SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Please read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference.

  2. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and over and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the associated risks.

  3. Children should not play with the appliance.

  4. The iron must not be left unattended when connected to the power supply. Do not use the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room, you should always turn off the appliance.

  5. The iron shall be used and placed on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.

  6. The iron should not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. The iron should be sent to the manufacturer or its authorized representative before further use.

  7. WARNING: Keep the appliance away from children and pets.

  8. Children should not play with the appliance. To ensure the safety of your children, please keep all packaging materials such as plastic bags, boxes, styrofoam, etc. away from them.
    WARNING: Do not allow smail children to play with the packaging materials. Risk of suffocation!

  9. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

  10. Keep the iron and the cord of the appliance away from children under 8 years of age when it is on or cooling.

  11. **CAUTION:** The surface of the appliance may heat up and develop a high temperature during use.

  12. **WARNING:** Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handle or knobs. Risk of injury and burns!

  13. Make sure your mains voltage is the same as the voltage on the appliance’s rating label.

  14. Keep the appliance away from heat sources, direct sunlight and moisture (never immerse it in any liquid).

  15. Keep the cable away from sharp edges and objects.

  16. Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers, sinks, swimming pools, etc. where it may get wet or come into contact with water.

  17. To protect against electric shock, keep the appliance, plug and cord away from water or other liquids.

  18. Never immerse the iron in water or other liquids.

  19. Never bend or pull the cord.

  20. Unplug the appliance from the power supply when not in use, when moving it from one location to another, before installing or removing parts, and before cleaning.

  21. Do not let the cable hang down and come into contact with the hot surfaces of the appliance.

  22. Make sure the power cord is easily accessible at all times.

  23.  When not in use, always place the iron vertically on a stable surface.

  24. Do not use the appliance if its surface is cracked.

  25.  Periodically check the appliance and its cable for any damage.

  26. Do not use the appliance when the cord is frayed, or after it malfunctions, or if it has been damaged in any way. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact a qualified technician for repair.

  27. **CAUTION:** Use only original spare parts. The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer of the appliance may cause hazards.

  28. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

  29. Allow the iron to cool completely before cleaning and storing.

  30. Wrap the cord loosely around the iron during storage and after making sure the iron has completely cooled down.

  31. Do not use or store the appliance in places where there are flammable materials and gases, or in an environment with a lot of dust, air or steam.

  32. Keep a sufficient safety distance from flammable objects such as curtains, fabrics, etc.

  33. This appliance is intended for domestic use only and for its intended purpose. Not intended for professional use.

  34. The appliance is not intended for outdoor use.

  35. To avoid overloading the electrical circuit, do not use another high-powered appliance on the same circuit.

  36. In case you transfer the iron to a third person, please also transfer the user manual.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
  2. Remove all packaging materials and keep out of reach of children.
  3. Remove any sticker, protector or storage cover from the plate.
  4. Check that the mains voltage you will use matches the operating voltage indicated on the appliance’s rating label and that they are in correspondence.
  5. Heat the iron to maximum temperature and iron over a piece of wet cloth for several minutes to remove any residue on the plate.

NOTICE: Some parts of the iron are lightty oiled and as a result the iron may smoke slightly when first tumed on. After a while, this will stop.
NOTICE: When the appliance is used for the first time, there may be a slight odor. It is normal and does not affect the security of your appliance.

HOW TO USE

  1. Place the iron vertically and plug the power cord into the outlet.
  2. Set the temperature knob to the temperature point required according to the instructions on the clothing labels and the fabric indication indicated on the temperature knob. Start ironing when the indicator light turns off.

CAUTION: Avoid ironing over zippers and other sharp parts, as they could scratch the plate.
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

  1. Always check first to see if ironing instructions are attached to the item to be ironed — you can find them on a label showing an iron pattern.
  2. The dots indicate the correct temperature. Refer to the instructions on the clothing labels and the readings on the temperature knob and set it to the required position according to the following readings:

Acrylics / Synthetics – Semisynthetics (low temperature)
Wool / Silk (medium temperature)
Cotton / Linen (high temperature)
CAUTION: The above indications apply to materials that have no applied finish, gloss, etc. Fabrics that have been applied some kind of finish should be ironed at lower temperatures.
NOTICE: Iron-heating is quicker than its cooling. Therefore, start ironing the clothes that require a lower ironing temperature (synthetic fiber fabric and silk) and then iran the clothes of other materials requiring higher temperatures (woolen, cotton etc.).

AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF FUNCTION

The iron has an automatic shut-off function. If the iron remains stationary:

  • It will automatically shut off after about 30 seconds when placed horizontallty.
  • It will automatically shut off after about 8 minutes when placed vertically.

The green light flashes to indicate that the shutdown has been activated. Once you move the iran, the green light stays on steadily and the appliance will begin operating again.
The automatic shut-off function is an extra safety precaution in case the appliance is forgotten on.
For your safety, please always unplug the iron when you have finished ironing and do not leave the room with the iron on,

CLEANING & CARE

  1. Before deaning, disconnect the piug from the outlet, let the appliance cool down completely, and then clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  2. Ironing delicate clothes at high temperature can burn your clothes and leave residue on the unit plate. We suggest ironing an old cloth to dean and remove this residue from the plate.
  3. If using an ironing spray, wipe the plate with a soft, damp cloth to prevent residue build-up.
  4. Never use wire sponges, abrasives or chemicat cleaners or solvents to clean the case or plate of your appliance, as this will cause scratches and/or damage to the appliance.
  5. Do not use harsh, abrasive or corrosive detergents or solvents to clean the appliance and none of the following as a cleaner: benzine, thinners or benzene.

STORAGE

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before storing it.
  2. The appliance should be disassembled before storing.
  3. Always store the appliance in a well-ventilated, dry, safe and clean place. For the better protection of the appliance, store it in its original packaging.

This symbol appearing on the product, its accessories or accompanying manuals indicates that the product and its electronic accessories should not be disposed of with other household trash.
In order to avoid possible harmful effects on the environment or health due to uncontrolled waste disposal, please separate these products from other types of waste and recycle them.
Household users should contact either the store where they purchased this product or their local services for details of where and how they can retum these products for environmentally safe recycling.
