INTRODUCTION
GENERAL
Please read the user manual of this wi-fi weather station carefully. The BR900
has a wi-fi module and is compatible with the Smart Life and Tuya platform.
You can use the app to check the weather data recorded by the indoor and
outdoor unit. This manual will help you to familiarize yourself with your new
weather station, to learn all of its functions and get advice in case of
problems. Following the instructions can prevent damage to your device. We
shall not be liable for any damage that occurs as a result of not-following of
these instructions. Please keep this instruction manual for future reference.
ATTENTION:
- Please follow the instructions for operation.
- Please use the original or manufacturer specified attachments or accessories.
- Do not disassemble the product, so as to avoid safety hazards.
- Do not place any items on top of the product that may damage the product.
- Do not place the product in a damp place.
- Please terminate use immediately upon damage.
- Do not place the product in places that are exposed to direct sunlight and high temperature such as radiator, electric heater, stove, etc.
- Keep the product away from strong electromagnetic waves, strong static electricity, or moisture and condensation.
- The BR900 is not a toy. Keep the indoor unit, outdoor unit and adapter out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
- Clean your device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use aggressive solvents or scouring agents.

WIRELESS REMOTE SENSOR
- C1: Temperature display
- C2: Humidity display
- C3: Transmission signal light. This lights up when the outdoor sensor sends data to the weather station.
- C4: Selection Celcius and Fahrenheit
- C5: TX: transmitting button to send a signal to the weather station in order to (re)link the units.

INSTALLATION
WEATHER STATION
Open the battery compartment cover of the weather station and insert 2
alkaline 1,5V AA batteries. Note the correct polarity of the batteries [ “+”
and “-” ]. Connect the 5V DC power adapter to power the weather station. The
display will light up and all symbols will appear shortly. The weather station
will then switch to normal operating mode. The batteries are for the settings
if the power supply via the adapter is interrupted unexpectedly.
When the weather station is connected to the power adapter for the first time,
the time bar will blink “01 AP” and the wi-fi indicator LED on the side will
also blink. (1x per second) The wi-fi (EZ) logon mode is now active. If the
weather station does not automatically enter “01 AP” (or “02 AP”, please refer
to the manual) mode when turned on for the first time, it can be activated by
pressing and holding the button for more than 3 seconds.
NOTE: If the power adapter is disconnected, the wi-fi connection will be automatically lost.
WIRELESS REMOTE SENSOR
Open the battery compartment of the wireless remote sensor and insert
preferably 2 lithium batteries 1,5 V AA. In cold environments, lithium
batteries are recommended. Ensure correct polarity of the batteries [ “+” and
“-” ]. The display will light up. The sensor will display the temperature and
humidity within 3 seconds. The outdoor unit transmits information to the
indoor unit at regular intervals. This can be seen by the red signal light on
the front of the unit lighting up briefly.
IMPORTANT:
Select the same channel for both the weather station and the wireless remote
sensor.
Only then can the weather station connect with the remote sensor. A connection
will be established with the outdoor unit within 3 minutes. During this link,
a blinking RF symbol is visible . If the pairing was successful, the
temperature and humidity will appear on the indoor unit display.
For specific logon functions of the weather station and the wireless remote sensor see chapter 2.5 “Pairing weather station and wireless remote sensor”.
USING THE SMART LIFE APP
The BR900 works with the Smart Life or Tuya appfor Android and iOS
smartphones.
CAUTION:
The weather station can only connect to a 2.4G wi-fi network.
Enable location information on your mobile phone when adding your weather
station to the app.
- Download Smart Life from the Google Play or Apple App Store.
- Install the Smart Life app.
- Follow the instructions to create your own account
- The home screen will appear once account registration is complete.
Follow the steps below in your app to pair your weather station.
The device will now connect to wi-fi and complete the following steps:
Note:
If the login in the APP is unsuccessful, briefly press the wi-fi button. The
unit will now switch to a different login mode (wi-fi AP mode). The wi-fi
indicator on the side of the indoor unit now flashes once every 3 seconds. At
the same time, “02 AP” appears in the time window.
During the log on procedure in the APP, you will be asked whether the wi-fi
indicator light blinks quickly (Blink Quickly) or slowly (Blink Slowly).
Select Blink Slowly. Follow the on-screen instructi-ons.
After pairing is complete, the app will automatically synchronise with the
weather station.
Your screen will display the measurements and you can tap the icons on the
screen to access other icons and functions. Tapping the icon on the bottom
left opens a window that shows the curve of the measured temperature and
humidity. Tapping the icon on the bottom right opens a window where you can
change various settings. Changes are immediately visible on the weather
station.
TIME AND DAY INDICATION
The operation buttons on the side of the indoor unit allow you to set
different display views. A short press on the MODE/SET button will show the
following in sequence: Time / Date / Time with day display
Manuel setting
- Press the button repeatedly once to switch the display to calendar, time/ seconds or time/weekday in the lower left display next to the wi-fi symbol.
- Press and hold the button for 2 seconds, the 12/24 hr display will start flashing. Now use the buttons to select the 12/24 hour mode. Press to confirm.
- The time zone will start flashing, now use the buttons to set the correct time zone (-12 to +12). Press to confirm.
- The hour display starts flashing. Now use the buttons to set the correcthour. Press to confirm.
- The minute display starts flashing. Now use the buttons to set the correct minute. Press to confirm your.
- The month display starts flashing. Now use the buttons to set theMonth/Date or Date/Month. Press to confirm.
- The year indication starts flashing. Now use the buttons to set the correctyear. Press to confirm.
- The month display starts flashing. Now use the buttons to set the correctmonth. Press to confirm your setting.
- The date display starts flashing. Now use the buttons to set the correct date. Press to confirm.
- The language selection for the day starts flashing. Now use the buttons toset a language. There are 7 languages available for the day-indication. Press thebutton to confirm.(EN (English), FR (French), IT (Italian), SP (Spanish), DU (Dutch), DA (Danish), GE (German)
- The selection °C en °F starts flashing. Now use the buttons to set Celcius or Fahrenheit. Press to confirm your setting.
- The air pressure in mb/hPa will start to flash. Use the buttons to set the desired view in mb/hPa or inHg or mmHg. Press the button to confirm.
Note:
If no button is operated within 20 seconds while setting, the weather station
will automatically return to the normal display.
PAIRING THE WEATHER STATION AND WIRELESS REMOTE SENSOR
Pairing devices automatically
- Connect the weather station to power supply..
- Select a channel to be displayed on the weather station. Press button to select channel 1, 2 or 3.
- Select the same channel for the wireless remote sensor: open the battery compart- ment to sett the desired channel (1, 2 or 3). The signal light will illuminate regular to indicate that the wireless remote sensor is transmitting signals.
- After connection, the RF signal icon will appear on the indoor unit display of the weather station. This will flash for 3 minutes, indicating that the weather station is in reception mode and waiting for the outdoor wireless sensor to be connect.
Link and read out multiple wireless outdoor sensors
It is possible to register 3 outdoor sensors. If multiple sensors are used
simultaneously, repeat the above operations to connect them. Make sure these
sensors are activated on different channels.
- Press the weather station button repeatedly to view the readings of each channel. When the symbol appears on the display, the outdoor readings from channel 1 to channel 3 (CH1, CH2, CH3) will automatically appear on the display consecutively.
- To see the temperature and humidity on a fixed channel, press the button until the symbol disappears. Then select the desired channel with the button. Only the readings of the selected channel are now visible.
Manual signal reception
If there is no outdoor information showing on the weather station or there is
no change in the temperature and humidity for a long time, there will be a “-
– “sign visible on the display. It indicates that the weather station fails to
receive signals from the wireless remote sensor, please take the following
operations:
- Check and replace the batteries of the outdoor unit if necessary.
- Check whether the indoor and outdoor units are set to the same channel.
- Press and hold the button on the side of the weather station for a few seconds to re-enter the reception mode. A flashing RF antenna symbol will appear next to the channel.
- Press the “TX” button on the wireless outdoor sensor to transmit signals manually. This is indicated by the red light flashing shortly on the front panel.
Note:
When using only one outdoor sensor and the channel of the indoor unit is not
set the same as the channel of the outdoor unit, no outdoor values will be
displayed.
Outdoor sensor placement:
• Do not place the outdoor sensor in direct sunlight.
• Do NOT place the outdoor sensor in the rain. Possible mounting location:
under a roof or porch. Damage caused by rain will not be covered under
warranty.
TEMPERATURE AND HUMDITY
TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY TREND
The weather station monitors the current temperature and humidity.
MAX/MIN DISPLAY TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY
Press the MEM button repeatedly to display the highest and lowest measured
values:
To reset the maximum and minimum measured values, press and hold the MEM
button for a few seconds.
Note: When the outside temperature reaches a temperature between -1°C to +3°C,
the symbol flashes on the display.
WEATHER FORECAST
WEATHER FORECAST EXPLANATION
The weather station calculates the weather forecast based on the history
recorded barometric pressure trend. The weather forecast cannot be compared
with the professional weather services supported by satellites and high-
performance computers. It provides an approximate indication of current
developments. Please take the weather forecast from the professional weather
station as authoritative.
WEATHER FORECAST SYMBOLS
The weather forecast is shown on the display via graphics and the air pressure
trend is shown:
The air pressure is rising
The air pressure is falling
The air pressure remains constant
MOON PHASE
When the date is set correctly, the weather station can display the current moon phase: New Moon, Waxing half moon, Half moon, Waxing full moon, Full moon, Waning full moon, Half moon, Waning half-moon
BACKLIGHT
The brightness of the display can be set as required.
To adjust the brightness of the illumination, press the button.
If the unit is restarted or the power is interrupted, the previous manual
settings will be lost. In case of power failure; please insert 2x alkalines
1,5V AA batteries into the weather station to save the settings.
When the power adapter is disconnected from the product, the product will
switch to power from the backup batteries. At that time, you can press any key
to turn on the backlight for 8 seconds. When using battery power, wi-fi is
automatically turned off.
Power consumption:
It is not recommended to power the weather station with batteries only.
For continuous display, please connect the adapter.

MAINTENANCE
Clean the indoor unit with a moist cloth. Never use aggressive or abrasive
cleaning products. The outdoor unit may also be wiped down with a moist cloth.
DISPOSAL OF THE DEVICE (ENVIRONMENT)
This product may not be discarded as normal household waste at the end of its
life span, you must bring it to a collection point for the recycling of
electric and electronic devices. Don’t throw away exhausted batteries, but
bring them to your local depot for Small Chemical Waste (SCW).

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
For the Buienradar © weather station BR900 you have a warranty of 24 months
from the date of purchase. During this period, we guarantee the free repair of
defects caused by material and workmanship errors.
All this subjected to the final assessment of the importer.
HOW TO HANDLE
If you notice any defect, first refer to the user’s manual. If the manual
provides no definite answer, please contact the supplier of this weather
station.
In the event of a defect, you may return the weather station with a clear
description of your complaint or a dated purchase receipt to your supplier who
will ensure a quick repair or otherwise send the product to the importer.
THE WARRANTY BECOMES NULL AND VOID
In the event of improper use, incorrect connection, use of non-original parts
or accessories, neglect or negligence during maintenance, defects caused by
fire, flooding, lightning strikes and natural disasters and in the event of
breakage due to falling or improper use. In the event of unauthorised
modifications and/or repairs by third parties. In the event of improper
transport of the device without suitable packaging and if the device is not
accompanied by this warranty card or the purchase receipt. Connection cables
and plugs are not covered by the guarantee.
Any further liability, in particular for any consequential damage, is excluded.
