AccuMed BNX H95B Mask Black Respirator

Product Information

Cautions and Limitations

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Please read the instructions provided in this manual carefully. Any deviation from the instructions during times of exposure can reduce the overall effectiveness of the respirator, which may result in sickness or death.
  2. Before using the respirator for occupational purposes, a written respiratory protection program must be implemented, meeting all local government requirements. In the United States, employers must comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134, which includes medical evaluation, training, and fit testing.
  3. Leave the contaminated area immediately if you experience any sign of dizziness, irritation, or other issues.
  4. When not in use, store the respirator away from contaminated areas.
  5. Discard used respirators after one use. Disposal of the respirator must be in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  6. Do NOT attempt to modify or use the respirator in ways other than instructed.
  7. Do NOT use the respirator with beards or facial hair as it may prevent a good facial seal.
  8. Discard the respirator and replace it with a new one if:
    • The respirator becomes damaged or soiled.
    • It becomes difficult to breathe through the respirator.
    • The respirator’s fit is compromised.
    • The respirator reaches its end of shelf life as specified by the use by date.
  9. Do NOT use the respirator or enter/stay in a contaminated area under the following circumstances:
    • In an atmosphere containing less than 19.5% oxygen.
    • In an atmosphere immediately dangerous to life or health.
    • When maximum use concentrations established by regulatory standards are exceeded.

Storage Instructions

Store the respirators before the use by date specified in a location with maximum relative humidity as recommended by the manufacturer.

    • Contaminants or their concentrations are unknown or immediately dangerous to life or health.
    • For sandblasting, paint-spray operations, asbesto

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  • End of Shelf Life Use the respirators before the “use by” date specified.
  • Storage Temperature Range -4°F to 86°F [-20°C to 30°C].
  • Storage Maximum Relative Humidity <80% RH

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

H95
Vertical Folding Headband Style

  • STEP 1
    Unfold the respirator and allow the headbands to hang outward on both sides.

  • STEP 2
    Position the respirator on your face with the adjustable metal nosepiece facing up.

  • STEP 3
    Pull the headbands over your head. Place the bottom band below the ears and the top band on the crown of your head.

  • STEP 4
    Using both hands, press down on the metal nosepiece to form a tight-fitting seal around your nose.

  • STEP 5
    Test the seal by cupping both hands over the protective respirator . Then, begin to inhale and exhale sharply. If air leaks around the respirator’s edges, adjust the straps and reposition the nose piece until a proper seal is formed.

PERFORMING A SEAL CHECK

It is necessary to perform a seal check on the respirator every time you wear it.
Cup both hands around the respirator and inhale and exhale forcefully several times. If you notice any air leakage, adjust the nosepiece and headbands until the leakage is corrected. Once corrected, repeat the seal check again.

WARNING The respirator should not be used without a proper fit. This respirator helps protect against certain contaminants. It may not eliminate the risk of contracting disease or infection. Misuse may result in sickness or death.
Materials which may come into contact with the wearer’s skin could cause allergic reactions to susceptible individuals.
