Product Information

The product is a pressure measuring transducer that comes withDIN plug-in connectors and an active output. It is available in two variants: SHD 400 – U and SHD 400 – I. The transducer is designed for measuring pressure in both gaseous and liquid media. It has a housing made of stainless steel VA or brass, depending on the model. The transducer has different measuring ranges and maximum pressure values depending on the variant. It can measure pressures ranging from 0 to 10 bar, with system pressures ranging from 10 to 45 bar. The output options include a voltage output (0 – 10 V) or a current output (4 – 20 mA). The product is supplied with a fitting set for installation, which can be made of stainless steel VA or brass. It also includes a fixing plate for wall mounting.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Choose the appropriate variant of the transducer based on your requirements (SHD 400 – U or SHD 400 – I).
  2. Ensure that the medium for pressure measurement is compatible with the transducer.
  3. Select the desired measuring range and maximum pressure value based on your application.
  4. Decide on the type of output required (voltage or current).
  5. Install the transducer using the supplied fitting set. Use the stainless steel VA or brass fittings depending on your preference.
  6. Mount the fixing plate on the wall using suitable hardware.
  7. Connect the pressure connection of the transducer to the medium to be measured.
  8. Make the electrical connections according to the provided connection diagrams for the chosen variant (SHD 400 – U or SHD 400 – I).
  9. Apply the appropriate power supply to the transducer.
  10. Monitor the output signal of the transducer using suitable measurement equipment.

The pressure sensor ⁄ differential pressure sensor PREMASGARD® SHD 400 is used to measure above-atmospheric, below-atmospheric, and differential pressures in virtually neutral gaseous and liquid media. A rugged and non-sensitive ceramic pressure measuring cell is used. The measuring pressure acts on the ceramic membrane, causing it to deform. This membrane is fitted with a DMS bridge whose resistance value changes in proportion to the degree of deformation. The electronics integrated in the transmitter housing converts this change in resistance into a standard signal of 0-10 V or 4…20 mA. The process connection is implemented via two internal threads G ⅛ “. It is used in all areas of industrial and sanitary measurement technology, such as differential pressure measurement between the supply and return lines in heating systems or for monitoring filters, fans, and compressors.
