- Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it doesn’t work properly or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position aquarium stand and tank or the fountain to one side of a wall-mounted outlet to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug. A “drip-loop” (fig. A) should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to an outlet. The “drip-loop” is the part of the cord below the level of the outlet or the connector if an extension cord is used, which prevents water travelling along the cord and coming in contact with the outlet. If the plug or socket does get wet, DON’T unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to appliance. Then unplug and examine for presence of water in the outlet.

- Before connecting the heater to the power grid, check that the cable and the heater are not physically damaged.
- The heater has a type Z cable link. The cable and the plug cannot be substituted or repaired; in case of damage the entire product needs to be replaced.

- Attach the suction cups to the heater. If desired, decorate it by applying the included sticker to the front surface .

The SCUBA CONTACTLESS heater increases the water temperature up to the SET
temperature.
LED ON: heater in operation
LED OFF: SET temperature reached.
The factory setting is at 25°C (77°F). The heater is adjusted using the
CONTRALL APP, which can be downloaded from the Play Store (Android) or Apple
Store (iOS), using the NFC connection on your Smartphone. Download and launch
the CONTRALL APP. Add the heater to MY DEVICES. Following the instructions of
the APP, bring the top of the heater in contact with the NFC reader on your
smartphone so that communication is activated which will allow you to read,
set or change the desired temperature.
With some Smartphone models it will be possible to activate communication
through the glass of the tank, with others it will be necessary to remove the
heater from the tank in order to bring it closer to the Smartphone. Always
unplug the heater before removing it from the tub. Smartphone-heater
communication is activated even when the heater is not connected to power.
Consult or download the detailed guide for using the APP and adjusting the
heater which can be reached from the following QR code.
There may be a tolerance of +/- 1°C (+/-2°F) between the set temperature and that measured in the aquarium according to the type (open or closed), the volume of water, the positioning and exposure of the tubes, the location of the heater, water movement within the tubes, etc. When the heater is removed from the water or when the SET temperature is reached, the electronic safety control intervenes and automatically switches off the heater. If the heater does not reach the SET temperature, you are probably using a heater with too low power compared to the volume of the aquarium. After having monitored the water temperature for some days, by using the post-calibration function, with ContrALL APP, it will be possible to re-calibrate the heater according to the values detected in the aquarium. Follow the manual information in the QR code. For more safety, it is advisable to check the water temperature regularly.
MAINTENANCE
The heater does not require maintenance, except for periodic cleaning of
theglass from any incrustations of salts and algae. To remove encrustations do
not use detergents, solvents or acids, but only water and vinegar or SICCE
PUMP CLEAN
ATTENTION: under no circumstances try to disassemble the heater or pull on the
power cable.
