click. To remove the brush head,
press on the unlocking buttons located on the sides of the hot air styler &
gently pull the brush head off.
PROTECTIVE BRUSH COVERS
Brush covers for the 50mm brush head & 38mm brush head are included for
protection & easy storage.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Wash, condition & towel dry your hair. Ensure your hair is slightly damp, combed through, & tangle-free.
-
Make sure the switch is set to the off (‘0’) setting before plugging into a 230-240V~ suitable power outlet.
-
Divide your hair into sections, between 2.5cm – 5cm wide & no more than 1cm thick (if you have thick hair make the section around 5mm thick).
-
Attach the 38mm bristle brush (for styling shorter hair) or the (50mm bristle brush) for styling medium to longer hair & switch to the high heat/speed (II) setting for initial drying.
-
Place the styler under the section of hair, close to the roots & brush through the section to remove tangles (without brush rotating).
-
Switch to the low heat/speed (I) setting for further drying & styling then move the brush through the hair section (hair is draped over top of brush), towards the ends.
-
When you reach the end of the hair section, start to rotate the brush away from your head by pressing & holding the appropriate rotation direction (‘ ’) setting.
NB: As you do this, it is important to resist the rotation of the brush by pulling the brush downwards. The brush should be rotating through the section of your hair without the hair becoming wound round the brush head (if you are holding the styler with the correct tension against the hair). -
To release the section of hair, press & hold the opposite rotation but-ton.
-
Repeat this through all sections.
-
To finish, switch to the cool (‘ ’) setting to set the style for longer lasting results after drying.
NB: The brush does not rotate on this setting. Allow the styler to cool, before placing protective brush covers over the brush heads to protect while stored away.
BRUSH ROTATION & TEMPERATURE/SPEED SETTINGS
- Your styler has a two-way rotation that can be used when styling (not on the cool setting) .
- To make the brush head rotate press the switch marked on the upper handle. These will make the brush head rotate in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction.
- The styler has 2 heat/speed settings & a cool setting. When the styler is set on the high heat setting the brush head will rotate faster. When the styler is set on the low heat setting the brush head will rotate slower.
USAGE TIPS
- It may take several attempts to perfect the technique of using a rotating hot air styler. If the brush spins too quickly & hair wraps around the brush head, simply release the rotation button & remove from the hair. Use the low heat setting (low brush speed) & practice rotating the brush on the lower ends of your hair until you feel comfortable with the styling action. If hair continues to wrap around the barrel, you need to increase the downward tension.
- It’s ESSENTIAL to section your hair before styling & to style section-by-section to get the best results.
HOW TO STYLE WITH THE SHINE ENVY
-
ROTATING HOT-AIR STYLER STRAIGHT
Create a smooth straight look by dividing your hair into sections & slowly glide down the hair section & curl under to smooth the hair cuticle. -
VOLUME
Create tousled natural-looking waves for that finished touch, by loosely wrapping the sections around the brush. For more bounce in your waves tightly wrap the hair sections for longer. Once air-styled, finger comb to arrange your hair as required. -
EXPERT TIP
Set your style with the ‘cool air’ setting & finish with a spritz of light hold hair spray, for extra hold if needed. -

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will cause the styler to overheat. The
rear filter should be checked & cleaned on a regular basis – to help maintain
optimum performance & prevent overheating.
Unplug the styler & allow to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
- Holding the handle of your styler firmly, click down to open the rear filter at the base of the styler.
- Using a soft brush, clean any hair & other debris that may build up in the filter.
- Replace the rear filter by pushing back into position
If overheating occurs, an automatic safety device will shut the styler or the heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If the styler or heat turns off, unplug the cord & allow the styler to cool for 15 minutes before restarting. Make sure the air vents are 100% clean .
