Congratulations and thank you for purchasing this Schwaiger Product. This user manual is an integral part of this product. It contains important information on commissioning and handling.
This user manual is intended to assist you in using the product. Read through the instructions for use carefully. Store this guide safely throughout the product’s entire service life and pass it on to any subsequent users or owners. Check that the supplied package is complete and ensure that none of the parts are defective or damaged.

Intended use

The product is designed exclusively for receiving radio stations via DAB+ and from the FM frequency band, as well as for playing back audio signals played via Bluetooth® or AUX IN from a source device. The product is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use.
Only use the product as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in property damage.

GENERAL SAFETY AND WARNING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Faulty electrical installation or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shock.

  • Do not operate the product if it shows visible damage or if the power cord is defective.
  • Always check the product for damage before use. Damaged electrical equipment as well as kinked power cords or bare wires increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not open the housing but entrust the repair to specialists. Contact a specialist workshop for this purpose. Liability and warranty claims are excluded in the event of repairs carried out independently, improper connection or incorrect operation.
  • Do not disassemble the product into its individual parts. Improper handling can lead to electric shock and malfunction.
  • Only parts that correspond to the original device data may be used for repairs. This product contains electrical and mechanical parts which are essential for protection against sources of danger.
  • Never immerse the product in water.
  • Never touch the product or the connecting cable or the mains plug with wet hands.
  • Never pull the mains plug out of a socket by the connecting cable, but always hold the mains plug.
  • Keep the product away from open flames and hot surfaces.
  • Position the product and the connecting cable so that it does not become a trip hazard.
  • Do not bend the connecting cable and do not place it over sharp edges.
  • Never operate the product in wet areas or in the rain.
  • Do not expose the product to rain or extreme weather conditions e.g., sub-zero temperatures, hail, extreme heat.
  • Never place the product in such a way that it can fall into water.
  • Never reach for an electrical device if it has fallen into water.
  • Make sure that no liquid gets into the product and, if necessary, dry the product thoroughly before using it again.
  • Ensure that children do not insert any objects into the product.
  • When you are not using the product, cleaning it or if a malfunction occurs, always switch off the product and disconnect the power plug.
  • Keep the product at least 20 cm away from pacemakers and other medical devices. Radio waves can affect the function of pacemakers and other medical devices

Hazards for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities (for example, partially disabled persons, elderly persons with reduced physical and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (for example, older children).

  • This product can be used by children aged from eight years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • Keep children younger than eight years away from the product and the connecting cable.
  • Do not leave the product unattended during operation.
  • Do not allow children to play with the packaging film. Children can get caught in it while playing and suffocate.

Improper handling of the product and battery may cause an explosion or fire.

  • The battery is permanently installed in the case; it cannot be replaced.
  • Keep the product away from water, other liquids, open flames, and hot surfaces.
  • Do not cover the product with objects or clothing.
  • Ensure that the product is adequately ventilated. Keep a distance of at least 5 cm from the rear panel of the device and at least 1 cm from both sides to walls or other objects.
  • Do not place open fire sources, such as lighted candles, on or near the product.
  • Keep a distance of at least 5 cm from easily flammable materials.
  • Charge the battery of the device regularly, even if you do not use it for a longer period of time (about every 3 months). Otherwise, the battery may become deeply discharged and permanently unusable.
  • Due to the battery technology used, no previous discharge of the battery is necessary during the charging process, so it can be recharged regardless of the charge status.
  • Place the product on a surface that is not sensitive to heat during the charging process. Slight heating during charging is normal.
  • Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves in this case.
  • Liquids leaking from batteries are chemically very aggressive. Objects or surfaces that come into contact with them can be severely damaged.

Continuous listening at high volume can cause hearing damage.

  • Prevent damage to health and avoid listening at high volume levels for long periods of time.
  • Always keep a certain distance from the product at high volumes and never keep your ears directly to the speaker.

NOTE:

Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.

  • Place and operate the product on an easily accessible, level, dry, heat-resistant, vibration-free, and sufficiently stable base to prevent the product from falling. Do not place the product at the edge or on the edge of the base.
  • Never place the product on or near hot surfaces (e.g., stove tops).
  • Do not bring the product into contact with hot parts.
  • The power outlet must be located near the product and must be easily accessible.
  • All multimedia devices connected to the product must comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive.
  • Unplug the product during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  • Never expose the product to high temperature (heating, etc.) or weather (rain, etc.).
  • Never pour liquid into the product.
  • Never immerse the product in water for cleaning and do not use a steam cleaner for cleaning. The product may otherwise be damaged.
  • Do not use the product if the plastic components of the product are cracked or deformed. Replace damaged components only with suitable original spare parts.

OPERATION IN DETAIL

Check product and scope of delivery

Risk of damage!

If you open the packaging carelessly with a sharp knife or other pointed objects, the product can be damaged quickly.

Be very careful when opening it.

  1. Remove the product from the packaging.
  2. Check if the delivery is complete.
  3. Check whether the product or the individual parts show any damage. If this is the case, do not use the product. Contact the hotline or e-mail address specified in this instruction manual.

Charging the product

It is recommended to fully charge the integrated battery before using the product for the first time.

NOTE:

RISK OF DAMAGE!

Charge the product only from grounded outlets rated 100 – 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. If you are unsure of the power supply at the installation site, check with the relevant power supplier.

  1. Place the product on a dry, horizontal, and heat-insensitive surface.
  2. Unwrap the power cord connected to the mains connection (13) completely.
  3. Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible and properly installed socket outlet (protective contact type F CEE 7/4 or Euro type C CEE 7/17).

If the product is switched on during the charging process, the symbol Function icon flashes on the LCD display (6) and indicates the charging progress. The charging time is approx. 4.5 hours.

Then disconnect the power plug. The product can now be used as a mobile device and transported using the carrying handle (18).

Switching the product on/off

  • To turn the product on, press the On/Off button (1) on the top of the product.
  • To switch the product off, press the On/Off button (1) again.

First start-up

  • Switch on the product as described above.
  • The LCD display (6) then lights up and the time starts flashing (00:00).
  • The product will now perform an automatic station scan in DAB+ mode. Meanwhile, the text „Scanning“ appears in the display and a bar shows the progress of the scan and the number of stations found.
  • After the station scan is completed, the first radio station found in alphanumeric order is played. If no radio station was found, the text „No DAB Station“ appears in the display. In this case, follow the steps described below in the section „DAB+ radio operation“.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Adjust volume

Turn the volume control knob (3) to the right in the direction of Vol+ to increase the volume, or to the left in the direction of Vol- to decrease the volume. While adjusting the volume, the current level is always shown in the LCD display (6).
To mute the volume completely, press the volume control knob (3) once. The text „Volume muted“ appears briefly in the LCD display (6). To unmute the volume, press the volume control knob (3) again.
The product always starts with the last volume setting after switching on.

Select radio station

The product automatically creates a station list in DAB+ mode with all radio stations found in the station scan. Use the tuner control knob (9) to scroll through the list of found radio stations.
Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right in the direction of Tun+ to move to the next radio station found or to the left in the direction of Tun- to move to the previous radio station. Press the tuner control knob (9) to play the selected radio station.
The list of stations found is sorted alphanumerically.

Select playback source

The product has a total of four different playback modes: DAB+ radio reception, FM radio reception, Bluetooth® and AUX IN.
To select between the individual playback modes, press the mode button (2) once or several times until the desired playback mode is shown in the LCD display (6).

DAB+ radio operation

First switch on the product as described above. Then press the mode button (2) once or several times until you have selected the DAB+ radio reception playback mode. The text „DAB“ appears next to the time in the LCD display (6).

Full channel scan

This function will start an automatic scan for all available radio stations from the DAB+ frequency range (Band III).

To perform a complete station search, proceed as follows.

  1. Select the playback mode „DAB“ as described above.
  2. Press the menu button (4) to enter the DAB+ radio reception submenu.
  3. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left until the item „Full Scan“ appears in the display.
  4. Press the tuner control knob (9) once to start a full station search.
  5. During the scan, the text „Scan“ appears in the display and a bar shows the progress of the scan and the number of stations found.
  6.  After the station scan has been completed, the last radio station played is played again. All other stations found are stored in the station list alphanumerically.

Please note that the reception of radio stations via DAB+ may vary in different regions and not all stations may be available. To improve radio reception, change the location of the product or the orientation of the antenna (12) if necessary

To access the station list of the DAB+ radio stations found, turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or to the left while in DAB+ playback mode. Then select the desired station by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once. The selected station will now be played back.

Manual channel search

This function allows you to manually search for specific DAB+ radio stations by their channel assignment. To do this, proceed as follows.

  1. Press the menu button (4) to enter the submenu of the DAB+ radio reception
  2. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left until the item „Manual tune“ appears in the display.
  3. Press the tuner control knob (9) once to go to the manual channel search.
  4. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left until you reach the desired channel. Then select the channel by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.

Save station

In DAB+ mode, you can store up to 40 radio stations on the preset buttons for fast access. To do this, follow the steps described below:

  • Select a radio station from the station list as described above.
  • To store the station, you have found directly in programme presets 1, 2 or 3, press and hold the preset 1 button (11), preset 2 button (10) or preset 3 button (7) for about 1 second. The selected programme memory location and the text „stored“ appear briefly in the display. The radio station has now been successfully stored on the selected preset button.
  • If you want to store a found station on one of the programme memory locations 1 to 40, press and hold the preset 4+ button (8) for about 1 second. The selection list of presets 1 to 40 appears. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left to select the desired preset. Then confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9). The selected programme memory location and the text „stored“ appear briefly in the display. The radio station has now been successfully stored in the selected memory location.

Recalling a stored station

To recall a stored DAB+ station, press the corresponding preset button on the product. You can play the stations stored in presets 1, 2 and 3 directly by briefly pressing the preset 1 button (11), preset 2 button (10) or preset 3 button (7) once. The station stored there is then played back. To call up a station stored in presets 1 to 40, briefly press the preset 4+ button (8) once. This takes you to the complete station memory list. Now turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left to select the desired station. Then confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9). The selected station is then played back.
If you select a programme memory location that is not occupied, the text „Preset empty“ appears briefly in the display and the last radio station played is played.

Remove stations

This function allows you to clear your stored station list of any unavailable radio stations and delete them.

  1. Press the menu button (4) to enter the DAB+ radio reception submenu.
  2. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or to the left until the item „Prune“ appears in the display. Select it by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  3. Now turn the tuner control knob (9) once to the left to select „Yes“ and continue deleting unavailable stations. If you select „No“, the process is cancelled. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9).

DRC

DRC (Dynamic Range Compression) is supported by some DAB+ radio stations to adjust the volume of different audio signals. Weak signals can be amplified for a higher volume or loud signals can be reduced to be played quieter.

  1. Press the menu button (4) to enter the submenu of the DAB+ radio reception.
  2. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or to the left until the item „DRC“ appears in the display. Select it by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  3. Then turn the tuner control knob (9) to choose between the options „DRC off“, „DRC high“ and „DRC low“. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9).

The option „DRC high“ gives you more adjustment, while the setting „DRC low“ gives you less adjustment of the volume.

Display modes

In DAB+ playback mode, in addition to the time and the station currently being played back, other useful information can be shown in the LCD display (6). To select the different display modes, press the tuner control knob (9) once or several times.

  • DLS (Dynamic Label Segment): The radio station broadcasts additional information about the current programme, e.g., title, artist, programme note, homepage, e-mail address, hotline, genre
  • Frequency: Shows the current channel number and frequency of the station
  • Signal strength: Shows the strength of the received signal by bars
  • Signal error: Shows the current error rate of the signal; Caution: DAB+ reception is no longer possible at a rate of 30 or higher
  • Data transmission rate
  • Time
  • Date

The information displayed may vary depending on the reception quality and the radio station.

FM radio operation

First switch on the product as described above. Then press the mode button (2) once or several times until you have selected FM radio reception playback mode. The LCD display (6) shows the text „FM“ next to the time.

Manual station search

To search for radio stations manually by their frequency, turn the tuner control knob (9) in FM mode to the left or to the right until you reach the desired station frequency. The station found is now played back.

Automatic station search

You can also search for an FM radio station automatically. To do this, press and hold the tuner control knob (9) for about 1 second. The product now automatically searches the FM frequency band for the next available station. The search ends automatically as soon as an available station is found. This is then played back.
You can also determine whether the frequency band should be searched upwards or downwards for a station.
To do this, perform a short manual station search. Depending on whether the frequency band is to be searched upwards or downwards, first turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right. Then press and hold the tuner control knob (9) again for about 1 second to start the automatic search in the specified direction. The search ends as soon as an available station is found.
Please note that the reception of radio stations via FM can vary in different regions and not all stations may be available. To improve radio reception, change the location of the product or the orientation of the antenna (12).

Save station

You can also store up to 40 radio stations on the preset buttons for fast access in FM mode. To do this, follow the steps described below:

  • Select a radio station by searching for it manually or automatically as described above.
  • To place the station, you have found directly in programme presets 1, 2 or 3, press and hold the preset 1 button (11), preset 2 button (10) or preset 3 button (7) for about 1 second. The selected programme memory location and the text „stored“ appear briefly in the display. The radio station has now been successfully stored on the selected preset button.
  • If you want to store a found station on one of the programme memory locations 1 to 40, press and hold the preset 4+ button (8) for approx. 1 second. The selection list of presets 1 to 40 appears. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left to select the desired preset. Then confirm your  selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9). The selected programme memory location and the text „stored“ appear briefly in the display. The radio station has now been successfully stored in the selected memory location.

Recalling a preset station

To recall a stored FM station, press the corresponding preset button on the product.
You can play the stations stored in presets 1, 2 and 3 directly by briefly pressing the preset 1 button (11), preset 2 button (10) or preset 3 button (7) once. The station stored there is then played back. To call up a station stored in presets 1 to 40, briefly press the Preset 4+ button (8) once. This takes you to the complete station memory list. Now turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left to select the desired station. Then confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9). The selected station is then played back.
If you select a programme memory location that is not occupied, the text „Preset empty“ appears briefly in the display and the last radio station played is played.

Scan setting

The product has different search settings in FM mode. To select them, proceed as follows:

  1. Press the menu button (4) to enter the submenu of FM radio reception.
  2. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or to the left until the item „Scan setting“ appears in the display. Select it by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  3. You can now select whether all available stations („All stations“) or only stations with a strong signal („Strong stations only“) are to be played during a search. Select the desired setting by turning the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9).

Audio setting

In FM mode, you can select whether you want to listen to a radio station in stereo quality or in mono quality. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Press the menu button (4) to enter the submenu of FM radio reception.
  2. Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or to the left until the item „Audio setting“ appears in the display. Select this by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  3. You can now choose between the options „Stereo allowed“ and „Forced Mono“. Select the desired setting by turning the tuner control knob (9) to the left or to the right. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9).

If the signal of the radio station currently being played back can only be received weakly, the audio setting „Mono“ can improve the sound quality.

Display modes

In FM playback mode, in addition to the time and the station frequency currently being played back, other useful information can be displayed in the LCD display (6). To select the different display modes, press the tuner control knob (9) once or several times.

  • RDS (Radio Data System): The radio station transmits additional information about the current programme, e.g., station name or programme type
  • Audio type: Shows whether the station is currently being played in stereo or mono
  • Time
  • Date

Connection via Bluetooth®

To output the sound of your external player (e.g., smartphone) via Bluetooth® to the product, you must first connect the devices to each other.

  1. Switch on the Bluetooth® function on your external player
  2. Switch on the product as described above. Then press the mode button (2) once or several times until you have selected the Bluetooth® playback mode. The text „Bluetooth waiting BT connection“ appears in the LCD display (6). In pairing mode, the symbol also flashes in the display.
  3. Let your external player/smartphone search for Bluetooth® devices. You will find more information on this in the instruction manual of your external player. After the search, „DABWORK2 513“ should also be listed in the list of devices found.
  4. Select „DABWORK2 513“ from the list of devices found. You will hear a confirmation tone on the product and the icon will stop flashing. The connection has been made and your product is now working as a Bluetooth® playback device. All sounds that would otherwise be played by your player/smartphone will now be played by the product.
  5. To disconnect, press and hold the tuner control knob (9) for about 1 second. A confirmation tone sounds again.

Control via Bluetooth®

If your player is connected to the product via Bluetooth® , the following commands can be controlled via the buttons on the product:

  • Next/Previous track: Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the right or left to skip to the next or previous track.
  • Play/Pause: Press the tuner control knob (9) to pause or resume playback.
  • Increase/decrease volume: Turn the volume control knob (9) to the right or to the left to increase or decrease the volume on the product.

Connection via AUX IN

You can also play the sound of an external player (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) via the AUX input of the product. The connection is made via a 3.5 mm jack cable (not included in the scope of delivery).

  1. Switch on the product as described above. Then press the mode button (2) once or several times until you have selected the AUX IN playback mode. The text „Auxiliary input“ appears in the LCD display (6).
  2. Open the cover cap (17) on the back of the product.
  3. Insert one plug of a 3.5 mm jack cable into a corresponding jack on your external player. Plug the other plug of the 3.5 mm jack cable into the AUX input (14) of the product.
  4. Now control the audio playback via your external player. The sound is played back through the product.
  5. To disconnect the connection, remove the 3.5 mm jack cable from the AUX input (14) of the product.

Charging an external device via USB

The USB charging port (15) on the back of the product is designed exclusively for charging external mobile devices (e.g., smartphones). The current output voltage is 5 V DC, 1 A.

  1. Switch on the product as described above.
  2. Open the cover cap (17) on the back of the product.
  3. Connect the external mobile device to the USB charging port (15) of the product using a USB charging cable (not included).
  4. The battery of your external device is now charging.

Please note that not every mobile device may be able to be charged.

SYSTEM SETTINGS

The basic system settings of the product are available in any playback mode.
To do this, first switch on the product as described above. Then press the menu button (4) and turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right until the item „System“ appears in the display. Select this item by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.

To exit the settings menu, press the menu button (4) again.
In all settings, the currently selected option is always marked with an asterisk symbol *.

Sleep Timer

This function allows you to set a period of time after which the product automatically switches off.

  1. Open the „System“ menu as described above.
  2. Then turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right until the item „Sleep“ appears in the display. Select it by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  3. You can now select the duration of the sleep timer by turning the tuner control knob (9): 15 minutes – 30 minutes – 45 minutes – 60 minutes – 90 minutes – Sleep Off. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  4. The product is switched off automatically after the set time.

The activation of the sleep timer is indicated by the symbol in the display.

EQ settings

The product has 7 equalizer (EQ) settings to adjust the sound output according to the style of music being played.

Press the EQ button (5) to access the EQ setting. Then select one of the preset equalizer settings (Normal, Classic, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Speech) by turning the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right. To confirm your selection, press the tuner control knob (9) once.

In addition to the preset equalizer settings, you can also adjust the sound output individually with the EQ selection „My EQ”.

  • To do this, first select the equalizer setting „My EQ“ as described above.
  • Then turn the tuner control knob (9) to select between the treble and bass settings.
  • To do this, press the tuner control knob (9) to adjust either treble or bass.
  • You can adjust both the treble and bass sound within a range of -7 to +7. The adjustment of the sound is stronger or weaker depending on the setting.
  • Always confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.

You can also adjust the EQ settings via the system settings of the product. To do this, switch on the product as described above. Then press the menu button (4) and turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right until the item „Equalizer“ appears in the display. Select this item by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.

Set time/date

This function allows you to set the time and date. Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the „System“ menu as described above.
  2. Then turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right until the item „Time“ appears in the display. Select it by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  3. Then select the item „Set Time/Date“ by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once again.
  4. First set the hours by turning the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right until the correct time is displayed. Confirm this by pressing the tuner control knob (9).
  5. Then set the minutes by turning the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right again until the correct time is displayed. Confirm this by pressing the tuner control knob (9).

Then repeat this procedure to set the date.

Turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right to set the day, month, and year in sequence. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once

The digit that is currently being set flashes on the display.

You can also make the following settings in the „Set Time/Date“ menu:

  • Automatic update: Select the source from which the time is to be changed automatically. To do this, select the option „Auto update“ in the menu „Set Time/Date“ by pressing the tuner control knob (9). Then select the corresponding source.
    • Update from Any: Changes the time automatically from all sources
    • Update from DAB: Changes the time automatically only in DAB+ mode
    • Update from FM: Changes the time automatically only in FM mode
    • No update: Does not change the time automatically
  • Set the time format: Select in which format the time is to be displayed. To do this, select the option „Set 12/24 hour“ in the menu „Set Time/Date“ by pressing the tuner control knob (9). Then select the format „Set 12 hour“ or „Set 24 hour“.
  • Set the date format: Select the format in which the date is to be displayed. To do this, select the option „Set date format“ in the menu „Set Time/Date“ by pressing the tuner control knob (9). Then select the format „DD-MM-YYYY“ or „MM-DD-YYYY“.

Set backlight

You can adjust the duration and type of illumination of the LCD display (6) to save energy and extend the battery life of the product.

First open the „System“ menu as described above.
Then turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or right to get to the item „Backlight“. Select it by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once. You can then make the following settings:

  • Timeout: Duration after which the display illumination is switched off when not in use, 30 seconds – 45 seconds – 60 seconds – 90 seconds – 120 seconds – 180 seconds – Off
  • On-Level: Brightness of the display Low – High – Medium
  • Dim Level: Intensity when dimming the display Low – High – Medium

Select each option by turning the tuner control knob (9) and confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.

Set language

Use this function to set the language of the menu navigation.

  1. Open the „System“ menu as described above.
  2. Then turn the tuner control knob (9) to the left or to the right until the item „Language“ appears on the display. Select it by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.
  3. You can now select the menu language by turning the tuner control knob (9): German – English – Spanish – French – Italian – Dutch – Norwegian – Polish – Finnish – Danish. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9) once.

SOFTWARE UPGRADE

  NOTE:

A software update should not be necessary during intended use. However, if the product needs a software update, please contact our service hotline. Never carry out software updates yourself!

If you do carry out a software update, you can reset the product as described below.

Software version

Open the menu „System“ as described and select the item „SW version“ with the tuner control knob (9). The display now shows the current number of the installed software version.

Factory reset

To reset the product to the factory settings and thus delete all settings and station memories, turn the tuner control knob (9) in the „System“ menu to the left or right until the item „Factory reset“ appears in the display. Press the tuner control knob (9) and select „Yes“. Confirm your selection by pressing the tuner control knob (9) again. The product is now reset to the factory settings.

Resetting the product

If the product stops responding during operation, reset the product by carefully pressing the RESET socket (16) on the back of the unit with a thin, pointed object (e.g., paper clip or similar).

  • Clean the product with a soft, dry cloth.
  • If the product is stubbornly dirty, use a slightly damp cloth and a little mild detergent if necessary.

All parts must be completely dry before storage

  • Always store the product in a dry place.
  • Store the product out of reach of children, securely closed and at a storage temperature between 5 °C and 20 °C (room temperature).

Disposal
