87800-SU LED Recessed Slim Downlight

Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product.
WARNINGS & CAUTIONS: Risk of fire or electric shock. Turn power off before inspection, installation, or removal. Use only on 120 volt circuits. Before installation, thoroughly review enclosed installation manual. This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved. If you do not have sufficient electrical wiring experience, please consult a qualified A electrician. All work should be done by a qualified electrician. Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during installation. To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects. Do not  install this fixture where there is risk of rain or moisture exposure. Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the instructions. Not for emergency lighting. Type IC – Inherently Protected. Operating temperature -20°C — 40°C (-4°F — 104°F). Suitable for damp locations.
Retain these instructions for future reference.

PRE-INSTALLATION

  1. Turn power OFF from the electrical panel before starting installation.

Installation

  1. Cut a hole in the ceiling for your fixture using enclosed template. Ensure that the hole you are going to be cutting does not interfere with studs, piping, electrical or other building structures. (Fig. 1)

  2. Ensure that there is a 1 3/4″ clearance above the light. (Fig. 2)

  3. Using a screwdriver, carefully remove the knockout as shown. (Fig. 3)

  4. Installation requires electrical knowledge, If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician. Remove the junction box cover. Feed supply wire into knockout. (Fig. 4)

  5. Make wiring connecting inside the junction box using the EZ connectors (as shown). Connect the 120V line wire from your house electrical to the black wire (black to black). Connect the neutral wire to the white wire (white to white) (Fig. 5)
    Note: If you are replacing an existing fixture where ground wire is present, you can connect incoming ground wire to the extra EZ connector included. If wiring to another fixture, connect outgoing ground wire to the same EZ connector.

  6. Select Desired CCT and snap closed junction box cover. It will click once in place. (Fig. 6)

  7. Place the box into the ceiling and connect the fixture to the male and female adapters and hand tighten adapter nut. (Fig. 7)

  8. Holding spring clips against fixture, insert the fixture into the hole until it is flush with the ceiling. (Fig. 8)

  9. Turn on all electricity to the fixture and installation is complete.

MULTIPLE FIXTURE CONNECTIONS

If you intend to connect multiple fixtures (daisy chain / feed through installation), insert the additional wire into the adjacent knockout using appropriate electrical fittings and repeat from step 5.
