Product Information

  • The product is called TJUGO and is manufactured by IKEA of Sweden AB. It is a charger designed for use with Ni-MH type rechargeable batteries. The charger has an input voltage range of 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz, and an output of 8 x 1.5V for AA batteries and 8 x 1.5V for AAA batteries. The recommended battery types for this charger are Ni-MH AA with a maximum capacity of 2450mAh and Ni-MH AAA with a maximum capacity of 900mAh.
  • The product is certified to UL STD.1310 and CSA STD. C22.2 NO.223-M91 standards. It is intended for indoor use only and should only be used with rechargeable batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries should not be used with this charger.
  • The product complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada’s licence-exempt RSS standard(s). It has been tested to ensure it does not cause harmful interference and can accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.
  • The product should be disposed of separately from household waste and handed in for recycling in accordance with local environmental regulations.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure the charger is disconnected from the power outlet before cleaning or when not in use.
  2. Use a damp cloth to clean the charger. Do not immerse it in water.
  3. Refer to the label on the charger for caution recommendations.
  4. Children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities can use the appliance under supervision or with proper instruction. Children should not play with the appliance, and cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
  5. Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks. Seek professional servicing if needed.
  6. If the supply cord is damaged, replace it with a new cord set type-approved for your country.

USING INSTRUCTION

The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazard involved. Children shall not play with the appliance, Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Charger features

  • Charge and store 1 to 8 pieces of HR6/AA and/or 1 to 8 pieces of HR03/AAA rechargeable batteries.
  • 8 charging channels.
  • Charge is terminated by individual minus delta or zero delta voltage sensors (-dV/dT or 0dV/dT) .
  • Safety by separate safety timer and temperature sensor.
  • After fully charged batteries, charger will go into trickle charging, enables batteries to be stored in the charger.
  • Non-rechargeable and damaged batteries detection.
  • Charging status with LED indicator.

Operating instructions

  • Connect the provided power cord with charger and plug it into the power outlet.
  • Insert the batteries into the charging slots correctly according to the polarity indications (+/-) see pic 1.
  • The LED indicator status:
    • White LED flashing: Charging in progress
    • White LED On: Charging complete Red Led flashing: Error
  • The Red LED indicator will flash if non-rechargeable batteries or damaged batteries are inserted into the charger by mistake.

Good to know

  • Brand new batteries need 2 to 3 times of charging and usage cycles to optimize the battery performance.
  • It is normal for batteries to become hot during charging and they will gradually cool down after charging.
  • Charging time may vary based on different battery capacities.
  • Charging time may vary depending on remaining charge, battery age and ambient temperature.
  • Battery storage temperature: -20°C to 25°C (4°F to 77°F).
  • Charger operation temperature: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
  • Disconnect the charger from the power outlet before cleaning or when it is not used.
  • Use damp cloth when cleaning the charger. Do not immerse into water.
