Thank You very much for purchasing an RNVac®. To safely use and get the best performance from your an RNVac®, we strongly recommend that you carefully read this manual.

IMPORTANT SAFE INSTRUCTIONS

When using an elecbical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING VACUUM CLEANER
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:

  1. Do not leave the RNVac® plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
  2. DO NOT expose to rain. Store indoors.
  3. DO NOT allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
  4. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
  5. DO NOT use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
  6. DO NOT pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  7. DO NOT unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  8. DO NOT handle plug or appliance with wet hands
  9. DO NOT put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
  10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
  11. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
  12. If working with RNVac® in an elevated position you MUST make sure it is secure or injury may occur.
  13. DO NOT use RNVac® to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  14. DO NOT use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
  15. NEVER operate RNVac® with the air intake source covered, blocked or clogged.
  16. NEVER operate RNVac® with suction hose kinked or damage to the RNVac® may occur.
  17. DO NOT pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  18. Connect to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock.

This RNVac® must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This RNVac® is equipped with a cord having an equipment­grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt drruit and has a grounding attachment plug that looks like the plug illustrated. Make sure that the appliance is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. NO adapter should be used with this RNVac® .

WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
Note: In Canada, the use of a temporary adaptor is not permitted by the Canadian Electrical Code.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Installing Part #5 -Top Cover and Part #7 Foam Top Cover Filter
    • a) Place Part #7 Foam Top Cover Filter over raised area around the top of the Motor on Part #8 Motor Cover. See Dia. #1.
    • b) Place Part #5 Top Cover on top of Part #8 Motor Cover with Part #7 installed on it. Make sure that Part #7 the Filter engages with the round recess area on Part #5 the Top Cover. This will make sure the Filter is held in position during use, secure part # 5 in place using 4 of Part #6 – #10-14X1 Thread Forming Screws. Hand tighten screws. See Dia. #2.
  2. Installing Part #27 – Filter Shield
    • a) Flip R-N-V upside down. Locate the area on Part #1 Main Body where Part #27 Filter Shield will be installed. See Dia. #3.
    • b) Position Part #27 Filter Shield in place on Part #1 Main Body and push down so it sets in the recess area it is designed to sit into. See Dia. #4.
    • c) Secure Part #27 Filter Shield in Place with 5 of Part 28 #10-24x 3/4 Pan Hand Machine Screws. Install inner screws first.

OPERATION

NOTE: Make sure not to cross thread these screws when installing! Hand tighten only.

  1. Installing Part #24 Float and Part #2 5 Cage Top:
    Part #25 Float Cage Top is installed upside down from factory for shipping purposes. It MUST be removed and flipped right side up before using the RNVac. See Diagram #5 and #6.

    • a) Remove Part #25 Float Cage Top by unscrewing 4 Part #26 #10-14Xl Thread Forming Screws. Flip Part #25 Float Cage Top 180°. Before re-installing Part #25 Float Cage Top make sure the float is in place. The Float should be installed with the plug in the Float is facing toward the motor once Part #25 Cage Top is in place, secure with the 4 Part #26 10-14Xl Threaded form screws, that originally held it in place. Hand tighten only. See Dia. #6.
  2. Installing Part #29 Main Filter

    • a) Position filter over float assembly. Push it in place making sure that the securing screw engages with the threaded insert in Part #25 Float Cage Top. See Dia. #6.
    • b) Once the screw in Part #29 Main Filter has engaged in the insert, spin the filter clockwise while applying gentle pressure downwards. Spin until Part #29 Main Filter is snug. See dia. #7.
  3. Place the RNVac on a Jackson brand steel wheelbarrow. We recommend two-wheel conversion kit.

  4. Make sure on-off switch is in off position.

  5. Plug cord into 120 volt 15 amp dedicated individual branch circuit with ground.

  6. Set RNVac on wheelbarrow.

  7. Move on-off switch to on position.

  8. Begin to vacuum.

NOTE: Loosen bolts that hold the wheelbarrow tray and liberally apply silicone sealant. Then tighten bolts and let cure. This will help increase vacuum as well as help make the wheelbarrow water tight.
WARNING: Use on construction grade steel metal two-wheel wheelbarrow only. Thin gauge steel and plastic wheelbarrows will be damaged. We recommend any of the 6 cubic feet Jackson Brand contractor steel wheelbarrows. (Conversion kits are available)

Storage of RNVac®
When the product is not being used, it should be stored indoors. The power cord shou Id be wrapped around the integral cord wraps.

  1. Model RNVac® 720 volt 60Hz 75 amp connect only to a dedicated individual branch circuit.
  2. For dusty operations always wear dust mask.
  3. Use ear protection that is approved and certified by EPA & OSHA.
  4. Operating vacuum and blower of RNVac® always wear safety goggles complying with ANSI 287.7 (or in Canada) CSA 294.99 shown on package.
